Objective To establish a method for determination of tellurium(Ti)in the air of workplace by microwave digestion-HG-AFS. Methods The air samples were collected by micropore filters and the concentration of tellurium was determined by microwave digestion-HG-AFS. Results In this method, the linear range was 0.11-40.0 ?g/L, the detection limit was 0.11 ?g/L, the lowest detected concentration of tellurium was 0.000 09 mg/m3(based on 30 L air sample), the rate of recovery was in the range of 95.5%-98.2%, the RSD was less than 3%. Conclusion The method is rapid, accurate, sensitive and suitable for the determination of tellurium in the air of workplace.

Objective We have monitored the set up errors of radiotherapy for thoracic cancer using ontime imaging system. The discrepancy of couch top between treatment machine (net bracket) and simulator (plate) was observed. Set up errors were analyzed quantitively according to variable distribution, ratio and extent of displacement. Methods Three hundred eighty nine orthogonal portal images of 30 patients were compared to the simulation films. Set up deviation in lateral, longitudinal and vertical direction were measured respectively. The systematic and random errors were evaluated. Results The distribution of set up errors in each direction approximated a normal distribution. The systematic error in lateral and longitudinal was lower with a mean of 1~2 mm, and however, it was 6.8 mm in vertical direction without immobilization device as compared to 1.5 mm with immobilization device. The random error was larger and ratio of vertical displacement was higher without immobilization. Conclusions The decline of treatment couch top (with net bracket) could result in a larger systematic error with a mean of 6.8 mm. We must pay attention to the coordination of couch top between treatment machine and simulator when radiation field is set. The use of immobilization device during thoracic radiotherapy is able to improve the geometrical quality.

The standard research platform construction is one of the business construction tasks in the national Chinese medicine clinical research base. The base of HuBei province focused on tasks of base construction, clinical scientific research of key disease study to present the idea and method of standard research platform construction in order to complete the construction task .

This cross-sectional study examined cigarette smoking knowledge, attitudes, and practices among medical students in a southwestern region of China. The subjects included 557 and 223 first and fourth year Chinese medical students, respectively. Comparison data were collected from 74 Japanese and 90 Vietnamese fourth year medical students. The smoking rate among the fourth year medical students in China (7.0%) was significantly higher than among the first year medical students (2.8%), and higher than among the medical students from Vietnam, but lower than the medical students from Japan. The fourth year Chinese students had a more permissive attitude toward cigarette smoking by physicians compared with the first year students, and the lowest knowledge base on cigarette smoking-related diseases among the students from all three countries. Based on a multivariate analysis, the factors associated with cigarette smoking were male gender, having friends who smoked, and exhibiting a permissive attitude toward smoking. Implementations aimed at improving tobacco education and addressing the gender differences and peer influences related to cigarette smoking are needed to improve Chinese medical students’ knowledge and attitudes about cigarette smoking, and to prevent students from starting to smoke cigarettes.

In order to better construct important diseases of traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) clinical re-search base , and strengthen the construction of medical and clinical research of TCM information sharing sys-tem, Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has constructed research type clinic. The con-struction idea of research type clinic is the mode of real world TCM clinical research . The construction of research type clinic mode was from three aspects, which were the clinical research, health management and distinctive diagnosis and treatment .

Objective:To detect the expression levels of various immune cells in peripheral blood, and to ex-plore their relationship with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion(URSA)and its clinical significance in di-agnosis and treatment. Methods:A total of 351 patients with URSA who visited Hebei Reproductive Health Hospi-tal between January 2020 and September 2022 were enrolled as the URSA group, while a control group compri-sing 30 healthy women who had experienced uncomplicated term delivery once and had no history of adverse pregnancy outcomes during the same period was selected. The levels of various immune cell subsets in peripheral blood during the luteal phase were measured and compared between the two groups.Receiver operating charac-teristic(ROC)curve analysis was performed to determine the optimal cutoff values of immune cell levels that could assist in URSA diagnosis and treatment, while logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors influ-encing URSA occurrence. Results:The number and percentage of CD3+CD8+cells in the peripheral blood of the URSA group were significantly lower compared to those in the control group(P<0.05).Conversely,the per-centage of NK cells was significantly higher in the URSA group than in the control group(P<0.05).Logistic re-gression analysis revealed that the increase in CD3+CD8+cell count in peripheral blood during the luteal phase was a protective factor of URSA(OR<1,P<0.05).ROC curve analysis determined optimal cutoff values for im-mune cell levels to assist in the diagnosing and treating URSA:702.82 cells/μl for CD3+CD8+cell count,28.39%for CD3+CD8+cell percentage, and 12.33%for NK cell percentage. After using the optimal cutoff value to convert continuous variables into binary variables,Logistic regression analysis showed that a CD3+CD8+cell count<702.82 cells/μl and an NK cell percentage>12.33%were independent risk factors for URSA(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:The decrease of CD3+CD8+cells in peripheral blood during midluteal phase is closely related to the occurrence of URSA.The number of CD3+CD8+cells(702.82 cells/μl)and the percentage of NK cells(12.33%)can be used as reference values for the diagnosis and treatment of URSA.
