1.Progress in treatment of pediatric primary focal hyperhidrosis
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;39(3):292-294
Primary focal hyperhidrosis is a disorder of excessive sweating beyond physiological thermoregulation. It can affect the armpits, palms, soles, face, and so on.The etiology and pathogenesis is unclear. The latest study in pathogenesis is the secretory clear cell of the eccrine sweat gland.Apart from the use of antiperspirants and anticholinesterase drugs, other treatments include the injection of botulinum toxin A and surgery.
2.Animal models of cancer metastasis
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(6):412-415
Animal models using for research the cancer matestasis should be entirely similar to the clinical pathological process in patients.Currently, two kinds of animal models with genetic engineering and human tumor xenografts are available in laboratory, which provide a possible research tool to investigate the mechanism of tumor metastasis and explore the experimental treatment. In these models, the techniques including how to select the cell lines and using real-time imaging detection are very important factors.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
An examination was conducted with holographic stereopsis test instrument on the stereoscopic vision function of 341 military personnel in different services. 94.7 percent of the total examined enjoyed normal stereopsis acuity. The pilots obtained the far most satisfactory result. One hundred percent of them were up to normal standard in terms of both far and near visions and stereopsis acuity. Meanwhile, 94.6 percent of the vehicle drivers examined also had normal stereopsis acuity. This percentage was higher compared with 83.78 percent of the civilian personnel of the same occupation. The above results indicate that the stereopsis function of personnel in military services is in good condition, and such examination is very effective and necessary as part of the physical examinations in conscription to assure the standard of the service men.

In order to make a rational and effective cure measure for lung cancer, people need to establish suitable animal model.Spontaneous or induced model needs long time to form tumor and the rate is not steady.Xenograft mouse model is widely used in laboratories because of its steady tumor formation rate and less time in oncogenesis.Engineered mouse model which is based on genetic technology not only helps us to understand pathological process of lung cancer, but also can provide an ideal preclinical model of targeted therapy experiment, and it will be the important development direction of lung cancer animal model.

Chinese Journal of Medical Physics 2005;22(2):441-447
Registration of serial images plays an increasingly important role in medicine. A novel registration method used for serial images matching is proposed, which is based on the joint histogram. After thresholding the two images to be registered, the joint histogram is divided into four separate regions. Then the criterion function is defined as bin counting in a specific region of the joint histogram, which simplifies the computation of the criteria function greatly and speeds up the alignment process significantly. We choose the Powell optimization algorithm to calculate the registration parameters. The comparison of the results from both mutual information and our method shows that the new method based on segmentation and counting is a fast, simple, efficient and accurate registration method.

Objective To investigate the value of otolith-repositioning maneuver combined with medical treatment on benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in the elderly patients. Methods 176 elderly people who suffered from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo were randomly divided into observation group and control group (n=88,each).All patients were treated with basal medicine treatment and compulsive position for 21 days, and patients in the observation group were treated with otolith repositioning maneuver added on the basis. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups after treatment. Results The curative rate and effective rate were higher in observation group than in control group at 2,3 weeks after treatment [50.0% (44/88) vs.11.4% (10/88),70.5% (62/88) vs.47.7% (42/88),77.3% (68/88) vs.29.5% (26/88),93.2% (82/88) vs.86.4% (76/88),x2 =37.32,73.32,37.32,53.43,respectively,all P<0.05].Dizziness combined with nausea and vomiting, and walking instability were both found in the two groups, which had no statistical difference (x2 =3.25,P>0.05).Patients in observation group developed arrhythmia and Tumarkin otolith crisis after treatment. The transfer rate of surgery was lower in observation group than in control group (x2 =45.43,P<0.01).Conclusions Otolith-repositioning maneuver combined with medical treatment have good clinical effect and safety on benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in the elderly.

Objective To assess the effects of music intervention on physiological and psychological responses of patients with cancer. Methods A computerized search in China Biology Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang data ,VIP, Cochrane library, Web of Science and PubMed was performed for relevant randomized control trials comparing the effects of music intervention on physiological and psychological responses of patients with cancer. The quality of studies was critically appraised and data were extracted by two reviewers independently. The Cochrane-Handbook5.0 was used to evaluate the quality of studies. Data was analyzed by RevMan5.0 software. Results A total of 29 randomized control trials were involved. Eleven studies about the effects of music intervention on anxiety level of patients with cancer were assessed with Self-rating Anxiety Scale,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the anxiety level of patients with cancer (WMD=-11.74, 95%CI-11.94--8.53, P<0.01). Four studies about the effects of music intervention on anxiety level of patients with cancer were assessed with state-trait anxiety inventory,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the anxiety level of patients with cancer (WMD=-8.24, 95%CI-9.44--7.04, P<0.01). Meta-analysis showed that music intervention was able to relieve anxiety, depression, pain of patients with cancer. Two studies about the effects of music intervention on anxiety level of patients with cancer were assessed with Hamilton Anxiety Scale,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the anxiety level of patients with cancer (WMD=-3.37, 95%CI-4.93--1.82, P<0.01). Fourteen studies about the effects of music intervention on depression level of patients with cancer were assessed with Self-rating Depression Scale,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the depression level of patients with cancer (WMD=-8.12, 95%CI-10.75--5.49, P<0.01). Three studies about the effects of music intervention on depression level of patients with cancer were assessed with Hamilton Depression Scale,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the depression level of patients with cancer (WMD=-3.27, 95%CI-6.34--0.21, P=0.04). A total of 9 studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of music intervention on patients with the pain Visual Analogue Scale,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could effectively reduce the pain level of patients with cancer (WMD=-0.83, 95%CI-1.23--0.44, P<0.01).A total of 6 studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of music intervention on heart rate in cancer patients,Meta analysis confirmed that music intervention could stabilize the heart rate of patients (WMD=-3.38, 95%CI-5.13--1.62, P=0.002).A total of 6 studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of music intervention on systolic blood pressure in patients with cancer, the results of Meta analysis showed that music intervention could stabilize the systolic pressure in patients (WMD=-5.34, 95%CI-7.95--2.73, P<0.01). Conclusions Music intervention has effects on reducing potentially harmful psychological responses of patients with cancer, which deserve to be explored and spread in clinical practice.
