1.The protective effects of quercetin on neural cells

Objective To explore the mechanism of quercetin against the toxicity of amyloid β(Aβ)to neuroblastoma cell SK -N -SH.Methods In the experiment,SK -N -SH cells were divided to four groups,control group,Aβgroup,Aβ+quercetin group and quercetin group,and treated for 72h.The proliferation of cells,the concen-trations of reactive oxygen species (ROS)and glutathione (GSH)in cells were determined.Results Compared with the control group,Aβ[AβgrouP =(50.6 ±2.5)]could significantly suppress the proliferation of neuroblastoma cells (P =0.000).However,Aβgroup added with quercetin[Aβ+quercetin =(88.0 ±9.1)]showed decreased cellular toxicity induced by Aβ(P =0.001).Additionally,there was no significant difference between the control group and quercetin group.Likely,the concentration of ROS increased in Aβgroup (523.3 ±22.5 ),which was higher than (190.3 ±25.7)in the control group and (224.0 ±56.0)in quercetin group (P =0.000).At last,quercetin could increase GSH level in SK -N -SH cells and higher than Aβgroup[(3.0 ±0.2),P =0.004]and Aβ+quercetin [(5.6 ±1.1),P =0.008].Conclusion Quercetin could attenuate the suppression of proliferation of SK -N -SH cells induced by Aβ,that might be though increased concentration of GSH and decreased level of ROS.These data suggested that quercetin has clinical potentials in neurology.
2.Dynamic change of PCT,hs-CRP and WBC count in neonatal infection and its clinical significance

Objective To investigate the dynamic change of procalcitonin (PCT ) and hypersensitive C‐reactive protein (hs‐CRP) in neonatal infection and its clinical significance .Methods 176 neonates with infection in our hospital from August 2013 to July 2014 were selected and treated by the routine therapy of anti‐infection ,oxygen inhalation ,etc .,and divided into the improvement group(89 cases) ,non‐change group(48 cases) and deterioration group(39 cases) according to the curative effect after 20 d therapy . Serum PCT and hs‐CRP levels were detected before treatment(T0) ,on 5 d(T1) ,10 d(T2) ,15 d(T3) and 20 d(T4) of treatment by adopting the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) .Results The PCT ,hs‐CRP levels and WBC count before treatment had no significant difference among 3 groups(P>0 .05);the PCT and hs‐CRP levels after treatment in the improvement group showed the significantly declining trend ,which reached the lowest at T4 (P<0 .05) ,while the PCT and hs‐CRP levels in the deterioration group showed the obviously rising trend ,which reached the highest at T4 (P<0 .05) ,but which in the non‐change group had no significant change (P>0 .05) .In terms of WBC count ,the WBC count in all the cases showed a rising first and then decreasing trend ,the WBC count at T4 in the improvement group was lower than before treatment(P<0 .05) ,while which in the deterioration group was higher than before treatment (P<0 .05) ,but which in the non‐change group had no significant change between before and after treatment(P>0 .05);the Spearman analysis results after treatment showed that the serum PCT ,hs‐CRP levels and WBC count were negatively correlated with efficacy (r1 = -0 .764 ,P1 <0 .05;r2 = -0 .724 ,P2 <0 .05 ;r3 = -0 .573 ,P3 <0 .05) .Conclu‐sion PCT and hs‐CRP can effectively reflect the therapeutic effect of neonatal infection ,and is closely correlated with the patient′s own immune status ,which can be taken as one of reference indicators for formulating the treatment scheme and evaluating progno‐sis ,and is worth for further clinical promotion .

4.Relationship between polymorphism of FcγRIIIA F158V genotype andsystemic lupus erythermatosus as well as lupus nephritis in Chinese Han population

Objective To find the frequencies of FcγRIIIA polymorphisms in Chinese people and the potential role of these polymorphisms(SNPs) in systemic lupus erythermatosus(SLE) and lupus nephritis(LN).Methods The investigation covers 324 unrelated Chinese SLE patients and 319 controls.FcγRIIIA F158V polymorphism was genotyped by specific primer-polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Results The frequency of F allele of FcγRIIIA polymorphism is 60.8% in Chinese people.FcγRIIIA polymorphism revealed a significant difference of both genotype and allele distribution in SLE patients and controls.LN patients have a significant increase in carrier frequency of the FF genotype, while the VV genotype reveals a significant decreased risk of early onset of LN.ConclusionsFcγRIIIA polymorphisms is potentially related with SLE in Chinese people.The homozygous FF genotype of FcγRIIIA might be the risk factor for LN, while the homozygous VV genotype might be the protective factor for late onset lupus nephritis.
5.Disinfection Effectiveness at Medical Care Units in Dongcheng District,Beijing in 2005

