The physiological character,functions and applications of photosynthetic bacterium had been discussed,during biotransformation of teh com straw treated with ammonia in aerobic,anaerobic and natural conditions,Comparing the concentration of teh reductive sugar and teh protein in teh fermented borth,we suggest a good way of biotransformating teh corm straw by photosyntehtic bacterium.In the photosynthetic bacterium fermentation in which the com straw treated substrate,teh concentrations of the reductive sugar and the transformative reductive sugar and teh protein in teh fermented borth were higher thean those without ammonia. Analysis of the results shows theat the transformative reductive sugar and protein were the nourishment of photosynthetic bacterium,so theere may be a way that we harness the corn straw by teh photosynthetic bacterium.

?AlM: To observe the effect of Qingguang'an on elastic fiber, MMP-7, TlMP-1 in scarring area of filtration canal after glaucoma surgery through the four Qingguang'an effective groups and Qingguang'an granules, to discuss and compare their mechanism of action on scarring area of filtration canal.?METHODS:Four effective components of Qingguang'an were used in groups D, E, F, G and H after glaucoma surgery, compared with group A ( blank ) , group B (model) and group C ( MMC) to observe the effect of elastic fiber, MMP-7, TlMP-1 in scarring filtration canal.?RESULTS:Compared with the preoperative basic lOP and 2d , 1, 2, 4wk postoperative lOP of groups C, E and H, the lOP of three group rose up slower than other groups, and kept the lowest data at 28d. There was significant difference compared with the rest of A, B, D, F, G groups (P<0. 05). The area and density of elastic fiber in surgery group were significantly different with that of black control group ( P<0. 05 ), but there were no statistical differences between groups C and H, groups C and F, groups H and E (P>0. 05). The difference was statistically significant among other groups (P<0. 01).?CONCLUSlON:The scarring area of filtration canal after glaucoma surgery is the major reason which lead to the failure of surgery. Qingguang'an effective group 2, Qingguang'an granules and MMC could reduced the scar tissue by restrained the elastic fiber, TlMP - 1 and increased the MMP-7. By observing the experimental results that both Qingguang'an effective group 2 and Qingguang'an granules could restrained the scarring area of filtration canal, the effects were unbiased, Qingguang'an granules group is better than effective group 2.

Objective To investigate the inhibition of Eriobotryae Folium from twenty different districts towards phosphodiesterase 4(PDF4) in vitro.Methods The Eriobotryae Folium were extracted with 95％ ethanol reflux and the inhibition rates against PDE4D2 were carried out by liquid scintillation counting method.Results All the samples exhibited inhibitory activities towards PDE4 at 5 mg/L.Among them,nine samples were of the inhibition rate less than 80％,eleven samples were of more than 80％ inhibition and eight samples were of more than 90％ inhibition.Conclusion The Eriobotryae Folium shows significantly different inhibitory activities towards PED4.

