1.Resistant starch and diabetes
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2009;17(1):53-55
Resistant starch is starch that escapes from digestion in small intestine and ferments in large intestine. Recent studies have demonstrated that resistant starch can decrease blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglyceride, enhance the sensitivity of insulin, and reduce body weight Therefore, it is useful for the prevention and treatment of diabetes. This article reviewed the effects of resistant starch on blood glucose, blood lipid and insulin resistance of diabetes.

3.DETERMINATION OF TOTAL OXALATE IN SPINACH BY SPECTROPHOTOMETRY
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
An improved method for determination of the total oxalate in spinach was proposed. Oxalate in the spinach was precipitated at alkaline in CaC2O4 form. The precipitate was obtained by centrifugation and then acidified by HCIO4. KMnO4 was added and absorptivity was determined at 525 nm at a fixed time. This method was accurate and simple. Organic impurities existed in spinach could be removed by ultrviolet ray. The range of determination was 2?g/ml-35?g/ml. The recovery rate was 93-105% and the coefficient of variation was less than 5.35%.
4.Effects of Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction on plasma levels of interlcukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α in allergic rhinitis in rats
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(2):153-156
Objective To investigate the effects of Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction on the plasma levels of interlcukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in allergic rhinitis in rats. Methods Thirty-two Wistar rats were randomly divided into a control group, a model group, a chlorpheniramine group, and a Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction group, with 8 rats in each group. Allergic rhinitis was induced by ovalbumin sensitization. Rats in the chlorpheniramine and Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction groups received intragastric administration of 0.01%chlorpheniramine and Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction 0.4 g (twice daily for 21 days), respectively. The plasma levels of IL-6 and TNF-αwere measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The frequencies of sneezing (2.4 ± 0.9/30 min vs.18.5 ± 3.6/30 min) and nasal rubbing (4.2 ± 1.5/30 min vs. 31.2 ± 3.7/30 min) in the Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction group were significantly lower than those in the model group (all P<0.05). The plasma levels of IL-6 (153.00 ± 13.87 pg/ml vs. 230.38 ± 33.92 pg/ml) and TNF-α(21.25 ± 4.62 pg/ml vs. 56.38 ± 7.93 pg/ml) in the Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction group were significantly lower than those in the model group (all P<0.05). Conclusions Mahuang-Xixin-Fuzi decoction can reduce the plasma levels of IL-6 and TNF-α, and alleviate symptoms in allergic rhinitis in rats.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of irbesartan and enalapril on the blood pressure and the expression of related plasma molecule-marker in SHR rats.METHODS: Forty SHR were randomly divided into irbesartan group(SHR-I),enalapril group(SHR-E),irbesartan-enalapril group(SHR-IE) and blank control group(SHR-C).Another ten WKY rats were assigned to normal group(WKY).The blood pressure and activities of sICAM-1 and PAI-1 were measured after 16-week's intragastric administration with corresponding drugs, and then the results were compared with those before experiment.RESULTS: As compared before treatment, there were significant differences in blood pressure in all drug-treated groups after treatment(P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Aim To provide experimental basis to study Human Cytomegalovirus(HCMV)infected disease and filtrate anti-virus drugs, HCMV acute interstitial pneumonia murine model was established. Methods Balb/c mice were infected with HCMV AD_ 169 strain. The rate of breath and weight of mice were observed, specific anti-HCMV antibody in serum was detected by ELISA, and viral isolation, Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and pathological examination of lung tissue were performed aswell. Results Compared with the control group, the rate of breath of mice in the group infected with HCMV increased, while their weight decreased (P

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2012;26(13):618-623
Neural plasticity is one of the most important research area of developmental neurobiology. NMDA(N-Methyl-D-aspartate) receptor is one of the glutamate receptors in nervous system, which palys an important role in many biological and pathological changes, such as development of neural network, neural plasticity, learning and memory, degeneration of the neurons and so on. The studies on NMDA receptor with auditory plasticity and learning and memory were reviewed in order to make early intervention for hearing impaired children and provide a theoretical basis.

China Pharmacist 2015;18(10):1711-1714
Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of related substances in enalapril maleate dispersible tablets.Methods:AKromasil100-SC8(250mm×4.6mm,5μm)columnwasused. ThemobilephaseAwas0.01mol·L-1potassi-um dihydrogen phosphate (adjusting pH to 2. 2 with phosphoric acid) and mobile phase B was acetonitrile with gradient elution, and the flow rate was 1. 0 ml· min-1 . The detection wavelength was 215nm,the column temperature was 40℃,and the injection volume was 20 μl. Results:The linear range of enalaprilat, enalapril maleate and eanlapril diketopiperazine was 14.64-43.92 μg·ml-1(r =0. 999 8), 9. 29-27. 87 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 1)and 10. 80-32. 40 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 5), respectively. Enalaprilat was not detec-ted out and enalapril diketone was 0. 2% using the method described in Chinese pharmacopeia, and the content of enalaprilat was 0. 1% and that of enalapril diketone was 0. 2% using the gradient elution. The related substances and enalapril maleate could be sepa-rated well. Conclusion:The method is sensitive, accurate and highly specific in the quality evaluation and control.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the efficacy and feasibility of compound glycyrrhizin in combination with anisodamine for the treatment of allergic purpura. METHODS: 60 patients with allergic purpura were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was given only the conventional therapy while the treatment group was treated with compound glycyrrhizin plus anisodamine in addition to the conventional therapy as stated in the control group. The course of treatment for both groups was 10 continuous days. RESULTS: The total effective rates for the treatment group and the control group were 90% and 60% (P

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 1998;0(02):-
Objective To study the changes of the blood Platelet activating factor (PAF)levels in neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE),and explore the relationship between PAF levels and severity of brain damage. Method The levels of blood PAF and SOD were measured in neonates with HIE by radio immunoassay and compared with that of normal term neonates. Results Blood PAF levels were much higher in acute stage of HIE,and PAF levels increased with the severity of HIE.Blood SOD and platelets were much lower compared with PAF. PAF is negatively correlated to SOD and PLT.( r=-0.467 and r=-0.359,P