OBJECTIVE To monitor disinfection effectiveness at medical care units in Dongcheng District,Beijing,and therefore,analyze the existing problems in the process and how to solve them.METHODS Air monitoring was conducted by means of plate vessel exposure,hands and article inspection by daubing,steamed pressure disinfection by biological-bacterial piece examination and the using disinfection liquid was examined by fixed suspended liquid tests from Jan to Nov 2005.RESULTS After monitoring and inspecting 23 hospitals,103 clinics,etc,the results showed the disinfection effectiveness was of significant variety.CONCLUSIONS Medical workers should be trained about knowledge related to disinfection and medical management and disinfection control should be strengthened.
6.The clinical significance of procalcitonin and hypersensitive c-reactive protein test in ;early newborn infection

Objective:To discuss the clinical significance of procalcitonin(PCT) and hypersensitive c-reactive protein(hs-CRP) test in early newborn infection. Methods:Sixty cases of our hospital treatment confirmed infection early newborn children were selected from June 2007 to July 2007,according to the condition was divided into severe infection group and local infection group, at the same time, 30 cases of our new pediatric infection in early neonatal were chosen as control group, to collect the moderate amount of peripheral blood of three groups before and after the treatment, detected and analyzed the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the serum, Used Pearson correlation analysis to analysis the correlation of PCT and hs-CRP in the serum. Results: Severe infection group serum PCT, hs CRP levels and positive rate higher than that of local infection group, local infection group of PCT, hs CRP levels and positive rate is higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant; Infection group before treated with serum PCT and hs-CRP levels and positive rate were higher than after treated(x2=7.248, x2=6.934; P<0.05); Pearson correlation analysis show that, according to the results of PCT and hs-CRP were positively correlated (r=0.533, P<0.533). Conclusion:Procalcitonin and hypersensitive c-reactive protein plays an important role in the infections of early neonatal children, PCT and hs-CRP were positively correlated, it can be used as an important index of early diagnosis of early neonatal infectious diseases.
7.Investigation about the simulation interview for seeking jobs to nursing undergraduate students SUI

Objectives To help nursing students to adapt to the environment of the job interviews by simulation interview, train the students'psychological quality and the adaptability, give the necessary guidance for seeking job after graduation. Method Five interview groups were composed by 15 nurse executives and interpersonal communication teachers from 4 hospitals, after the simulation interview, the students were surveyed using the self-desigued questionnaire. Results There are 10 items having the most significant influence, 10 items having more obvious influence the last 7items.Conclusion It can improve all aspects'ability of the students effectively through carrying out the simulation interview pertinence, and can help the students find job successfully.
8.Contrast study of quetiapine and risperidone in female first-episode schizophrenia

Objective To investigate the efficacy and adverse reaction of quetiapine compared to risperidone in female first-episode schizophrenia.Methods Eighty cases met the CCMD-3 criteria for schizophrenia were divided into two groups with random numbers table method,treated with quetiapine(300 ~ 750mg/d) and risperidone(2 ~5mg/d) respectively for 8 weeks.The efficacy was measured with the positive and negative symptoms scale(PANSS),and the side effects were observed.Results The difference between two groups in 2-weekend,4-weekend and 8-weekend PANSS had no statistical meaning(all P>0.05).The efficient rate of clinial treatment of quetiapine and risperidone groups were 90% and 87.5% respectively,The difference had no statistical meaning(P>0.05).Risperidone group had higher incidence rate than quetiapine group in adverse reaction such as tremor,muscle rigidity,akathisia,emmenia change and lactation etc.Conclusion Quetiapine haa equivalent clinial effect with risperidone in female first-episode schizophrenia,and had less adverse reaction.

Objective:To investigate the mechanisms of decoy oligodeoxynucleotides(decoy-ODN) blockading Stat3 that inhibit breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 proliferation.Methods:Stat3 decoy-ODN and scramble control were transfected into breast cell line MDA-MB-231, respectively. The cell proliferation capability was detected by cell counting; flow cytometry was applied to detect MDA-MB-231 cell cycle; FITC labeled decoy was observed by Reflected Light Fluorescence Microscope; the expression of the gene controlled by Stat3 was examined by means of RT-PCR and Western blot assay.Results:Stat3 decoy-ODN could be internalized into MDA-MB-231 cells and inhibit the growth of MDA-MB-231 cell via inducing its apoptosis. Stat3 decoy-ODN also could significantly reduce the expression of Stat3 controlling genes such as Bcl-xl,c-myc and CylinD1.Conclusion:Stat3 decoy-ODN can inhibit breast cell line MDA-MB-231 proliferation by blockading JAK/STAT pathway. This suggests that transcription factor decoy-ODN may serve as a novel therapeutic strategy for breast cancer.