The objective of this study was to assess the depression, PostTraumatic Stress disorder (PTSD) and its associated factors among the elderly flood victims in Tumpat, Kelantan. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in February 2015 in three villages in Tumpat, Kelantan. Face to face interviews were conducted using socio-demographic performa, Malay version Geriatric Depression Scale 14 (M-GDS 14), Malay version Trauma Screening Questionnaire (TSQ) and flood-related questionnaires. Results: One hundred elderly respondents completed the study. The prevalence of depression and traumatic stress was 15.0% and 17.8%, respectively. The risk factors for depression are being female (Odds ratio [OR] = 5, 95% Confidence Interval [CI]: 1.27, 19.99), family history of mental illness (OR = 39.5, 95% CI: 1.41, 1063.08) and elderly with traumatic stress (OR= 5.38, 95% CI: 1.53, 18.9). There was significant correlation between depression and traumatic stress (r= 0.36, p<0.001). Conclusion: In the aftermath of a natural disaster, female and those who have PTSC are more likely to develop depression. Objective To explore the relationship between gene polymorphism of neuropeptide Y (NPY) promoter and cerebral stroke subtypes according to TOAST (Trail of ORG 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment) criteria in Chinese Han population. Methods The gene polymorphisms at position of-399T/C, -883Tgins/del and -602G/T in NPY promoter were detected by PCR method and gene sequencing in 190 cases of large-artery atherosclerosis stroke (LAA), 260 cases of small-artery occlusion (SAO), 60 cases of cardioembolism stroke (CE), 29 cases of stroke of other demonstrated etiology (ODE),10 cases of stroke of other undemonstrated etiology (UE) and 423 healthy control subjects. The PCR products were directly sequenced. Multivariate logistic regression was performed to analyze the relationship between gene polymorphism of NPY promoter and cerebral stroke subtypes according to TOAST by removing the confounding variables. Results Significant differences in the frequency of genotype CC and allele C at position of-399T/C were noted between the patients with SAO and controls (P=0.046, P=0.010). Compared with the control group, patients with LAA and SAO were more likely having high level of uric acid, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and heard disease (P＜0.05). No statistic differences in the frequency of genotype DD and allele D at position of-883Tgins/del were noted between patients with SAO and controls (P=0.0605, P=0.155). Gene polymorphisms of-399T/C,-883Tgins/del and -602G/T did not associate with an increased risk of having LAA, CE, ODE and UE.Conclusions The gene polymorphisms of promoter in position of-399T/C gene maybe associate with the happening of SAO; allele C at the position of-399T/C may raise the risk of the disease. There is no relationship between the gene polymorphisms of promoter at position of-399T/C, -883Tgins/del, -602G/T and the patients with LAA, CE, ODE and UE. High level of uric acid, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and heard disease history are the risk factors of LAA and SAO.

OBJECTIVE We have recently reported that cysteinyl leukotriene (CysLT) signaling plays an important role in microglial interleukin (IL)-1β secretion and subsequent neurotoxicity. The present study aimed to examine microglial morphological changes and the upstream molecular underlying IL-1βproduction in CysLT receptor agonist leukotriene D4 (LTD4)-treated BV2 microglia in vitro. METHODS Twenty-four hours after murine microglial BV2 cells were stimulated with LTD4 (1-100 nmol·L- 1), the cell proliferation and morphology were observed. The expression level of cysteinyl aspartate-specific protease 1 (CASP1) protein was measured by Western blotin BV2 cells. In addition, BV2 cells were pretreated with or without CysLT1 receptor antagonist montelukast for 1 h and the effects of monte-lukaston LTD4-stimulated microglial activation and CASP1 expression were evaluated. RESULTS The number of BV2 cells had an increasing tendency after 24 h treatment with LTD4, but no significant differences were observed between the control and LTD4-treated cells (P>0.05). Under basal and resting conditions, BV2 microglial cells displayed a ramified morphology. However, LTD4 at 100 nmool · L- 1 drove microglial morphological changes from a ramified towards an amoeboid shape. The expression of CASP1 protein was significantly upregulated in 100 nmool·L-1 LTD4-treated BV2 microglia (P<0.01). Furthermore, pretreatment with CysLT1 receptor antagonist montelukast prevented cell morphological changes and suppressed the increased CASP1 expression in LTD4-treated BV2 cells (P<0.05). CONCLUSION CysLT receptor agonist LTD4 induces morphological changes and CASP1 expressionin BV2 microglia, which can be inhibited by CysLT1 antagonist. These results suggest the involvement of CysLT signaling in microglial morphological changes and CASP1 expression.

Objective To explore the risk factors on the symptoms of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation so as to develop a predictive model for the disease. Methods With a populationbased case-control study, 303 of 50 123 residents were diagnosed as having lumbar intervertebral disc herniation symptoms. 152 cases and 167 healthy controls, matched by gender and age, were randomly chosen as case and control groups. Questionnaires were used to collect information on the exposure to risk factors and logistic predictive model was then established. Results Through non-conditional logistic regression analysis, data showed that the positive family history of lumbar vertebra disorder, lumbar treatment or surgery, mental stress, acute low back injury, permanent work pose, and body mass index ≥23.0 kg/m2 were the risk factors among residents from the countryside. The area under the receiver operator characteristic curve of logistic predictive model was 0.809. When 0.4 was set as the classification cutoff, the total predictive correct rate, sensitivity, and specificity were 74.0%, 73.7%, and 74.3% respectively. Conclusion The occurrence of lumbar disk herniationcan in countryside population was affected by multi-variables including genetic and environmental, and could be predicted with the logistic regression model established by our group.The positive predictive results could be used to alarm the patients and doctors for prevention and treatment of the disease.

