Objective To analyze the efficacy of electric sacral neuromdulation and resiniferatoxin in patients with female overactive bladder. Methods 32 cases with IOAB female patients accepted percutaneous test sitmulation of the electric sacral nerves at S3 ,and treated by intravesical instillation with 100ml of 100nmol/L RTX.The effica- cy of voiding status were evaluated. The improvement of female patients life were evaluated comparing the rating of depression and anxiety. Results There were significant improvements in 32 cases in variables included the number of voiding, volume voided and signs every day and urgent uresis. In the rating of depression and anxiety, the patients improved a litter and still had stimulating symptom in urethra and bladder. Conclusion The treatment of IOAB with single administratoon of electric sacral neuromdulation and resiniferatoxin is effective, and can successfully im- prove the symptom with little side effects.

Objective To evaluate the image quality of 64-multi detector computed tomography (MDCT)and the clinical accuracy in detecting coronary artery lesions. Methods One hundred and five patients were studied by MDCT.The results were compared with invasive coronary angiography(ICA). Patients were excluded for atrial fibrillation, but not for high heart rate, coronary calcification,or obesity. MDCT was analyzed with regard to image quality and presence of coronary artery lesions. Results The data evaluation of the image quality was based on a total of 1365 segments(13 coronary segments for each patient),of which 1144 segments were considered to have diagnostic image quality, but 221 segments (16.2%)could not be sufficiently evaluated because of severe calcifications(153 segments)and motion artifacts(68 segments). The median calcium score[Agatston score equivalent(ASE)]was 154(range 0—1983).87 of the 105 patients had an ASE of less than 1,000[median 105(range 0—994)],and 18 patients had an ASE greater than 1000[median 1477(range 1115—1983)].For detecting lesions with 50% or greater narrowing(without any exclusion criteria),the overall sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were 85.7%,97.9%,93.0%,and 95.5%,respectively. When limiting the number of patients to those with a calcium score of less than 1000 ASE,the threshold- corrected sensitivity for lesions with 50% or greater narrowing was 96.0%;specificity,98.9%;positive predictive value,95.3%;and negative predictive value,99.0%.Conclusion Our results indicate high quantitative and qualitative diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice MSCT in comparison to QCA in a broad spectrum of patients.

Objective To observe whether the expression of interferon-regulatory factor genes are re- lated to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods The clinical data of 45 SLE patients and 37 normal controls were collected.Total RNA of peripheral blood was extracted and transcripted into cDNA.Sybr green dye based real-time quantitative PCR method was used to compare the expression (indicated as-??Ct value) of IRFI,IRF4,IRF8 in patients with SLE and those in the controls. Results The levels of IRF1,IRF4 and IRF8 mRNA were-3.90?0.19,-8.04?0.25 and 3.60?0.15 respectively in normal controls. In SLE patients, IRF4 mRNA expression was -8.82?0.18,higher than that in normal (P=0.011).But IRF8 mRNA expression was 3.09?0.13,lower than that in normal (P=0.012).Conclusion Abnormal IRF mRNA expression is found in the peripheral blood of SLE patients.IRFs may play roles in the pathogenesis of SLE by affecting the differen- tiation of Th cells.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) have functions such as immune regulation and tissue damage repair, but the specific mechanisms of their effects need to be further studied. Paracrine effect is an important mechanism for MSCs to achieve immune regulation, relieve inflammation and repair tissue damage. Tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α) stimulated protein 6(TSG-6) is one of the paracrine factors of MSCs, which has significant inflammation inhibitory capability and tissue repair ability. It is an important cytokine of MSCs to exert their anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects. The MSCs can repair tissue damage in kidney, peritonea, skin, liver, lung, cornea, nervous system, and colon by secreting TSG-6. This powerful repair ability could be attributed to the ability of TSG-6 to inhibit the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and pro-fibrogenic factors, such as TNF-α, interleukin(IL)-6, IL-1β and transforming growth factor-β1, thereby reducing the inflammatory response and fibrosis of the body.

Objective To investigate the quality of life and analyze its influencing factors for postoperative patients with total artificial knee joint replacement, and to provide basis for enhancing the quality of life of patients with total artificial knee joint replacement. Methods A questionnaire method was used to survey 100 postoperative patients with total artificial knee joint replacement. Data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0.Results The quality of life of total artificial knee joint replaeement patients was not good. Its main influencing factor was the rehabilitation status of artificial knee joint. Conclusions These results suggest that we should pay more attention to the quality of life of total artificial knee joint replacement patients, and strengthen the postoperative rehabilitation exercise, thereby facilitating the rehabilitation of joint function and improving patients' quality of life.

OBJECTIVETo discuss a method for reconstruction of deeply burned of extremities' functional regions with local skin flaps.
METHODSNinety-eight cases (with 126 place) of deeply burned wound of extremities were reconstructed with fasciocutaneous flaps.
RESULTSThe survival rate of 162 flaps was 93.2%. The movement of 112 joints (88.9%) was restored to normal, and the movement of 14 joints was mild limitation, none of the cases was severe obstacle.
CONCLUSIONSThe method is simple and with satisfactory results, which can decrease the rate of disability suffered from burn.

OBJECTIVETo determine the efficacy and feasibility of the combination of postural reduction and percutaneous kyphoplasty for traumatic thoracolumbar spine fractures.
METHODSThirty-seven patients with single level traumatic thoracolumbar spine fractures were included in this study. There are 28 males and 9 females, with an average age of 48 years (range 24 to 79 years). Patients were treated with postural reduction and then percutaneous vertebroplasty with Calcium Phosphate Cement (CPC) were performed on the fractured vertebra. The results were quantitatively evaluated, according to the concept of estimated vertebral height loss and kyphotic angle of the vertebral fractures by preoperative and postoperative plain standing lateral radiographs. Visual analog scale (VAS) and the fracture vertebra shape changes were recorded.
RESULTSPatients were followed up for 9 to 24 months (average 13 months), pain was significantly relieved compared with the preoperative, VAS was reduced averagely from 7.6 +/- 2.5 to 1.8 +/- 1.5, the anterior and middle vertebral height was restored and kyphotic angle was corrected. During the period of follow up, outcomes were satisfactory, without notable correction loss.
CONCLUSIONIf the indications are correctly handled, the combination of postural reduction and percutaneous kyphoplasty for the treatment of traumatic thoracolumbar spine fractures can provide significant pain relieve and restore the vertebral height and kyphotic angle.
