OBJECTIVETo evaluate preliminarily the efficacy on functional constipation treated with electroacupuncture of different acupoint prescriptions.
METHODSOne hundred and four patients were randomized into a front-mu and back-shu points group (19 cases), a he-sea points group (34 cases), a he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group (26 cases) and a western medication control group (25 cases). In the front-mu and back-shu points group, electroacupuncture was applied at bilateral Tianshu (ST 25) and Dachangshu (BL 25). In the he-sea points group, electroacupuncture was applied at bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37). In the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group, electroacupuncture was applied at unilateral Tianshu (ST 25), Dachangshu (BL 25), Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37). In the three groups above, the treatment was given 5 times a week in the first two weeks and 3 times a week in the next two weeks. In the western medication control group, mosapride citrate tablets were prescribed for oral administration, 1 table (5 mg) each time, 3 times a day, continuously for 4 weeks. The period of research was 9 weeks, including 1 week for baseline evaluation, 4 weeks for treatment and 4 weeks for follow-up. The weekly defecation frequency was taken as primary index, while the defecation difficulty and life quality score were taken as the secondary indices for the efficacy evaluation after treatment and in follow-up.
RESULTSAccording to the intention-to-treat (ITT) analytic principle, 104 cases were all enrolled in the final analysis. (1) After treatment, the weekly frequency of defecation was all increased significantly in the four groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The efficacy of the three electroacupuncture groups was similar to that of western medication control group (P > 0.05). In follow-up, the increasing effect on the weekly frequency of defecation was maintained in the he-sea points group (P < 0.01), superior to the front-mu and back-shu points group and the western medication control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01); the weekly frequency of defecation was not improved in the rest three groups (P > 0.05). (2) After treatment, defecation difficulty was relieved in the he-sea points group, the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group and the western medication control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). In follow-up, the improvements were still significant in the he-sea points group and the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group (both P < 0.01). (3) After treatment, the life quality score was significantly improved in the patients of the he-sea points group (P < 0.05). The difference was not significant in the rest three groups as compared with that before treatment (all P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe weekly frequency of defecation is increased effectively after treatment in the three electroacupuncture groups and the efficacy is similar to mosapride citrate tablets. The bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37) in he-sea acupoints increase significantly the weekly frequency of defecation, relieve defecation difficulty and improve life quality. Acupuncture efficacy is sustained for 4 weeks. This acupoints prescription is the best in the treatment of functional constipation.

Objective To evaluate the value of stereotactic core needle biopsy(SCNB)in diagnosis of breast lesions. Methods Forty-seven cases were punctured with computer-assisted stereotactic system, spring-loaded biopsy guns and 16 G core needles. The record of each item was collected, including clinical manifestations, descriptions of the mammographic characteristics(such as calcification, mass and architectural distortion),the pathology of the SCNB and the surgical pathology or mammographic follow-up data. Then the results of SCNB were analyzed based on the comparison of SCNB pathology and the surgical pathology. The reason that SCNB failed and misdioagnosed was inferred from the relationship of SCNB accuracy and the X-ray characteristics. Results Forty-four cases were punctured successfully,3 cases failed.Thirty-one patients were operated soon after biopsy. The results of 27 SCNB cases agreed well with the final pathology but the other 4 did not. Conclusions SCNB as an accurate,time-saving and cost- effective method,is also minimally invasive and hardly changes the architecture of the breast.SCNB can diagnose breast lesions in advance, reduces the number of surgical biopsy, and is promising in clinical application.

OBJECTIVELeukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1 (LAD-I) is rare. We present 1 case of LAD-I patient diagnosed by gene analysis. His clinical manifestations and genetic mutation features are analyzed in this article.
