Electroencephalogram(EEG) is necessary in diagnosis of status epilepticus (SE),particularly in non-convulsive SE with minor or atypical clinical manifestations.SE is a dynamic process,as seizures continue,in which EEG changed and appeared nonepileptic rhythm discharges.Ictal EEG patterns of SE are non-specific and different types of SE have different EEG features. In this paper, the EEG of different type SE will be summarized.

Objective To compare the value of fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC),Tg,TgAb and ultrasonography (US) for the differential diagnosis of lymph node metastasis in patients with DTC after operation and radioactive iodine remnant ablation. Methods A total of 61 DTC patients with enlarged lymph nodes detected by US or physical examination after operation and radioactive iodine remnant ablation were included.FNAC was performed on the lymph nodes under US guidance within one week and the results were compared with those of Tg,TgAb and US.Final results were confirmed by comprehensive FNAC,posttreatment whole, body scan (Rx-WBS) and clinical follow-up.x2 test and Fisher's exact test were performed.Resuits Fifty-eight DTC patients had successful FNAC results, and 40 patients were confirmed as malignant and 18 as benign after overall assessment.FNAC identified 39 malignant and 19 benign cases. The coincidence rates of FNAC with postoperative pathological diagnosis and Rx-WBS for malignant cases were 100% (20/20) and 78.9% (15/19),respectively.For the benign cases, the coincidence rates of FNAC with clinical follow-up and Rx-WBS were 93.3% (14/15)and 4/4,respectively.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 97.5%(39/40),100%(18/18) and 98.3%(57/58) for FNAC; 87.5%(35/40),55.6%(10/18) and 77.6%(45/58) for US; 92.5%(37/40),72.2%(13/18) and 86.2%(50/58) for Tg combined with TgAb (Tg/TgAb).The accuracy of FNAC was higher than that of US and Tg/TgAb(x2 =4.336,11.697,both P<0.05),while US and Tg/TgAb showed no significant difference (x2 =1.450,P>0.05).Tg/TgAb and US results were consistent in 39 cases with a diagnostic accuracy of 97.4% (38/39) verified by FNAC,while the other 19 cases with inconsistent Tg/TgAb and US results were verified as malignant in 4 cases and benign in 15 cases. Conclusions FNAC is superior to US and Tg/TgAb in the evaluation of lymph node metastasis in DTC patients after operation and radioactive iodine remnant ablation.FNAC should be recommended particularly when Tg/TgAb and US had inconsistent results.

Objective To improve the level of CT in diagnosing LDH and to provide the proof for selecting method of clinical treatment in lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods 218 cases of LDH showed by CT and operative exploration were analysed retrospectively. Results The accurate rats of CT diagnosis of LDH were 95.4%. According to CT findings it may be divided into 5 types: Ⅰ was central type, Ⅱ was postero-lateral type, Ⅲ was forminal type, Ⅳ was extreme lateral type, was nucleus pulposus type. Conclusion CT plays an important role in diagnosis and selecting methods of clinical treatment of LDH; It is signficance to enhance the accurate rats of CT diagnosis and the effect of treatment by distinguish nucleus pulposus and fibrous scar tissue from CT finding of LDH.

Objective:To compare low temperature coblation assisted tonsillectomy with conventional dissec-tion tonsillectomy intraoperation and afteroperation. Method:Ninty-two pedia-patients were randomly divided into coblation-assisted tonsillectomy group and the control group. Arthrocare EVac 70 T&.A Wand was used for cobla-tion-assisted tonsillectomy, and the energy set was 7. Conventional dissection tonsillectomy was operated in control group. The operating time, bleeding, tonsillar fossae healing and return to normal diet and activities, intraoperative complications were recorded seperately. Postoperative pain of the pedia-patients was recorded daily using Wong Baker FACES pain scale for 10 days of afteroperation. Result: Coblation assisted group had a shorter operative time than the control group (10. 2min vs. 36. 5min, P<0. 001). The average amount of intraoperative bleeding of Coblation assisted group was(6. 83±3. 36) ml, while the control group was(30. 07±7. 04)ml. Pedia-patients of Coblation group had a better pain score on 1, 2, 3 days after operation than in control group, and there was no statistically significant difference on 4 to 10 days between the two groups. Coblation group ones returned to normal diet earlier than the control group, but both group required similar time returned to normal activities. There was one patient in control group, who required suturing to stop bleeding for active oropharyngeal bleeding on the 6th day after operation. Conclusion: Comparing with traditional dissection, Coblation assisted tonsillectomy is easy to perform with less intraoperative bleeding, shorter operation time, earlier return to normal diet, less pain on 1st to 3th day postoperatively.

Background and objective For highly aggressive small cell lung cancer (SCLC), early diagnosis is im-portant for its prognosis, but the current inspection methods are more limited, with poor specificity of the traditional imaging methods, and the high cost of PET/CT, difcult to popularization and application. SCLC is kind of neuroendocrine tumors, high expression of somatostatin receptors, which is the cornerstone of its early molecular imaging diagnosis. Te aim of this study is to observe the biodistribution and metabolism of 99mTc-octreotide in normal and the human SCLC bearing nude mice. Methods Dynamic and static scintigraphy at 0.5 h, 2 h, 3 h, 4 h were performed in both normal and tumor bearing nude mice afer intravenous injection of 99mTc-octreotide. Te technique of drawing region of interest (ROI) was used to obtain the aver-aged pixel counts and the activity-time (A-T) curve of brain, heart, lung, liver, kidney, tumor, respectively. Results ① Te biodistribution study in normal nude mice showed highest uptake in kidney and liver, lower in lung and heart, lowest in brain. Most 99mTc-octreotide was excreted via kidney. ② All tumors were displayed clearly at 3 h postinjection of 99mTc-octreotide. Te averaged T/N ratio at 0.5 h, 2 h, 3 h, 4 h postinjection of 99mTc-octreotide was 1.163±0.03, 2.08±0.12, 3.03±0.23, 2.689±0.31, respectively (F=51.69, P<0.000,1). Te radioactivity of tumor was lower than liver, and similar with the lung. Te curve of tu-mor showed a radioactivity peak at 2 min-3 min postinjection. Conclusion 99mTc-octreotide receptor imaging on nude mice bearing SCLC shares high positive rate, especially at 3 h postinjection.
