OBJECTIVETo improve data unified descriptions, identification, query and management in public health service by means of establishing public health information classification framework and coding system.
METHODSData sets created from all fields in public health, scientific research, health management were classified into four layers of frameworks primary class, sub-class, main class and subject areas by means of integration of vertical with horizontal classifications. All these classes were further abstracted, merged and coded by individual characteristics in public health systems.
RESULTS(1) 4 subject areas in diseases control and prevention, public health service, public health management and sanitation surveillance were established including a total of 18 main classes, 49 sub-classes and 205 primary classes. (2) 7 digits and 4 segments (area code, code, disease classification code) were designed including a total of 30 digits multi-classification codes. The purpose of data effectively classifying and coding by application of 50 basic data sets in 9 areas fo public health has been realized.
CONCLUSIONWe believe that this method is of efficiency in data classification and code for public health information communication.

Fourteen psychrotrophic bacteria were isolated from swamp soil collected in Ruoergai plateau wetland, and their generation time and degrading ability of livestock wastewater CODcr was determined. The results showed that the generation time was within 4.9 h to 11.6 h.Based on the generation time,9 psychro-trophic strains(NLJ1,NLJ6,NLJ7,NLJ9,NLJ10,NLJ11,NLJ12,NLJ13 and NLJ14),whose generation time was within 4.9 h to 5.6 h,were chosen to treat livestock wastewater. The results suggested that these 9 strains had different CODcr disposal ability when treating livestock wastewater singly at 6?C for 6 h,and strains NLJ6,NLJ7,NLJ9,NLJ10,NLJ11 and NLJ13 had good ability to degrade livestock wastewater, the CODcr degrading rate was about 60%~70%,hence,they were used as high efficient strains; However, the CODcr degrading rate of the other strains was less than 50%.After inoculating mixture culture of these six strains into the distilled livestock wastewater, after 6 h's treating, the CODcr degrading rate reached to 85.42%.Furthermore,activated sludge collected from Yaan,Dujiangyan and Chengdu were inoculated by the mixture culture of those six strains, and used to treat livestock wastewater for 6 h.The results showed that the average CODcr degrading rate was 81.67%,76.32% and 70.56%,respectively;Variance analysis showed that there was no significant differentiation between each treatment, which revealed that those six psychrotrophic strains had good adaptability to different source of activated sludge.

OBJECTIVETo establish a three-dimension finite element model of mandible with two kinds of dental implant and to study the stress of implant-bone interface.
METHODSMeasuring the data of the components of the dental implant and using spiral CT image reconstruction technique to scan the cross section of the mandible. Three-dimension finite element analysis software Unigraphics and MSC. Marc/Mentat were used to build the conjunction model and bone model of two implant systems. Loading 200 N axially and 100 N 30 degrees obliquely on the models respectively, the stress distribution patterns of the bone interface of two implant systems were analyzed.
RESULTSThe stress distribution on the bone interface of two implant systems was similar. The peak stress of oblique loading was higher than that of axial loading. The peak stress district of the bone was concentrated on the stricture of the implant cervix, which was more obviously displayed on the Replace Select implant. The peak stresses on the bone interface of Replace Select implant were higher than that of Replace implant in all loadings.
CONCLUSIONTo Replace Select especially, oblique force should be avoided in clinical practice in case of the bone absorption.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship of four single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) haplotypes in the angiotensinogen (AGT) gene to the primary hypertension with or without cerebral infarction in the Li nationality of Hainan, China.
METHODSTotal 300 subjects were allocated into three different groups: Group 1, 100 patients who have primary hypertension; Group 2, 100 patients who have primary hypertension with cerebral infarction; and control group, 100 healthy individuals. The genotypes of all subjects were determined by PCR-sequencing to analyze the four polymorphisms at position -152 (G-A), -20 (A-C), -18 (C-T), and -6 (A-G) in the promoter region of AGT.
RESULTSThe frequencies of CT genotype of AGT-18 and T allele in Group 1 (P = 0.003, P = 0.004) and Group 2 (P = 0.002, P = 0.002) were both significantly higher than in healthy controls. The frequency of G allele of AGT-6 was significantly higher in Group 2 than in the control group (P = 0.016), while there is no significant difference between Group 1 and the control. Haplotype analysis revealed that H6 haplotype frequency which included -20C and -6G was significantly increased in Group 2 (P = 0.003) compared with the control group, while H5 haplotype frequency which included -20C and -18T was significantly increased in Group 1 (P = 0.006) versus the control.
CONCLUSIONThe -20 (A-C) and -18 (C-T) of the AGT may play an important role in pathogenesis of primary hypertension; and -20 (A-C), -18 (C-T), and -6 (A-G) may be the genetic risk factors for the onset of primary hypertension with cerebral infarction in the Li nationality of Hainan, China.

