OBJECTIVETo discuss the operation method and characteristic of correcting upper eyelid depression by transposition of orbital septum fat.
METHODSDuring the double eyelid surgery, we set.the lateral orbital septum fat completely free, while the bottom is still connected with the middle orbital septum fat. We separate a tunnel from the middle to the inner side in orbital septum, and the separated orbital septum fat is transposed to the inner side of orbital septum by the tunnel with suturing fixation.
RESULTSFrom March 2008 to October 2013, 51 cases with upper eyelid depression were treated successfully. Patients were followed up for 3 months to 3 years (average, 7. 5 months) with sustained aesthetic results.
CONCLUSIONSOrbital septum fat transposition can successfully correct the upper eyelid depression. It should become a regular procedure in blepharoplasty.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of tranexamic acid radiofrequency introduction combined with Q-switched laser comprehensive treatment of moderate to severe melasma. Methods:From December 2019 to September 2021, ninety-six female patients with melasma [age 24-59 years old, average age (37.8±6.0) years old] were admitted to the Plastic and Aesthetic Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine. They were divided into the Q-switched laser group and the combined group by random number table method, with 48 cases respectively. The Q-switched laser group received Q-switched laser therapy, while the combined group received tranexamic acid radiofrequency introduction combined with Q-switched laser comprehensive therapy. The melasma area and severity index (MASI) scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy, adverse reactions and recurrence rates of the two groups were compared. Results:The MASI scores of the Q-switched laser group and the combined treatment group were (28.28±1.24) points and (28.52±4.25) points respectively before treatment, and (13.38±7.96) points and (9.11±5.48) points respectively after treatment. The MASI scores of the two groups were decreased after treatment, which of the combined group was lower than that of the Q-switched laser group ( t=3.06, P<0.05). The total clinical effective rate of the combination group (93.75%) was higher than that of the Q-switched laser group (79.17%) (χ 2=4.36, P<0.05). The incidence rate of hyperpigmentation (2.08%) and recurrence rate (2.08%) of the combination group were lower than those of the Q-switched laser group (14.58%, 16.67%) (χ 2=6.01, P<0.05). Conclusions:Tranexamic acid radiofrequency introduction combined with Q-switched laser comprehensive treatment can improve skin lesions and clinical efficacy in patients with moderate to severe melasma, and reduce pigmentation and recurrence.

Objective To explore the motor development and how it is influenced by gestational age and birth weight in children with autism, and provide evidence for the applications of motor development in the early diagnosis of autism. Methods A 1 ∶ 1 matched case-control study was conducted between 2012 and 2014. A total of 396 children under 5 years old with autism were enrolled in this study, their counterparts were healthy children 3 month younger/ older and with the same gender and residence. Guardians of partici-pants were investigated using self-designed childhood psychological and behavioral development and related factors questionnaire. EpiData 3. 0 software was used to establish the data base and SAS 9. 4 software was used for data analysis. Results 396 pairs were enrolled in this study which including 342 pairs of boys (86. 3%) and 54 pairs of girls(13. 7%),the gender ratio was 6. 33 ∶ 1; The average month age of case group was (39. 44±11. 99) months and (39. 96±12. 24) months for the control group. There was no signifi-cant difference observed in the distribution of birth weight(χ2=3. 888,P=0. 140) and gestational age specif-ic birth weight(χ2=0. 462,P=0. 794)between two groups. But the distribution of gestational age was signifi-cantly different(χ2=9. 476,P=0. 009) . Children with autism have significant delaying in motor develop-ment compared with healthy children at same age, which including head lifting(3. 50(1. 00) month),rolling (6. 00(3. 50)month),sitting(8. 00(2. 50)month),etc. Preterm birth could have an effect on head lifting, rolling and sitting in children with autism, and also was the risk factor of delaying occurrence of head lifting (OR=2. 911,95%CI=1. 491-5. 681);Small for gestational age( SGA) was also a risk factor of delaying in walking(OR=1. 703,95%CI=1. 053-2. 754). Conclusion Evident delaying of motor development is ob-served among children with autism. Both preterm and SGA are risk factors for delayed motor development. Thus, early recognization of abnormities in motor development should raise awareness among caregivers and children care workers and assist in early diagnosis of children with autism.

Objective:
To explore the perception and evaluation of patients with somatic symptom disorder about their own diseases and treatment, and to provide theoretical basis for design of illness perception questionnaire for patients with somatic symptoms disorder.
Methods:
A semi-structured interview was conducted among 15 initial and untreated patients with somatic symptom disorder using the descriptive qualitative study. The data were sorted, encoded, classified, summarized and refined using MAXQDA10 software.
Results:
Three main themes and six sub-themes of illness perception in patients with somatic symptom disorder were analyzed and sorted out: (1) symptom recognition: including three sub-themes, low understanding of the disease and denial of somatic symptoms as mental illness; (2)drug taking concerns: including two sub-themes worrying about side effects of drugs, drug addiction and having difficulty to stick to the long-term regular medication; (3)emotional reaction: including the obvious negative emotions of depression and helplessness sub-theme.
Conclusion
Patients with somatic symptom disorder have a general bias in illness perception, which has a potential adverse effect on treatment compliance. Therefore, it is necessary for clinical medical staff to early estimate patients’illness perception, and carry out mental health education and rational emotional behavior therapy.

Objective:To explore whether brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) promoter methylation status is associated with panic disorder(PD), and then assess the effect of the BDNF gene methylation status on the severity of clinical symptoms in PD.Methods:The methylation levels of the BDNF gene were compared between 111 patients with PD and 130 matched healthy controls using MethylTarget approach. In addition, the panic disorder severity scale(PDSS), Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAM-A), and Hamilton depression rating scale(HAM-D) were respectively assessed to all subjects.Results:(1)The result showed that 7 CpG regions from the promoter regions of the BDNF gene were sequenced. However, there was no statistically significant differences between cases and controls in terms of BDNF DNA methylation status ( OR=1.087, 95% CI=0.849-1.391, P>0.05). (2)Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the hypermethylation of BDNF gene was significantly associated with the severity of the depressive symptoms in PD patients (all P<0.05). The methylation levels of BDNF gene was not significantly related to the severity of anxiety and panic in PD patients(all P>0.05). Conclusion:No association between BDNF promoter methylation status and panic disorder is found in Chinese Han population, but BDNF promoter methylation status may be related to the severity of depressive symptoms in patient with panic disorder.
