The urine formed elements staining is of importance for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of urine system diseases. In this article, we describe several kinds of improved staining techniques, such as cytochemistry staining, fluorescent staining and textile dye staining. The prospect of urine formed elements staining technology is also described.

Objective To explore the risk factors of children with cerebral palsy during pregnancy and neonatal period in Xinxiang area.Methods A retrospective analysis of the relevant research data of cerebral palsy children in Xinxiang area was performed.The research objects were children with cerebral palsy born from May 1,2005 to April 30,2010.At the same time,3 healthy children were selected as the control group to analyze the related risk factors causing cerebral palsy in children.Results The risk factors of children with cerebral palsy in Xinxiang city were as follows : maternal nutritional status, vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, and abnormal production history were associated with cerebral palsy (x2 =2.313,13.296,5.034,7.434, all P ＜ 0.05)during the perinatal period;related factors during neonatal period were premature birth,severe asphyxia, severe jaundice, and intracranial infection(x2 =4.637,29.50,4.633,5.107, all P ＜ 0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed the history of severe asphyxia (OR =2.340,95 ％ CI: 1.250-4.440), severe jaundice (OR =4.110, 95％ CI:2.430-6.740) ,premature birth(OR =2.570,95％ CI: 1.410-4.770) ,pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome (OR =2.350,95 ％ CI:I.020-5.440), vaginal bleeding during pregnancy (OR =73.600,95 ％ C1:3.060-17.750) and abnormal production history(OR =5.710,95％ CI: 1.250-26.310) were independent risk factors causing children with cerebral palsy.Conclusions The history of severe asphyxia, severe jaundice, premature birth, pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, vaginal bleeding during pregnancy and congenital dysplasia are independent risk factors of children with cerebral palsy in Xinxiang area.It should be strengthened to screen and standardize the management of high-risk newborn infants with cerebral palsy, and do well management for perinatal high-risk pregnant women management.Early prevention can help to reduce the incidences of cerebral palsy in local area.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Zexie Decoction in treatment of elderly patients with grade 1 of essential hypertension (extremely high risk) differentiated as syndrome of excessive phlegm and dampness. Methods From May 2021 to April 2023, 103 elderly patients with grade 1 of essential hypertension (extremely high risk) in the Department of Geriatric Diseases in the authors' hospital were selected as research objects, and they were randomly divided into control group (n=51) and study group (n=52). The control group received lifestyle interventions, while the study group was treated with modified Zexie Decoction on the basis of the control group. After two weeks of treatment, the clinical efficacy, the score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, blood pressure, blood lipid level, and maximum intima-media thickness of the carotid artery (d_IMTmax) were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the study group was 90.38 %, which was significantly higher than 56.86 % in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of primary and secondary symptoms in both groups decreased significantly when compared to those before treatment, and the scores of primary and secondary symptoms in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the systolic and diastolic blood pressures in both groups decreased significantly when compared to those before treatment, and the systolic and diastolic blood pressures in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol decreased significantly in both groups, while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level increased significantly, and the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group, but the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the d_IMTmax in the treatment group was (0.92±0.12) mm, which was significantly less than (1.10±0.15) mm in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Modified Zexie Decoction can effectively improve clinical symptoms in elderly patients with essential hypertension, regulate blood pressure and lipid levels, alleviate vascular endothelial injury, and reduce the carotid intima-media thickness.

Objective To observe Rongxin Pills in the treatment of viral myocarditis in children (deficiency of both qi and yin and heart meridian stasis syndrome) and the effectiveness and clinical application of safety.Methods Viral myocarditis patients (280 cases,deficiency of both qi and yin and heart meridian stasis syndrome),according to 3:1 ratio as the test group (n =21 0) and control group (n =70).The test group took orally Rongxin pills each time 4.5～9 g,3 times daily;the control group oral coenzyme Q10 capsule each time 10 ～ 20 mg,twice daily.The course of treatment was 28 d.The experiment was carried out with the random and double blind method.The symptoms of myocarditis,integrated and electrocardiogram,echocardiography,myocardial enzymes,as well as the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and improvement of the effect of the disease were observed.Results The results of FAS (PPS) analysis showed that 28 d after treatment,the symptom score and mean of experimental group and control group were 5.975 (6.000) and 4.721 (4.788).The syndromes of the total effective rates were 91.62％ (90.59％) and 70.59％ (71.21％),curative effect the total effective rates were 90.14％ (92.08％) and 72.06％ (72.73％).The total effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant.In this experiment,three cases of clinical adverse events were reported,which were not related to the experimental drug.It also not belongs to adverse drug reactions.Conclusion Rongxin Pill in the treatment of viral myocarditis in children (deficiency of both qi and yin and heart meridian stasis syndrome) is more effective than coenzyme Q 10 capsule,and there was no indication of higher risk of clinical application.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinicopathologic features and immunohistochemical of the basal-like subtype of invasive breast carcinoma (BLBC), and to discuss the diagnosis standard.

METHODSImmunohistochemistry was performed in 448 cases of breast carcinoma and these cases were categorized into luminal A, luminal B, null subtypes, HER2-overexpressing and basal-like and their clinicopathologic features were observed under light microscope with stains of HE and immunohistochemical InVitrogen staining.