Objective To understand the status of drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis and the effect of preventive measure in Hebei province, so as to provide a basis to prevent and cure the disease. Methods Thirtyeight affected counties(cities, districts) with drinking-water-borne endemic fluorosis were sampled by random sampling in Hebei in 2009. All affected villages in every county were divided into mild, moderate and severe endemic fluorosis areas and a village was randomly selected from each category of the area to carry out the monitoring of endemic fluorosis. Dental fluorosis of children aged 8 - 12 were examined and 6 copies of urine samples were randomly collected in each age group in the above-mentioned villages. Clinical skeletal fluorosis was diagnosed among adults aged 16 and over and 20 copies of urine samples were tested for fluorosis in every village. Results A total of 112 affected villages were investigated, among which the drinking water quality of 66 villages were improved and 46 villages were not improved. A total of 236 copies of water samples from the 66 villages were measured and the fluoride content ranged from 0.1 to 4.3 mg/L, among which 20 copies of water samples exceeded the fluorine standard of 1.2 mg/L, accounting for 33.3%. A total of 230 copies of water samples were collected in the 46 villages and the fluoride content ranged from 0.2 to 4.6 mg/L, among which 76.1% (35/46) of the water samples exceeded the fluorine standard of 1.2 mg/L. A total of 5169 children aged 8 - 12 were examined of dental fluorosis, the dental fluorosis rate was 36.43%(1883/5169) and the dental fluorosis index was 0.81. A sum of 71 497 adults aged over 16 years were examined, and the rate of skeletal fluorosis was 4.81%(3438/71 497), moderate or severe clinical detection rate of skeletal fluorosis was 1.56%( 1114/71 497). A total of 2876 copies of children urine samples and 2021 copies of adult urine samples were tested and the geometric mean of fluoride content was 2.30,3.32 mg/L, respectively. Conclusions The prevalence of dental fluorosis of children in the areas with improved water is less than 30% and the rate of dental fluorosis and skeletal fluorosis decline gradually with time. The rate of dental fluorosis and skeletal fluorosis increases with the increase of water fluoride in the water quality not improved areas. The endemic fluorosis is still comparatively serious in Hebei. The progress of improving water quality in the areas with endemic fluorosis should be accelerated and the acceptability of improved water should be enhanced.

Objective To investigate the supply of iodized salt in non-excessive iodine counties and iodine-free salt in excessive iodine counties at household level in Hebei province so as to provide a basis for the prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD). Methods According to the national project of IDD surveillance, the county was taken as the elementary sampling unit. The towns and villages were selected by systematic and random sampling in every county and households were chosen by random sampling to collect their edible salt in Hebei province in 2008. The salt iodine content in non-and excessive iodine regions was detected by direct titrition method and semiquantitative method respectively. Results all 48 448 salt samples were collected from 167 non-excessive iodine counties. Weighed by the population of counties, the rate of non-iodized salt was 4.73%. Iodized salt accounted for 95.27%,out of which,96.13% were qualified and the consuming rate of qualified iodized salt was 91.96%. Eighty point eighty three percent(135/167) of the counties covered by iodized salt above 95%,92.81% (155/167) passing rate of iodized salt above 90% and 82.04 (137/167) consuming rate of qualified iodized salt. All 1466 salt samples were collected in 5 counties with excessive water iodine content and the coverage rate of iodine-free salt was 93.25%(1367/1466). Conclusions In a nutshell, the national targets for preliminary elimination of IDD have been achieved in regions of non-excessive iodine of Hebei province. Nevertheless, the coverage rate of iodized salt and qualified iodize salt rate in some counties are still below the national standard. Therefore the prevention and control of IDD need to be strengthened. The supply of iodized salt in excessive iodine regions should be timely stopped.
