OBJECTIVE: To study the protective effect of 3-acetyl- 4-acetoxy-2-benzoxazolone on liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in mice. METHODS: The serum activities of ALT and AST and the levels of MDA, SOD and GSH in liver tissue were measured in the model of acute liver injury induced by intraperitoneal injection 0.15% CCl4 and hepatic histological changes were observed by optical microscope. RESULTS: Compared with control group, the serum ALT, AST and the liver tissue MDA activities were significantly lowered, the levels of SOD and GSH in liver tissue were increased obviously. Histological results showed that 3-acetyl- 4-acetoxy-2-benzoxazolone could ameliorate histological damages induced by CCl4 in mice. CONCLUSION: 3-Acetyl-4-acetoxy-2-benzoxazolone exhibits protective effects on experimental hepatic injury.

This article discussed the necessity and research significance of TCM literature digitization from the aspects of features of TCM literature and connotation and advantages of literature digitization. It introduced the research background of TCM literature digitization by using the examples of domestic and foreign digital libraries and digitized periodicals, expounded the research status of TCM modern and ancient literature digitization, elaborated the research condition of TCM ancient literature digitization, and analyzed the existing problems and provided suggestions.

Objective To establish rat model of small intestinal damage by administrating low dose of diclofenac in short-term and to observe the preventive effect on non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) induced small intestinal damage by metronidazole and rabeprazole.Methods Sixty-four rats were randomly divided into control,model,metronidazole and rabeprazole groups with 16 each.The rats in four groups were then further separated into acute stage (T1) and subacute stage (T2) groups.The rats were lavaged with metronidazole (50 mg/kg) and rabeprazole (15 mg/kg) before modeling.The rats in control,model,metronidazole and rabeprazole groups were lavaged with 1ml of distilled water, 7.5 mg/kg diclofenac,50 mg/kg of metronidazole plus 7.5mg/kg of diclofenac,15 mg/kg of rabeprazole plus 7.5mg/kg of diclofenac twice a day,respectively.The rats in T1 group were sacrificed on day 1 and T2 group on day 5.Results Administration of diclofenac induced multiple lesions in the small intestine, such as obviously erythema,erosion,ulcer and cystoid expansion.The lesions in T2 of model group was more seriously than that in T1 group(P＜0.05).And the lesions in model group was also more seriously than that in metronidazole and rabeprazole groups (both T1 and T2 groups,P < 0.05).Serum concentration of NO in T1 of model group was obviously lower than that in control group (P＜0.05),but it was higher in T2 of model group compare to the control group (P＜0.05).There were no significant difference among metronidazole,rabeprazole and model groups in serum level of NO (P>0.05). Conclusions The lesions of small intestinal can be induced by administration of diclofenac.The serum level of NO presents a tendency with decrease before increase afterwards.The metronidazole or rabeprazole has preventive effect on small intestinal lesions.

Objective To observe the short-term efficacy and safety of sequential administration of erlotinib and chemotherapy in unselected, chemonaive patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Previously-untreated patients (n=23) with stage Ⅲ_B/Ⅳ NSCLC and ECOG PS of 0/1 received erlotinib (150 mg/d) on days 15-28 of a 4-week cycle that included gemcitabine (1250 mg/m~2, days 1 and 8), and either cisplatin (75 mg/m~2, day 1) or carboplatin (AUC=5, day 1). The primary end points were tumor response rate and safety. Results 23 patients received a total of 95 cycles of treatment, and all were evaluable for efficacy and toxicity. The overall response rate was 30.4%, 0 case achieved complete responses (CR), 7 cases (30.4%) achieved partial responses (PR), 14 cases (60.9 %) achieved stable disease (SD), 2 cases (8.7 %) achieved progression disease (PD). The disease control rate was 91.3 %. The sequential administration of erlotinib following gemcitabine/platinum chemotherapy was well tolerated. The major grade 3 treatment-related adverse events were eutropenia (13.4%), rash (8.7%), nausea (8.7%) and thrombocytopenia (8.7%). No treatment-related interstitial lung disease. Conclusion equential administration of erlotinib following gemcitabine/platinum chemotherapy was effective, and the toxicity was tolerable. This treatment strategy warrants further investigation.

