This study was aimed to observe the antibacterial activity and bactericidal action ofC.albicans in vitro, and the effects of curing monilial vaginitis mouse by extraction of globeflower residue fermentation (EGRF) in vivo.In vitrostudy, test tube method as well as plate method were used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) ofC.albicansrespectively.In vivo, mouse were devided into normal controlled group,C. albicans vaginitis model group (Model), Model + EGRF (40, 80, 160 mg?kg-1) group, and fluconazole group (20 mg?kg-1). All drugs were vaginal delivery once a day with continuous administration for seven days. Then vulva inflammation, negative rate of vaginal discharge, microbial load of vaginal lavage and the pathological changes of vaginal mucosa were observed. After the treatment of EGRF, the MIC and MBC of Candida albicans were 0.31 mg?mL-1 and 1.25 mg?mL-1, respectively, while the potency unit ratios between EGRF and fluconazole of MIC and MBC were 2 to 1 and 1 to 1, respectively. In comparison with Model, vulva inflammation of Model + EGRF gourp and fluconazole group was improved, whileC. albicanscount in vaginal secretions of these two groups were decreased, the overcast rate ofC. albicansof vaginal douche was increased, and pathological changes of vaginal mucosa were also improved in the two groups, which were in dose-dependent manners. And high dose Model + EGRF group was close to fluconazole group. In conclusion, EGRF had obvious inhibitory effect onC. albicans in vitro. It also had a better therapeutic effect onC. albicans vaginitis mouse.

Objective To evaluate the influence of peritoneal transport characteristics on nutritional status of peritoneal dialysis patients and estimate the role of peritoneal transport characteristics and nutritional status in evaluation of peritoneal dialysis adequacy. Methods Peritoneal transport properties (D/Pcr) were evaluated by Short Peritoneal Equilibration Test and then 53 cases were divided into high transport group (D/Pcr ≥0. 65) and low transport group (D/Pcr < 0. 65). Urea kinetics (Kt/v) and total clearance of creatinine (TCcr) were calcu- lated. Serum albumin (ALB), prealbumin, transferring (TF), hemoglobin (Hb), lean body mass (LBM) and LBM% were examined or calculated. Subjective global assessment (SGA) was used to evaluate the nutritional sta- tus of patients. Results There were 30 cases in high transport group and 23 cases in low transport group. D/Pcr (0. 82±0.15 vs. 0. 55±0. 08, P < 0. 01), TCcr (62. 93%±25. 98% vs. 49. 69%±16. 92% , P < 0. 05) and age were significantly higher in high transport group than those in low transport group, while ALB, TF, Hb, LBM% , and SGA were significantly lower than those in low transport group (P < 0.05). ALB was negatively cor-related with Kt/v (r= -0.2708, P<0. 05). Conclusions High peritoneal transport patients have better solute clearance but worse nourishment status compared with low transport ones. Nutritional status is one of the factors to evaluate dialysis adequacy. Nutrition management and guidance should be strengthened for the continuous ambula- tory peritoneal dialysis patients, especially for the elderly ones.

Objevtive To investigate the safety of laparoscopic resection and ~(125)I seed implantation for recurrent gynecologic malignancies. Methods Laparoscopic surgery and ~(125)I seed implantation were used in five patients. All complications were recorded. Environmental radiation dose was detected at different distance from radioactive source and different time after operation with-γ-ray equipment. Results The procedure was safely achieved in all five patients. No serious complication was found. All patients experienced slight pain at the implant site and temporary vulva dropsy. With the increase of the distance from radioactive source and time passing, the radiation dose decreased quickly. The detected dose was close to a natural background radiation dose at the distance of 50cm from radioactive source and after 6 months. Conclusions Laparoscopic resection and ~(125)I seed implantation are safe to patient and environment.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD)and risk factors in the adult population of Tianshan district in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Methods A total of 2131 residents from 4 communities in Tianshan district of Urumqi city were randomly selected using a stratified, multistage sampling. All the residents were interviewed and tested for morning spot urine of albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR) (abnormal ≥ 30 mg/g), morning spot urine dipstick of hematuria ( abnormal >3 red blood cells/HP or greater) and pyuria ( abnormal> 5 white blood cells/HP) confirmed by microscopy. Renal function was determined with abbreviated MDRD equation [reduced estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)<60 ml ·min-1 ·(1.73 m2)-1]. The associations of kidney damage indicators with age, gender, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, income, education, cholesterol, triglyceride and smoking were examined. Results Eligible data of 2131 subjects were collected in the study. After the adjustment of age and gender component, the prevalence of albuminuria was found in 2.63% (95%CI:1.78%-3.48%) of subjects, hematuria in 7.43%(95%CI:6.11%-8.75%) and reduced renal function in 1.72%(95%CI:1.08%-2.35%).Approximately 9.99%(95%CI:8.47%-11.55%) of subjects had at least one indicator of kidney damage. Multivariate logistic regression revealed that albuminuria, hematuria, age and hyperuricemia were independently associated with reduced renal function. Hematuria and reduced renal function were independently associated with albuminuria. Albuminuria, reduced renal function and female were independently associated with hematuria. Conclusion In urban adult population over 35 years old of Urumqi, a big city in western China, the prevalence of CKD is 9.99%, the recognition is 2.44% and the risk factors of CKD are similar to those of other domestic big cities and western developed countries.

Objective To explore the immune mechanism of negative results of immune tests of schistosomiasis japonica pa?tients. Methods Totally 142 schistosomiasis patients(positive stool examinations)of Poyang Lake region were tested by ELI?SA method, and the ROC curve was applied to determine the high and low response of the patients. The levels of cellular immu?nity and cytokines of high and low responders were compared. Results Totally eight schistosomiasis patients were found as low responders. Besides SWAP?IgA(t= -1.588,P > 0.1),the levels of isotype antibodies were significantly lower in the low re?sponders compared with those in the high responders(t = -14.517 to -2.866,all P < 0.05). In the low responders, the propor?tion of CD3+T was increased;and the proportions of CD4+T,CD8+T,CD4+CD25+Treg,and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ were all de?creased, but all of them were not significant(t = -1.72 to 0.974,all P > 0.05)compared with those in the high responders. The differences of IFN?γ and IL?10 between the high and low responders were both not significant(t= -2.426 to 0.216,all P >0.05). Conclusions There is a significant difference between the high and low responders only in the levels of isotype antibod?ies. One of the reasons of low response in the immune tests is the much lower antibody level after the antigen?antibody compound is completely formulated.

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2016;47(5):619-624
In this study, the effect of heparin-derived oligosaccharide(HDO)on lipopolysaccharides(LPS)-induced inflammation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)and the molecular mechanisms were investigated. The generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)was detected by 20, 70-dichlorofluorescein diacetate(DCFH-DA). Experiment is divided into blank group(0. 5% serum medium), model group(LPS+0. 5% serum medium)and HDO dosing group(LPS+0. 5% serum medium +0. 01, 0. 1, 1mol/L HDO). The intracellular reactive oxygen species level was detected by reactive oxygen species experiment, the level of key regulatory proteins p38 and p-p38 in MAPK pathways and VCAM-1 were determined by Western blot. The results showed that HDO at 0. 01, 0. 1 and 1 μmol/L could inhibit the expression of VCAM-1 in HUVECs induced by 100 μg/mL LPS, and reduce the expression of key regulatory proteins p38 and p-p38, but could not obviously affect NF-κB nuclear translocation. The results all above showed that HDO could decrease the key regulatory proteins expression, and suppress the transcription of VCAM-1, resulting in inhibiting inflammation.