In the present study, an ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with time-of-fight mass spectrometry (UPLC-TOF/MS) based chemical profiling approach was used to evaluate chemical constitution between co-decoction and mixed decoction of ginseng and Radix Aconiti Praeparata. Two different kinds of decoctions, namely co-decoction of ginseng and Radix Aconiti Praeparata: water extract of mixed two herbs, and mixed decoction of ginseng and Radix Aconiti Praeparata: mixed water extract of each individual herbs, were prepared. Batches of these two kinds of decoction samples were subjected to UPLC-TOF/MS analysis. The datasets of t(R) m/z pairs, ion intensities and sample codes were processed with supervised partial least squared discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) to holistically compare the difference between these two decoction samples. Significant difference between the two decoction samples was showed in the results of positive ion mode. The contents of hypaconitine and deoxyaconitine decreased, while that of benzoylmesaconine, benzoylhypaconine and dehydrated benzoylmesaconine increased in the samples of co-decoction of ginseng and Radix Aconiti Praeparata. The content of diester-diterpenoid alkaloids decreased, while that of monoester-diterpenoid alkaloids increased, which is probably the basis of toxicity-attenuated action when combined ginseng with Radix Aconiti Praeparata.

Abstract: Objective　To analyze the epidemiological characteristics (season, age, gender, mixed infection and clinical manifestations, etc.) of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) infection in children in Hainan Province, so as to provide epidemiological evidence-based medical basis for the prevention and control of MP infection in children in Hainan Province. Methods　The serum IgM antibodies of MP, Legionella pneumophila, Chlamydia pneumoniae, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Q fever Rickettsia, parainfluenza virus, influenza A virus and influenza B virus in children with respiratory tract infections (RTIs) who were hospitalized in pediatrics of many hospitals in Hainan Province from March 2012 to February 2020 were detected by indirect immunofluorescence method. The positive serum MP-IgM antibody was defined as MP infection. The epidemiological and clinical data of MP infected cases were analyzed retrospectively. Results　From March, 2012 to February, 2020, a total of 35 731 qualified pediatric inpatients with RTIs in many hospitals in Hainan Province were tested for serum MP-IgM with the total positive rate of 39.12% (13 978/35 731). The yearly positive rates of MP-IgM from 2012 to 2020 were 48.39%, 56.23%, 56.62%, 47.04%, 29.71%, 24.14%, 47.55%, 36.84% and 24.46% respectively. The positive rates of MP-IgM in 2013 and 2014 were significantly higher than those in other years (P<0.05). The positive rate of MP-IgM in summer in Hainan Province was the highest (41.34%) and the lowest in winter (35.77%) (P<0.05). MP infection occurred in all age groups, the positive rate of MP-IgM in children of preschool (51.80%) was significantly higher than that in other age groups (P<0.01), and the positive rate of MP IgM in children of infancy (15.36%) was lower than that in other age groups (P<0.01). The positive rate of MP-IgM in female was 44.77%, which was significantly higher than that in male (35.83%) (P<0.05). MP infection combined with positive IgM of another pathogen accounted for 32.63% (4 561 cases), positive IgM of another two pathogens accounted for 1.26% (176 cases). MP infection was mostly found in pneumonia (68.73%), and the main clinical symptoms were cough (84.72%), fever (51.01%) and wheezing (3.16%). Conclusions　MP is an important pathogen of respiratory tract infection in children in Hainan Province, and infection is more common in children in early school age and early childhood. Mp-specific tests should be performed to identify the pathogen in children suspected of MP infection. In the high incidence season, health education should be strengthened in kindergartens, schools and other places to prevent respiratory tract infection.
