1.Distinction of Several Pairs of Easily Confusable Herbal Seeds Under Scanning Electron Microscope

Easily confusable seed of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa (Bunge ) Hu and Hovenia acerba Lindl., Allium tuberosum Rottl .ex spreng. and A. fistulosum; Sinapis alba L. and Brassica campestris L. were examined under scanning electron microscope. Results s howed that: 1. )irregular nests were present on the surface of semen Z. jujuba var. spinosa, while papillae appeared on the surface of senen H.acerba Lindl; 2. ) Cells of seed coat of semen A. tuberosum were irregularly shaped or polygonic with protruding cutin on its peridium, while that of Semen A. fistulcsum were polygonic with connecting fibers between cells; 3. ) cells of semen S.alba L. were similarily polygonic, with thick and protruding vertical perine,while that of semen B. campestris L. were also polygonic, but its vertical perine were thiner and less protruding, its peridium shrinked in side and was covered with cutinous nets veins.
2.The clinical value of biofeedback electrical stimulation in therapy of female stress urinary incontinence

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of biofeedback electrical stimulation in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence(SUI) and discuss the clinical significance.Methods Daily therapy for 40 min through biofeedback electrical stimulation along with pelvic muscle exercises was performed in 36 cases of female SUI for 20 days as a course of treatment.The curative effect was evaluated as regular intervals.Results In the 36 cases,26 caces were cured,5 caces were improved and 5 caees were invalid.The total effective rate was 86.1%.In the follow-up visit,there was 1 case of relapse(2.8% ) but with moderate symptoms.Conclusion Biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with pelvic muscle exercises,as the therapy for mild and moderate female SUI,was a safe,reliable,feasible,convenient and effective clinical method with high curative ratio.
3.CT-guided Percutaneous Minimally Invasive Treatment by Using Herbert Screws for Wrist Scaphoid Fracture:Report of 21 Cases

Objective To investigate therapeutic effects of CT-guided percutaneous minimally invasive treatment by using Herbert screws for wrist scaphoid fracture . Methods From September 2010 to October 2012, 21 patients with scaphoid fracture were treated by internal fixation by using Herbert screws under the guidance of CT .The results of the procedure were assessed in terms of osseous union , pain extent , grip strength , and active motion of the wrist .Postoperative outcomes were evaluated by wrist standard scores based on patients’ perception of functions. Results The operation time was 25 -55 min (mean, 35.3 min).The intraoperative blood loss was 8-40 ml (mean, 18.6 ml).Fracture fragments were cured with bone union , with an average healing time of 10.4 weeks (range, 8-17 weeks).All the 21 cases were followed up for 8 -13 months (mean, 9.8 months).The VAS scores at the last follow-up was (1.2 ±0.8) points, which was significantly lower than that before the operation (5.3 ±1.4) points (t=11.785, P=0.000).The grip strength was (39.6 ±3.5) kg, which was significantly higher than that preoperatively [(19.4 ± 2.4) kg, t=-21.624, P =0.000].The Angle of wrist flexion and extension was 115.2°±7.4°, significantly higher than preoperative measure (89.8°±10.4°, t =-9.103, P =0.000).The wrist ulnar radial deflection angle was 53.7°±5.5°, significantly higher than preoperative one (39.4°±3.4°, t =-10.116, P=0.000).At the last follow-up assessment of wrist functions, excellent result was recorded in 18 cases, and good in 3 cases, with a good-or-excellent rate of 100%. Conclusion Treatment of scaphoid fracture with Herbert screws under the guidance of CT is a minimally invasive method , bearing advantages of little incision, simple operation performance , and good effects .
4.Application of the plastic principles in surgical treatment for diabetic foot ulcer

ObjectiveTo explore the application of the plastic principles in surgical treatment for diabetic foot ulcer and analyze the therapeutic efficacy.Methods51 cases of diabetic foot ulcer repaired with surgical treatment were analyzed.Results26 cases repaired with free skin graft,1 1 cases repaired with skin flap graft,3 cases repaired with amputation,the percentage of first stage healing rate was 91.4%.ConclusionApplication of the plastic principles in surgical treatment for diabetic foot ulcer,could improve the healing percentage and reduce the rate of amputation.