RESULTSAmong the breast cancer patients, the incidence of BLBC was 15.4% (69/448). Morphologic features significantly associated with BLBC constituently included nest structure and showing diffuse growth pattern, large scarring areas without cells in tumor, geographic necrosis, pushing margin of invasion, lymphocytic infiltrate in various degree in tumor stroma, syncytial tumor cell without clear boundaries, tumor cell showing vesicular unclear chromatin and nucleolus, markedly elevated mitotic count, metaplasia (all P < 0.01). Meanwhile, most BLBC showed strong immunoreactivity for CK5/6, CK14, CK17 (all P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONBLBC showed distinct morphologic and immunophenotypic features.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the accuracy, consistency and related affecting factors in pathological results of breast lesions diagnosed by ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy (CNB) and conventional excision histopathology.

METHODSThe clinical data of 177 consecutive cases of breast lesions examined by ultrasound-guided CNB and subsequently excised were reviewed from Jan. 2003 to Nov. 2009. The agreement of pathological diagnosis between the CNB and subsequent excision pathology was analyzed.

RESULTSThere were 136 cancers in the final diagnosis after surgical excision among 386 breast lesions and 129 of them were diagnosed by CNB. The sensitivity (true positive) of CNB was 94.9%, false negative rate was 5.1%, specificity (true negative) was 100%, false positive rate 0, Youden's index was 0.949, and positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 100% and 85.4%, respectively. Condensation rate was 96.0% and Kappa value was 0.895.

CONCLUSIONUltrasound-guided CNB with histopathological assessment is accurate in diagnosis of breast lesions and has a great consistency with conventional excision pathology. It is a reliable method for the diagnosis of breast lesions to avoid an over-reliance on excision pathological examination.

Objective:The pain-relieving effect and safety of compound aminopyrine phenacetin tab-lets,tramcontin(tramadol hydrochloride sustained-release tablets)and dolantin in the early stage of au-tologous tendon reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)of the knee joint were compared.Methods:Retrospective analysis of postoperative pain and drug analgesia in 45 patients performed by the same group from November 2018 to February 2019.The random area group design was divided into two groups according to whether ACL rupture was combined with meniscal injury,group A was 24 patients with ACL reconstruction of knee joint and group B was 21 patients with ACL fracture combined with me-niscus injury.The two groups were divided into three subgroups respectively according to the actual treat-ment of postoperative analgesic drugs received by the patients,including 4 cases of compound aminopy-rine phenacetin tablets,11 cases of oral tramcontin,9 cases of intramuscular dolantin combined with phenergan in group A;3 cases of compound aminopyrine phenacetin tablets,10 cases of oral tramcontin,and 8 cases of intramuscular dolantin combined with phenergan in group B.When the early postoperative patients complain about pain and actively ask for analgesia.When the patients complained about pain af-ter the operation and actively asked for analgesia,they were randomly given painkillers,tramcontin or do-lantin combined with phenergan to relieve pain.Pain visual analogue scale(VAS)was used to evaluate pain relief and observe the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results:There were no significant dif-ferences in gender,age,body mass index,and time of hospital stay between the two groups of patients(P＞0.05).In the patients who used tramcontin and dolantin combined with phenergan to relieve pain judging by VAS score before and 1 h after taking the drug,it was found that the pain situation of the pa-tient was significantly relieved,and the difference before and after taking the drug had statistical signifi-cance(P＜0.05).Pairwise comparisons of the three drugs applied in the two groups showed significantly greater pain relief in the dolantin combined with phenergan group than in the remaining two drugs.There was no significant difference(P＞0.05).Dolantin was prone to nausea and vomiting,but the application of phenergan was also used to reduce side effects.In terms of adverse reactions,only 1 case of nausea oc-curred in the tramcontin group for simple ACL reconstruction,and none of the patients in the other groups showed serious complications and allergic reactions.Conclusion:Whether in cruciate ligament recon-struction alone or combined with meniscus molding or suture,compound aminopyrine phenacetin tablets,tramcontin,dolantin combined with phenergan can effectively relieve pain.Among the three drugs,do-lantin caused the largest pain relief.At the same time,the combination of phenergan effectively reduced the adverse reactions,such as vomiting and nausea,and increased the drug safety.

Licorice is a traditional Chinese medicine commonly used in clinic. The products,what contain licorice or licorice extract, has early been involved in the field of cosmetics except for the field of pharmaceuticals and food. Consequently, the reporting on adverse reactions induced by licorice preparations are more frequent. Based on the clinical data of licorice preparations adverse reactions, we described the characteristics of the licorice-related adverse reactions, and proposed specific measures to reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, provided a reference for the rational use of licorice preparations.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of zoledronate (ZOL) on osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption under high glucose, and the regulation mechanism of p38 mitogen activated kinase (p38 MAPK) signaling pathway in this process. METHODS: RAW264.7 cells were divided into four groups: low group, high group, low+ZOL group and high+ZOL group after induced into osteoclasts. Cell proliferation activity was determined by MTT assay. The migration of RAW264.7 cells were examined Optical microscopy. Immunofluorescence microscopy was used to observe the cytoskeleton and sealing zones of osteoclasts. After adding group 5: high + ZOL + SB203580 group, trap staining was used to identify the number of positive osteoclasts in each group. The number and area of resorption lacunae were observed by SEM. The mRNA and protein expression of osteoclast related factors were detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting. RESULTS: The cells in the 5 groups showed similar proliferative activity. High glucose promoted the migration of RAW264.7 cells ( CONCLUSIONS High glucose inhibits osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption. ZOL inhibits osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption in high-glucose conditions by regulating p38 MAPK pathway, which can be a new pathway for ZOL to regulate diabetic osteoporosis.
