Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(6):418-419
OBJECTIVE:
To explore synergic effect of treatment of the second branchial fistula with endoscopic resection.
METHOD:
All patients of the second branchial fistula were scanned in neck with CT (computed tomography), we injected ioversol-320 from the entrance of the second branchial fistula in front of sternocleidomastiod into the second branchial fistula, then scanned the neck with CT (computed tomography), and rebuilding the picture of the second branchial fistula, to prepare for the operation. 9 patients of the second branchial fistula were operated under general anesthesia with endoscopic resection.
RESULT:
All of 9 patients were cured. no one recurred after follow-up of 6 months.
CONCLUSION
It is minimally invasive and complete to resect the second branchial with endoscopic resection, the operation is simply and easy to promote.

Objective To observe the effects of fasudil hydrochloride injections on the levels of endothdin(ET)-1,nitric oxide(NO)in plasma and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH),and analyze, its mechanisms in preventing cerebral vasospasm(CVS).Method Sixty SAH cases were randomly divided into fasudil group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). On 2nd and 10th day after in hospital, the speed of cerebral blood flow was measured by transeranial Doppier(TCD),and the levels of ET-1,NO in plasma and CSF were measured by radio-immunity.Results The incidence of CVS in fasudil group were significantly less than those in control group[6.67%(2/30)vs 36.67%(11/30),P<0.05].On the 10th day,the levels of ET-1 in plasma and CSF in fasudil group were signitlcandy lower than those in control group[(118.23±14.56)ng/L vs(132.26±15.18)ng/L,(138.23±16.58)ng/L vs (156.24±17.54)ng/L ](P<0.05),the levels of NO were significantly higher than those in control group [(88.25±15.54)μmol/L vs(70.26±14.86)μmol/L,(104.27±16.52)μmol/L vs(92.43 ±12.51)±mol/L](P<0.05).But there were no significant difference on the 2nd day(P>0.05).Conclusion Fasudil can reduce CVS in patients with SAH by lowering the levels of ET-1 and increasing the levels of NO in plasma and CSF.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2008;6(2):83-86
Objective:To investigate the onset mechanism of cervical vertigo from the proprioceptive sensation and provide clinical basis for its treatment. Methods:Among the 121 cases that conformed to the diagnostic criteria of cervical vertigo,70 cases who presented with negative neck-rotation test and cervical vertigo without obvious vascular factors by transcranial Doppler(TCD)were assigned to the observation group, while 51 cases who presented with positive neck-rotation test and cervical vertigo due to spasm of vertebral basal artery or insufficient blood supply by TCD were assigned to the control group. The cases in the two groups were treated once every day,5 days make up one treatment course and the resuIts were statistically analyrzed after one treatment course. Results:The skull triaxial spatial offset of the cases in the two groups were significantly reduced after the treatment (P<<0.01).However, there was no statistically significant difference between the skull triaxial spatial offset between the two groups (p>0.05).It is not conclusive that the therapeutic effect in the two groups was significantly different after one treatment course. Conclusion:Tuina manipulation therapy can improve the skull spatial ofrset repositioning ability of the Patients.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2009;7(3):147-151
Objective:To study the tuina effect on sleep disorder and emotional problems of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) cases.Method:Thirty CFS cases were treated in the treatment group,by applying one-thumb pushing, rolling and pressing-kneading manipulations along the Governor Vessel,Bladder and Yangming Meridians. The intended major points include Fengfu (GV 16),Yaoyangguan (GV 3),Xinshu (BL 15),Pishu (BL 20),Ganshu (BL 18),Hegu (LI 4) and Taixi (KI 3).The treatment was done once every other day;10 times constitute a course of treatment.Another 30 healthy cases were selected in the control group, without any intervention. The sleep quality and mental state in the two groups were evaluated by PSQI,HAMA and HAMD.In addition, the pre-treatment and post-treatment score changes were observed. Results:Before treatment, the total score of PSQI,sleep quality, time of falling asleep, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder, daytime functional impairment, and scores of HAMD and HAMA in treatment group were all substantially higher than the control group (P<0.01).After 10 tuina treatments, the total score of PSQI,time of falling asleep, sleep disorder and daytime functional impairment as well as scores of HAMD and HAMA in treatment group were significantly changed, compared with before treatment,P<0.05.Conclusion:Those with CFS may present with sleep disorder and mental or psychological abnormality, tuina can improve their sleep quality and adjust their mental conditions.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
AIM To investigate actions of total paeony glycoside(TPG) on learning and memory capacity and related products of metabolism of senile mice induced by D galactose. METHODS The subacute senile mouse models induced by injection of D galactose subcutaneously were used. RESULTS TPG could improve the learning and memory capacity of model mice in shuttle test and enhance spatial resolution in water maze test. TPG not only reduced the content of monoamine oxidase(MAO) and inhibited the decrease of cholinesterase(CHE) significantly, but also lessened the level of malondialdehyde(MDA) and inhibited the decrease of superoxide dismutase(SOD) in cerebrum of model mice. TPG still promoted the recovery of lobar atrophy and hypoimmunity of senile mice remarkedly. CONCLUSION TPG possesses obvious effects of improvement on learning, spatial resolution and delaying senility.