Objective To explore laboratory examination method of vaginal infection disease ,and to investigate the etiology of recurrent vaginitis .Methods 324 patients with recurrent vaginitis were selected to investigated the symptoms ,signs and vaginal discharge examination .Results (1)Among 324 patients ,293 cases (90 .4% ) of single infection and 31 cases (9 .6% ) mixed infec-tions were founded .There were 97 cases with VVC ,81 cases with CV ,17 cases with AV ,12 cases with BV ,and 14 cases with TV in the single infection cases .(2)In the 120 cases with VVC ,Candida albicans were accounted for 65 .0% ,non-Candida albicans strains were founded in 42 cases (35 .0% ) .(3)Among 28 cases of AV ,Escherichia coli ,Staphylococcus aureus ,Streptococcus aga-lactiae and Enterococcus f aecalis were main bacteria .Conclusion Recurrent vaginitis is common in clinical obstetrics and gynecolo-gy .Because of complex pathogeny ,clinicians should pay attention to laboratory results ,combined with the symptoms and signs , comprehensive evaluation ,improve disease diagnosis and treatment .
7.Clinical Observation of Yunkang Granule Combined with Dydrogesterone in the Treatment of Early Threat-ened Abortion

OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Yunkang granule combined with dydrogesterone in the treatment of early threatened abortion. METHODS:128 patients with early threatened abortion were randomly divided into single drug group and combined medication group,64 cases in each group. Single drug group received Dydrogesterone tablet with first dose of 40 mg,then 10 mg,q 12 h until vaginal bleeding;combined medication group additionally received 8 g Yunkang granule, tid,until symptoms disappeared. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG),clinical symptoms remission time and disappearance time,pregnancy/childbirth complications,pregnancy outcome and neonatal adverse outcome,and the incidence of adverse reac-tions in 2 groups were compared. RESULTS:After treatment,HCG in 2 groups significantly increased,and combined medication group was higher than single drug group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);clinical symptoms remission time and disappearance time in combined medication group were shorter than single drug group,the difference was statistically signifi-cant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in incidence of pregnancy/childbirth complications,pregnancy outcome and neonatal adverse outcomes in 2 groups (P>0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in combined medication group was 10.9%, which was significantly lower than single drug group (40.6%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLU-SIONS:Both dydrogesterone alone and Yunkang granule combined with dydrogesterone show good efficacy in the treatment of ear-ly threatened abortion,but the remission time and disappearance time of clinical symptoms and adverse reactions in combined medi-cation group are less than that in single drug group.

Objective To study the chemical constituents of the South China Sea black coral Amtipathes dichotoma. Methods Compounds were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatography on silica gel and their structures were identified by spectral analyses and compared with literatures. Results Ten compounds were obtained from A. dichotoma and characterized as stigma-7,22-dien-3?,5?,6?-triol (Ⅰ),5,8-epidioxycampesta-6,22-dien-3-ol (Ⅱ),cholesterol (Ⅲ),(2S,3R,4E,8E)-2-N-(2'-hydroxyhexadecanoyl) hexadecasphinga-4,8-diene (Ⅳ),(2S,3R,4E)-2-N-(2'-hydroxytetracosanoyl) octadecasphinga-4-ene (Ⅴ),batyl alcohol (Ⅵ),thymine (Ⅶ),thymidine (Ⅷ),uracil (Ⅸ),and guanine (Ⅹ). Conclusion All compounds are obtained from Amtipathes dichotoma. for the first time.
10.The influence of polysaaccharide from Spirulina platensis on human embryo lung diploid fibroblastic DNA damage and repair after UV irradiation

Objective To observe the influence of polysaccharide from spirulina platensis(PSP) on human embryo lung diploid fibroblastic DNA damage and repair after UV irradiation. Methods After UV irradiation for 30min, the single cell gel electrophoresis(SCGE) was used to investigate the level of DNA damage, the level of DNA damage and repair at 30, 60, 90min were also investigated by SCGE respectively. Results The level of DNA damage induced by UV irradiation was prevented by PSP, and it also promote DNA repair capacity. Conclusion PSP can increase the activity of DNA endonuclease and DNA ligase in dose-de- pendrntly.