Objective To introduce the application of computer aided technology in the treatment of pelvic malunion and observe the effect of this technique on the operation.Methods Data of 9 consecutive patients with pelvic malunion who were enrolled in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2012 were retrospectively observed.There were 4 patients who had undergone surgery with computer aided technology,including 3 men and 1 woman with an average age of 34 years (computer aided technology,CAT) group.According to the Tile classification,4 cases were all type C.There were 1 case with open pelvic fractures,2 associated with the craniocerebral injury,2 associated with the thoracic injury and 2 associated with the abdomen trauma.There were 5 patients who had undergone surgery without computer aided technology,including 3 men and 2 women with an average age of 32.6 years (conventional group).According to the Tile classification,4 cases were all type C.There were 1 case with open pelvic fractures,2 associated with the craniocerebral injury,3 associated with the thoracic injury and 1 associated with the abdomen trauma.The Majeed score,the visual analogue score (VAS),operation time,blood loss,blood transfusion,intraoperative fluoroscopy,degree of improvement in lower limb length,iatrogenic injury and the complication were all recorded respectively.Results For the CAT group,the operation time was 195-230 min,the blood loss was 800-1 6 00 ml,the blood transfusion was 6-16 U,intraoperative fluoroscopy was 6-11 times and the degree of improvement in lower limb length was 2-3 cm.The Majeed score in the final follow-up was 78-90 points,including 3 excellent cases and 1 good.The VAS after surgery was 0-4 points.For the conventional group,the operation time was 210-330 min,the blood loss was 600-4 500 ml,the blood transfusion was 6-28 U,intraoperative fluoroscopy was 7-18 times and the degree of improvement in lower limb length was 1-3 cm.The Majeed score in the final follow-up was 79-89 points,including 3 excellent cases and 2 good.The VAS after surgery was 1-4 points.Conclusion Surgeons can make full preoperative planning by the computer aided technology before the operation.This technology which reduces the operation time can make the operation more accurately,effectively and safely.

Objective To construct an electrochemical immunosensor for ultrasensitive determination of myeloperoxidase (MPO) .Methods The electrochemical immunosensor for M PO was prepared by modifying the electrode using Au-graphitized me-soporous carbon nanoparticles(AuNPs@ GMCs) hybrid and immobilizing MPO antibodies onto the glass carbon electrode surface . The effect of experimental parameters on the immunosensor and results comparison with ELISA were investigated .Results The immunosensor was sensitive to M PO with a linear relationship between 2 .000 and 300 .000 ng/mL and a correlation coefficient of 0 .999 ;the detection limit was 0 .5 ng/mL .The correlation coefficient of two methods was 0 .983 .Conclusion The immunosensor can be used for ultrasensitive detection of MPO .

This article briefly described the existing problems in talent training of TCM informatics, conducted discussion according to discipline personnel training practice teaching mode, proposed to introduce Arduino open-source hardware into TCM informatics teaching, try to carry out practice exploration for existing classroom and experiment teaching, and proposed relevant suggestions to promote learning interest of students and improve their application ability, with a purpose to further improve the practice teaching mode of TCM informatics, cultivate "TCM+informatics" compound and application talents to promote long-term development of this discipline.

OBJECTIVETo observe clinical therapeutic effect of head point-through-point electroacupuncture on Parkinson's disease and the mechanism.

METHODSSeventy-six cases of Parkinson's disease were randomly divided into a treatment group (n=37) treated with head point-through-point electroacupuncture and oral administration of madopa, and a control group (n=39) with only oral administration of madopa. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lipids peroxides (LPO) were determined before and after treatment.

RESULTSThe effective rate was 97.3% in the treatment group and 61.5% in the control group with a very significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01). SOD activity and LPO content were significantly improved after treatment in the treatment group (P < 0.01), with a significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONHead point-through-point electroacupuncture can improve SOD activity and LPO content in the body so as to cure Parkinson's disease.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the expression and clinical significance of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in patients with bladder urothelial cell carcinoma.

METHODSImmunohistochemical staining for MIF was performed on tissue sections of 110 patients with bladder urothelial cell carcinoma and 10 normal controls, and the correlations between MIF and clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis were also analyzed.

RESULTSNormal bladder urothelium from control subjects showed negative or weak staining of MIF. Of the cancer specimens, 72/110 (65.5%) showed a moderate to strong staining of MIF. The expression of MIF protein was found predominantly in the tumor cell cytoplasm and inversely correlated with tumor stage. 27 cases also showed a positive intranuclear staining of MIF, which was inversely correlated with tumor grade, stage and tumor size. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the expression of MIF in the cell nuclei was associated with disease-free survival for the cancer patients, but multivariate analysis showed that MIF was not an independent prognostic factors.

CONCLUSIONSThe expression of MIF in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer tissues was more frequently than that in muscle-invasive disease, the positive staining of MIF in cell nuclei might be a favorable biomarker for patients with bladder urothelial cell carcinoma.
