Objective: To investigate the antiatherosclerotic effect of the extract from grape seed in C57BL/6J mice. Method: The mice were fed with atherosclerotic diet for 20 w and then with basic diet or different dosage of grape seed extract for 4 w. The blood samples were examined for blood lipid. The sections of aorta were examined and scored microscopically. Results: After fed with atherogenic diet for 20 w, the aortic score was 7.2?1.3 and TG, Chol and MDA in serum were significantly increased. After fed with the extract of grape seed for 4 w, the aortic score was reduced to 6.0?1.2, and TG, TC, and MDA levels also decreased. Conclusion: The extract of grape seed has antiatherosclerotic effect.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the infection status and susceptibility of mycoplasma to 14 antibiotic agents. METHODS Mycoplasma was cultured and its susceptibility from 3577 patients with genitourinary tract infections were statistically analyzed. RESULTS The positive rate of mycoplasma was 43.9%.The positive rate of Ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu),Mycoplasma hominis (Mh ) and Uu+Mh were 33.4%,1.5% and 8.9%,respectively. The positive rate of Uu was significantly higher than that of Mh and Uu+Mh (P

Objective To develop TaqMan real-time PCR assay for detection and identification of streptococcus pneumonia iso-lated from children CAP.Methods Based on the sequences of lytA gene, primers and probe were designed and the assay was optimized. Then 1 504 sputum samples were detected by culture and the developed assay with double-blind testing. Results The lower limit of detection in the developed real-time PCR assay was 18.75 cfu/PCR,and had no cross reaction.141 strep-tococcus pneumonia strains were detected from 1 504 samples and 140 were isolated by culture. The whole process just nee-ded 2.5 h.Conclusion The established assay is rapid, simple, high sensitivity and specificity. It is not only valuable for the i-dentification of streptococcus pneumonia, but also provide evidence for antibiotic therapy.

Objective To investigate effectiveness of meta-cognitive intervention on aged people with middle depression. Methods Geriatrist Depression Scale(GDS) and Hamilton's Depression Scale ( HAMD-17 ) were used to screen out 70 aged people with middle depression from 850 retired soldier cadres dwelling in cpla dalian sanitarium. They were randomly divided into study group( n = 35 ) and control group( n = 35 ). The experimental group received meta-cognitive intervening and general nursing care for 8 weeks, while the control group only received general nursing care for 8 weeks. HAMD-17, GDS, global assessment scale(GAS) and the Metacognitions Questionnaire(MCQ-30) were administered both at the start and the end of the 8th week. Results The total scores in HAMD and GDS were decreased significantly in study group ( HAMD: ( 1 1.54 ± 2.50 ) vs ( 13.06 ±2.82),t= -2.378, P=0. 020;GDS:(12.51 ±2.43) vs (16.06 ±2.48), t= -6. 031, P=0. 000;GAS:(77.71 ±3.03) vs (75.63 ± 3.24), t = 2. 785, P = 0. 007 ). At the end of 8th week, the MCQ total score was significantly decreased in study group (38.69 ± 4. 17,81.37 ± 5.98, t = 34. 652, P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion For aged people with middle depression, good effects are got by the meta-cognitive intervening technique and meta-cognitive intervening technique improve the meta-cognitive level of aged people with middle depressive mood.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the reason of biochemical suboptimal response in CHB patients with complete virological response after more than 2 years standard treatment with Nucleos(t)-ide analogs (NUCs).To evaluate the efficacy and safety profiles of bicyclol tablets plus on the basis of the original treatment and lifestyle intervention. in CHB patients complicated with fatty liver.
METHODSIn 40 patients with chronic hepatitis B meeting the inclusion criteria, the liver biopsy was conducted. And patients complicated with fatty liver were treated with bicyclol tablets (25 mg, t.i.d) additional consecutive 48 weeks. The changes of serum biochemistry indexes and liver fibrosis index were observed before and after treatment.
RESULTSAmong 40 patients, 27 were complicated with fatty liver(69.23%), fatty degree in liver cell and liver inflammatory were closely related to the advanced fibrosis (x² =4.746, P=0.029; x² =5.072, P=0.024). The expression of HBsAg in serum and liver tissue showed no correlation with the advanced fibrosis (x² = 0.273, P=0.601; x² = 0.020, P =0.887) After bicyclol tablets treatment, serum biochemistry of patients complicated with fatty liver significantly decreased (F=58.045, P =0.000), plasma GST-PX significantly increased (t=15.109, P =0.000), plasma MDA significantly decreased (t=-10.786, P=0.000); LSM significantly decreased (t=2.255, P=0.036; t =5.376, P =0.002).
CONCLUSIONFor the antiviral purpose of guide treatment, CHB patients treated with Nucleos(t)-ide analogs (NUCs) with biochemical suboptimal response, other risk factors should be considered as early as possible. Bicyclol plus lifestyle intervention was effective for chronic hepatitis B combined fatty liver patients with poor biochemical responses.

About 1% of the patients with acute hepatitis B can progress to acute liver failure, and 75% of the patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related acute liver failure need to undergo liver transplantation or face death. This article reports a patient with HBV infection-related acute liver failure who achieved clinical cure and HBsAg seroconversion after antiviral therapy and symptomatic/supportive treatment, and dynamic monitoring was performed for immunological markers in peripheral blood.
