Objective To investigate the vascular effect of hydroxyl-safflor yellow A(HSYA) on rat thoracic aorta and its underlying mechanism. Methods The tension of isolated thoracic aorta rings of rats perfused with different concentrations of HSYA(1?10-6-1?10-4 mol/L) was measured using organ bath technique. The effects of HSYA on the vasocontraction induced by cumulative phenylephrine(PE)(1?10-6-1?10-4 mol/L),KCl(6?10-2 mol/L) and CaCl2(1?10-5-3?10-3 mol/L) were recorded respectively. Results HSYAcaused a concentration-dependent anti-contraction effects by KCl or PE in endothelium-intact and endothelium-denuded aortic rings.HSYA inhibited the CaCl2-induced contraction and downward shifted concentration-response curve of aortic rings.HSYA+HP resulted in more significant anti-contraction effect than single use of HSYA(P0.05).There were significant differences in anti-contraction effect between HSYA+RR and RR or HSYA(P

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical effects of locking plates in the treatment of intertrochanteric hip fractures.
METHODSFrom February 2006 to December 2008,108 patients with intertrochanteric hip fractures treated with locking plate and DHS were retrospective analyzed. Fifty-one patients were treated with locking plates, including 23 males and 28 females, aged 45 to 86 years old (averaged 66.0 years old); and fifty-seven patients were treated with DHS, including 26 males and 31 females, aged 43 to 81 years old (averaged 64.1 years old). The outcome measures collected for statistical analysis on the following aspects: operative time, blood loss, drainage, healing time, complications and Harris scores.
RESULTSOne hundred and eight patients were followed up ranging from 8 to 24 months (averaged 12.5 months). In locking plate group, the operative time was (87 +/- 14) minutes; blood loss was (367 +/- 213) ml; drainage was (63 +/- 14) ml; healing time was (11.9 +/- 3.4) weeks; 7 patients had complications; and the Harriss score was (85 +/- 6). While in DHS group, the operative time was (115 +/- 23) minutes; blood loss was (582 +/- 243) ml; drainage was (98 +/- 16) ml; healing time was (12.4 +/- 2.5) weeks; 9 patients had complications; and the Harriss score was (84 +/- 8). There were no significant differences in the healing time, complications and Harris scores between two groups (P > 0.05),but there were significant differences in the operative time, blood loss, drainage between two groups (P < 0.05). Comparing with DHS group, the locking plate group was of shorter operative time, fewer blood loss and drainage.
CONCLUSIONProximal femoral locking plate is simple, minimally invasive, stable fixation with fewer complications, and is an effective method for intertrochanteric hip fractures.

OBJECTIVETo probe into a better therapeutic method for functional constipation.
METHODSNinety-five cases of functional constipation were randomly divided into deep puncture at ST 25 group (48 cases), shallow puncture at ST 25 group (24 cases) and medication group (23 cases). In deep puncture at ST 25 group, Tianshu (ST 25) was punctured deeply to the peritoneum, with electric stimulation. In shallow puncture at ST 25 group, Tianshu (ST 25) was punctured shallowly, 5 mm beneath the skin, with electric stimulation. In medication group, Duphalac was administered orally. These cases were treated continuously for 4 weeks in 3 groups and followed up for 6 months. It was to observe the numbers of person who had defecation 4 times a week, difference in weekly defecation frequency and the difference in the Cleveland Clinic Score (CCS).
RESULTSIn deep puncture at ST 25 group, the frequency of weekly defecation and the numbers of person who had defecation 4 times a week increased and CCS decreased, which were similar to the efficacy in shallow puncture at ST 25 group (all P > 0.05). But the efficacy of both ST 25 groups was superior to that in medication group (both P < 0.05). In comparison, the deep puncture at ST 25 group acted more quickly than either shallow puncture at ST 25 group or medication group and its efficacy remained much longer.
CONCLUSIONThe deep puncture at ST 25 with electric stimulation presents similar efficacy on functional constipation as shallow puncture at ST 25, but it acts more quickly than shallow puncture at ST 25, both of them are more advantageous than medication and the long-term efficacy is better.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of EGFR,ALK and ROS1 mutations in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in South of China and its relationship with clinical features. Methods The tumor tissues and corresponding clinical data of 76 NSCLC patients in South of China from November 2016 to June 2017 were collected. The mutations of EGFR,ALK and ROS1 were detected by ARMS assay with Joint detection kit.Meanwhile, the correlation between gene mutation rate and clinical features was analyzed. Results The mutation rate of EGFR was 67.3% (42/76) in 76 patients with NSCLC in South of China,19 del and L858R mutations were the main mutation types. There was a co-mutation including 19 del and L858R.The positive rate of ALK gene fusion was 17.1% (13/76),and 4 cases of ALK gene fusion combined with EGFR mutation were detected. The positive rate of ROS1 gene fusion was 1.3% (1/76),and there was no co-mutation with other genes.Compared with ROS1,EGFR and ALK mutation rate was higher, the difference was statistically significant (x2 =54.515,P =0.000;x2 =11.329,P =0.001).The mutation rate of EGFR in non-smoking NSCLC patients was significantly higher than that in smokers (x2 =4.578,P=0.032),while the mutation rate of ALK and ROS1 was not statistically significant (x2=0.000,P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in EGFR,ALK and ROS1 gene mutation rates among NSCLC patients of different age,sex and histology (x2 =0.000 ~ 2.219,P> 0.05).Conclusion EGFR,ALK and ROS1 gene mutations can be seen in patients with NSCLC in South China,in which EGFR and ALK gene mutation rate is higher.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the splice variants of the calpain 3 gene existing in human skeletal muscle tissue and white blood cells, and to explore the feasibility of gene diagnosis using CAPN3 mRNA extracted from peripheral leukocytes.
METHODSTotal RNA was extracted from peripheral blood and skeletal muscle tissue in healthy individuals. CAPN3 cDNAs were determined by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and DNA sequencing. CAPN3 cDNAs from peripheral leukocytes were compared with sequences obtained from skeletal muscle tissue.
RESULTSRT-PCR and DNA sequencing showed that the CAPN3 cDNAs comprised 24 exons in human skeletal muscle tissue, while the number of exons was 23 in white blood cells. Exon 15 was spliced out in human white blood cells.
CONCLUSIONSplice variants exist in human skeletal muscle tissue and white blood cells. Gene diagnosis may omit the mutations of exon 15 using mRNA extracted from peripheral leukocytes. These findings suggest that mutation analysis of the CAPN3 cDNA should use skeletal muscle tissue as materials instead of peripheral blood.
