1.Evaluation of current imaging in restaging rectal cancer after neoadjuvant therapy.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2014;17(11):1156-1160
The combination of preoperative chemoradi-otherapy and surgery has become the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer. Up to 30% of patients received pathologic complete response(pCR) after neoadjuvant therapy, for whom low rates of local recurrence and improved outcome after surgery were achieved. Given that, some authors have recommended local resection for clinical extensive response or non operative "wait and see" policy for clinical complete response(cCR) respectively, in which radical surgery-associated complication and dysfunction can be avoided. Current imaging can provide excellent accuracy in primary staging of rectal cancer, however, when used for restaging, the ability is less satisfactory, especially for pCR prediction, as a result of modification on tumor and surrounding tissue induced by neoadjuvant therapy. The question on how to identify patients with pCR before surgery has received more attention recently. On the basis of pathological findings after surgery, in this article, we review the reliability and predictive ability of current imaging for restaging and pCR after preoperative chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer.

Objective To explore the influence of psychological intervention on the immune function of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods Forty nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with concomitant radiochemotherapy were divided into intervention group and control group by random digits table method with 20 cases each.Among concomitant radiochemotherapy nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients, intervention group were treated with comprehensive psychological behavior, and control group received only concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Both groups were investigated by Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS).Natural killer cells activity were measured by flow cytometry. Results There were no significantly difference in score of SDS and SAS between two confirmed groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the score of SDS and SAS in intervention group were(45.26± 3.83), (42.57 ± 3.75) points, which were significantly lower than those of control group (52.68 ± 3.66), (51.16 ± 3.62) points, the difference was statistically significant(t =6.264, 7.370, P<0.05). Meanwhile, natural killer cell activity between two groups showed no significantly difference (P>0.05). However, the activity of natural killer cells in intervention group was 26.96±9.01,which was higher than that of control group 22.84 ± 7.19, there were statistically significant difference between two groups (t=2.120, P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between the value difference of SDS scores,SAS scores and natural killer cell activity between two groups (r=0.238, P=0.006; r=0.527, P=0.003). Conclusions Comprehensive psychological intervention can significantly not only improve the depression and anxiety of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients, but also enhance the activity of natural killer cells, which help maintain the leukocyte level of patients.

Objective To evaluate the bioequivalence of domestic and imported terazosin hydrochloride tablets after single oral dose .Methods It was a single center ,randomized ,open ,cross-over trail design ,21 subjects were fasting oral adminis-tered of 2 mg domestic and imported terazosin hydrochloride tablets in different periods ,venous blood 4 ml were collected in different time points before and 60 h after administration ,plasma concentration of terazosin was determined by LC-MS/MS . Results The main pharmacokinetic parameters of domestic and imported terazosin hydrochloride tablets were as follows :t1/2 :(13.2± 2.39)hvs(12.5±1.93)h,tmax :(1.01±0.83)hvs(1.08±0.69)h,Cmax :(40.1±10.6)ng/mlvs(37.3± 9 .57) ng/ml;AUC0- ∞ :(428 ± 82 .1) ng · h/ml vs (426 ± 85 .2) ng · h/ml .The relative bioavailability of domestic terazosin hydrochloride tablets was (101 .2 ± 14 .7)% .90% CI of domestic and imported terazosin hydrochloride tablets AUC0-t and Cmax geometric mean ratio fell between 80% -125% .Conclusion The domestic tablets are bioequivalent to the imported tablets .
