1.Practice and exploration of the health reform in Wuhu city
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2013;29(10):721-723
Wuhu City has been exploring, since 2007,an innovative health and medical system featuring both the reform of public hospitals and that of the primary care system. This reform aims at strengthening the public health service system, improving the basic medical service system, speeding up the construction of the medical security system, and improving the drug supply system. It is characteristic of a core, two wings, and four-wheel drive, which tells the essence of Wuhu' s reform practices and outcomes.

Objective To summarize the characteristic findings on chest radiography and spiral CT of anomalous systemic arterial supply to normal basal segments of the left lower lobe of the lung. Methods Five patients with anomalous systemic arterial supply to normal basal segments of the left lower lobe of the lung were retrospectively reviewed.Chest radiography, and contrast-enhanced spiral CT scan were analyzed. Results On posteroanterior chest radiographs, the findings in 5 cases of this anomaly were all shown as a retrocardiac mass, narrowing lower lobar pulmonary artery shadow, and without normal lower lobar pulmonary artery branches but there were dilated abnormal markings in left lower lung zone.On contrast- enhanced spiral CT scans, the involved left lower lobe of the lung had mild volume loss but normal bronchial trees in all 5 cases and areas of ground-glass opacity in 2 cases. The absence of normal left lower lobar pulmonary artery distal to the origin of superior segmental artery, anomalous systemic artery originating from the descending aorta, diffuse dilatation of the systemic arterial branches distributed in the basal segments of the left lower lobe were also found in all the patients. One patient who underwent angiography had similar vessel features with spiral CT.Conclusion There are some characteristic findings on chest radiography in this anomaly.the contrast-enhanced spiral CT scans are important in diagnosing and avoiding invasive angiography and life-threatening lung biopsy.

Objective To probe the biological degradation of composite bone cement of calcium phosphate and cancellous bone granules,as well as its biophysical and solidifying characteristics. Methods The specimens of composite bone cement were determined by its solidification, which were made of 2.5g calcium phosphate cement mixed either with10%,15%,20%,25%,30%or 35%bone granules of 0.5~1.0mm diameter. The cylindrical specimens of 10mm diameter and18mm length were used for biomechnical test.Furthermore, the bone defect of 5mm?5mm?6mm in12canines were made in L 3 and L 4 verte bral body through anterolateral lumbar vertebral body approach, and composite bone cement with20%bone granules and calcium phosphate cement were filled into the bone defects respectively. The bone formation was evaluated by X-ray and histological examination. Results The composite bone cement with less than20%cancellous bone granules displayed excellent solidifying character, while with the diameter of 0.5~1.0mm and the content of 15%to20%cancellous bone granules, the maximal load and com pressive strength of the composite bone cement were of no significant difference with calcium phosphate ce ment ;but the biomech nical characteristics would decrease if the diameter was1.0~2.0mm despite of the content 15%to20%gran ules.New bone formation were observed in the center of composite bone cement 2months later, and com posite bone cement were replaced mostly by new bone at4months;while in calcium phosphate cement group, only slight degradation occurred at the interface of implant material and host bone at2and4months.Conclusion The composite bone cement of calcium phosphate with20%content and0.5~1mm di am eter of can cellous bone granules can provide the ability of rapid degradation and bone formation. The re sults of study present the basic data of the reparative materials with the composite bone cement for verte-broplasty clinically.

A novel silica monolithic stationary phase functionalized with butylaminopropyl ligands for capillary electrochromatography(CEC) has been presented. The monolithic capillary columns were prepared by a sol-gel) process and subsequent a chemical modification. The amino groups on the surface of the stationary phase are meant to generate a substantial anodic electroosmotic flow (EOF). The butyl and propyl groups provide) hydrophobic properties. To evaluate the column performance, effects of buffer pH and organic modifier content on the EOF and electrochromatographic retention behavior of alkylbenzenes, organic acids and anilines were investigated. The monolithic stationary phase exhibited reversed phase (RP) chromatographic behavior toward neutral solutes. The model organic acid anion solutes were separated by the mixed mode mechanism, which comprised RP interaction, weak anion-exchange, and electrophoresis. Basic compounds such as anilines) were well separated on the butylaminopropyl silica monolithic column without peak tailing.