METHODThe clinical material of the LAD-I patient who was diagnosed by gene analysis was retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTThe patient was a 2-month-old boy. He had a complaint of recurrent fever and cough for 30 days. Pulmonary CT indicated a small to moderate quantity pleural effusion on the right side. His peripheral blood leukocyte and C-reactive protein (CRP) was always significantly higher than normal. After hospitalization he had diarrheal diseases, routine stool test showed 2 RBC cells/high power (HP), WBC 30 cells/HP, stool cultures were negative, digestive tract ultrasonography showed an array of defects, in the sigmoid colon and rectal mucosa suggestive of ulcerative colitis. He was treated with cefoperazone and sulbactam and vancomycin. He had a history of impetigo in his neonatal period and without delayed umbilical cord exfoliation. His family history was normal. ITGB2 genetic mutation analysis revealed a homozygous mutation (1062A > T). His parents did not participate in this study. He had no fever but had diarrheal disease after 1 month of follow up.
CONCLUSIONThis patient had suffered from impetigo, pleural effusion, diarrheal diseases, markedly increased peripheral white blood cell and ITGB2 genetic mutation analysis showed that homozygous mutation (1062A > T). He received a diagnosis of LAD-I.

Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2010;48(3):208-211
OBJECTIVETo improve the recognition and diagnosis of abdominal tuberculosis (TB) in children.
METHODThe data from 30 cases with abdominal TB hospitalized in Beijing Children's Hospital were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical significance of various tests was discussed respectively.
RESULTTwenty of the 30 cases were misdiagnosed as having upper respiratory tract infection, gastroenteritis, indigestion, and only 6 cases were diagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis while the diagnosis of abdominal TB was made in just 4 cases at initial consultation. Twenty-one cases (70%) experienced the symptoms of abdominal pain or distension, diarrhoea, or constipation. The positive abdominal signs existed in all children including doughy sensation (9 cases), tenderness (8 cases), mass (4 cases), and hepatosplenomegaly (3 cases). Extraabdominal TB was found in 24 children, the positive PPD and abnormal ultrasonic image were seen in 93% and 100% of the cases, respectively. The exploratory laparotomy and colonoscopic biopsy confirmed the diagnosis in 3 and 2 cases, respectively. Twenty-four children received systematic treatment with good results.
CONCLUSIONThe abdominal TB in children which is easily misdiagnosed in it's early stage usually consisted of gastrointestinal symptoms and signs. The TB beyond the abdomen can be a clue for making correct diagnosis. PPD and ventral ultrasonic examination are important for ultimate clinical diagnosis while colonoscopy, and laparotomy can provide pathological evidence.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2009;29(10):841-843
The founding of clinical syndrome differentiation treatment system for acu-moxibustion is an important issue for the development of clinical acupuncture practices, and it has attracted extensive attention in the domestic and overseas circles in acu-moxibustion field. At present, the syndrome differentiation treatment system of internal medicine of TCM is literally carried out in clinical acu-moxibustion practices, syndrome differentiation according to zang-fu is used instead of syndrome differentiation according to meridian, hence, it is difficult to reflect the features and advantages of acupuncture and moxibustion. Although the goals of acu-moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicine treatments are consistent, but the methods and approaches of the treatment are different. Therefore, the syndrome differentiation treatment system are not in concordance. Acu-moxibustion has gradually established unique thinking model of treatment based syndrome differentiation including principle, methods, prescription, points and technique which are different from principle, methods, prescription and drugs of internal medicine of TCM.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Relative Bedrest Condition Morita Therapy(RBCMT) on the improvement of depression and anxiety symptoms and personality in patients with recurrent depression disorder. Methods:Seventy patients with recurrent depressive disorder hospitalized in Kailuan Mental Health Center were randomly divided into study group and control group( n=35 in each group) from June to October, 2019.The study group was given RBCMT on the basis of conventional treatment and nursing. The Eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ), Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) were used to assess the clinical symptoms and personality characteristics of the patients and to analyze and compare them. Results:(1) EPQ score in each dimension: There were significant differences within group among different time in introverted and extroverted dimension (study group: baseline: 46.14±10.99, the fifth weekend: 50.43±8.86, the eighth weekend: 53.86±7.08, F=6.291, P=0.003.Control group: baseline: 45.29±8.99, the fifth weekend: 48.29±8.31, the eighth weekend: 50.29±7.57, F=3.211, P=0.044) and neuroticism dimension score (study group: baseline: 60.14±5.49, the fifth weekend: 53.29±4.53, the eighth weekend: 50.57±4.33, F=36.809, P<0.001.Control group: baseline: 60.29±6.18, the fifth weekend: 55.86±6.00, the eighth weekend: 53.14±5.30, F=13.353, P<0.001) among different time points in the group.Neuroticism scores between the two groups at the same time were statistically significant(the fifth weekend: F=4.095, P=0.047, the eighth weekend: F=4.940, P=0.030). After 8 weeks of inclusion, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the score of introverted and extroverted dimension ( F=4.157, P=0.045). There was no significant difference in the score of spiritual quality dimension at different time within the group or at the same time point between the groups.(2)HAMD score: There were statistically significant differences within group among different time(study group: baseline: 32.00±4.04, the fifth weekend: 15.23±5.01, the eighth weekend: 9.31±3.15, F=282.376, P<0.001.Control group: baseline: 31.91±4.59, the fifth weekend: 17.86±5.11, the eighth weekend: 11.17±3.64, F=195.019, P<0.001), and the differences between the two groups at the same time were statistically significant (the fifth weekend: F=4.724, P=0.033, the eighth weekend: F=5.205, P=0.026). (3)HAMA score: There were statistically significant differences within group among different time(study group: baseline: 18.69±8.87, the fifth weekend: 10.34±5.34, the eighth weekend: 7.97±2.98, F=28.679, P<0.001.Control group: baseline: 18.60±8.02, the fifth weekend: 13.31±6.35, the eighth weekend: 10.37±4.86, F=14.241, P<0.001). The difference between the two groups at the same time point was statistically significant (the fifth weekend: F=4.161, P=0.045, the eighth weekend: F=8.315, P=005). (4)Multiple linear regression results indicated that RBCMT ( β=-0.312, t=-2.360, P=0.022) and introverted and extroverted dimension personality ( β=-0.334, t=-2.355, P=0.022) were the influencing factors of HAMA. Conclusion:Compared with the conventional treatment, the Relative Bedrest Condition Morita Therapy can reduce the anxiety symptoms and improve the depressive symptoms by enhancing the extraversion personality characteristics of the patients.

OBJECTIVETo determine risk factors of invasive fungal infections (IFI) in patients admitted to non-hematological oncology department and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), in order to improve diagnostic level of invasive fungal infections.
METHODWe retrospectively assessed 85 hospitalized pediatric patients with invasive fungal infections in Beijing Children's Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from Jan.2007 to Nov.2012. All the cases were either from non-hematological oncology department or the PICU.We reviewed risk factors of invasive fungal infections.
RESULTAmong 85 patients, 42 had invasive candida infection, 20 invasive aspergillus infection, 21 cryptococcus infection, 1 Histoplasma capsulatum infection and 1 Mucor mucedo infection. In the 42 patients with invasive candida infection, 5 were young infants, 3 had combined immunodeficiency, 1 cellular immunodeficiency, 25 secondary infection due to long term use of corticosteroids and/or combined use of more than 2 kinds of antibiotics with primary disease, 5 prior intestinal tract surgery or chronic diarrheal disease, 1 reflux gastritis. In the 20 patients with invasive aspergillosis infection, 10 patients had chronic granulomatous disease, 5 long term use of corticosteroids ≥ 1 month, 3 long term use of corticosteroids and combined use of more than 2 kinds of antibiotics, 2 had no apparent host factors. In the 21 patients with cryptococcus infection, 2 patients had used corticosteroids ≥ 1 month, 2 had immunodeficiency mainly for lack of antibodies, while others had no apparent host factors. The child with Mucor mucedo infection had diabetes mellitus. And the one with Histoplasma capsulatum infection had immunodeficiency.
CONCLUSIONHigh risk factors for IFI in patients admitted to non-hematological oncology department and PICU are primary immunodeficiency disease and long term use of corticosteroids and/or long term combined use of more than 2 kinds of antibiotics. Besides, young infant is also a high risk factor for invasive candida infection. Most of the cryptococcus infections and certain aspergillosis had no obvious host factors.
