Objective To study the imaging of central pentine myelinolysis (CPM) and extrapontine myelinolysis(EPM) after liver transplantation and value of DWI. Methods Eight patients after liver transplantation with CPM and EPM were included in our study, 4 cases of female and 4 cases of male.MR examinations were performed on Philips 1.5 T MRI system. The sequences included SE T1 WI, FSE T2Wl,axial SE-EPI DWI,TR/TE 6225/118.7 ms, ETL 128, FLIP 90°, thickness 5 nun, matrix 128 ×128,b=1000 mm2/s. Results Four of B type hepatitis and cirrhosis and 1 case combined with hepatic carcinoma, 1 of C type hepatitis with cirrhosis from schistosome,2 of C type hepatitis and cirrhosis, 1 of cholangiogenic cirrhosis. MR demonstrated prolongation of T1 and T2 with a shape of butterfly, round or quadrangle on the brain stem sparing of the corticospinal tract and peripontine tissue. The lesion manifested high signal intensity both on DWI and ADC map indicating T2 effect and vasogenic edema. Follow up MR in 2 cases 2 months later showed more prolongation of T1 and T2 than the first time and the lesion manifested iso-intensity signal on DWI and high signal intensity on ADC map suggesting increased diffusivity. Abnormal signal intensities were detected on the bilateral caudate head, globus pallidus, putamen and cerebral cortex in 3 cases. Conclusion CPM should be considered when prolongation of T1 and T2 with a shape of butterfly, round or quadrangle on the brain stem, sparing of the corticospinal tract and peripontine tissue was detected for patients of pest-transplantation. When combined with other area abnormality, EPM and CPM should be considered. DWI can early and sensitively show the lesion.

This study analysed the tissue specific expression of critical genes involved in chlorogenic acid and luteolin biosynthesis, for exploiting the molecular mechanism of components biosynthesis in Lonicera confusa. Expression of PAL, 4CL, C4H, CHS, CHI, FNS and HQT gene families of chlorogenic acid and luteolin biosynthesis-related genes in buds and leaves of L. confusa were analyed by Real-time PCR. Expressions of PAL1, C4H1, 4CL1, CHS1, CHI3 and HQT2 in buds were lower than that in leaves, and expressions of PAL3, 4CL2, CHI2 and FNS2 in buds were higher than that in leaves. The results indicated that that PAL3 and 4CL2 may be associated with accumulation of chlorogenic acid, and the expression patterns of PAL1, CHS1, CHI3 and HQT2 in buds and leaves of L. confusa were different with L. japonica. This study provided some theoretical basis for the further research on genetic mechanism of active components differences in L. confusa and L. japonica.

OBJECTIVETo study the correlation between arachidonic acid (AA) and acute red blood cells damage in rats, and to build a model with hidden blood loss in vivo, and to explore the pathological mechenism of hidden blood loss.
METHODSA total of 50 male adult Sprague-Dawley rats weighing (200 ± 20) g were randomly divided into five groups (n = 10): control group and four experimental groups. The rats in the experimental groups were given 0.5 ml different concentrations of AA dilu- ents, 5, 10, 20, 40 mmol/L respectively. The blood samples were collected from orbital venous at the beginning and 24, 48, 72 hours after administration. Then the changes of hemoglobin (Hb) ,red blood cell count (RBC), glutathione peroxidase (GSH- PX) activity, total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) activity and hydrogen peroxide (H202) in the blood samples were tested.
RESULTSSignificant hidden blood loss occurred when the concentration was 10 mmol/L in the experimental group, with the RBC and Hb sharply reduced in blood samples. The Hb and RBC were reduced in all the experimental groups and control group at 24 hours after administration, while in the experimental groups they changed more obviously. The GSH-PX activity, T-SOD activity and H₂O₂were also significantly reduced in all groups, and the changes showed significant differences. The Hb and RBC were relatively stable in the control group and the experimental groups at 48 hours after administration; while GSH-PX activity, T-SOD activity and H₂O₂were all significantly decreased, and the changes in the experimental groups were more notable.
CONCLUSIONElevated levels of AA in the blood causes oxidative stress in the red blood cells, leading to the damage of red blood cells and hemoglobin, which is responsible for hidden blood loss.

Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2009;13(9):616-619
Objective To establish the method of testing immunoglobulin G (IgG) with Fc sialylation, and to investigate the clinical significance of IgG with Fc sialylation in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), especially in those with neuropsychiatric manifestations (NPSLE). Methods Seventy-five SLE including thirty patients with neuropsychiatric manifestations (NPSLE) and forty-five non-NPSLE patients, 30 rheuma-toid arthritis (RA) patients, 32 juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) patients and 41 healthy controls were recruited in this study. Standard method of testing lgG with Fc sialylation was established by a lectin based sandwiched enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The levels of IgG with Fc sailylation were assayed, and its clinical significance was evaluated. Results There were no difference in the levels of serum IgG with Fc sailylation in RA group (0.82±1.81) mg/ml, JIA group (0.69±1.30) mg/ml, healthy control group (0.64± 1.09) mg/ml, and the levels of IgG with Fc sailylation in SLE group (0.12±0.17) mg/ml (P<0.01), especially in NPSLE group [(0.03±0.03) mg/ml, P<0.01] was significantly lower than that of control groups. The perc-entage of IgG with Fc sialylation in control group (4.64±5.90)% were significantly higher than that in non-NPSLE (1.88±2.16)% (P<0.01) and in NPSLE (0.29±0.47)% (P<0.01). The percentage of IgG with Fc sial-ylation was negatively associated with SLEDAI score (r=-0.43, P<0.01). Conclusion Significantly low level of serum IgG with Fc sialylation was associated with disease activity in SLE patients, especially in NPSLE patients, lgG with Fc sialylation may be a new target for therapeutic strategy.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(19):-
Objective To explore the role and significance of free radicle in the pathophsiological mechanisms of diabetic cystopathy(DCP).Methods The detrusor strip contraction experiments were performed and observed in the group of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) rats at different time stages and the control group. The bladder tissue samples was made into homogenate, and the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA) were determined. Results The minimum stretch forces to induce the detrusor contractions in T2DM group were larger than the control group.Compared with the control group, the detrusor contractive frequency was higher in the period of 0 to 16 weeks, but was lower after the 20th week. The maximum detrusor contractive forces in the T2DM group showed a descended tendency with the elapse of the experiment time.In the bladder homogenate of the control group, the activities of SOD was declined after reaching the peak at the stage of 8th week, and then escalated at the stage of 24th week.As for the T2DM group, the activities of SOD became higher in the 4th week, than descended at the stage of 8th and 24th weeks. The contents of MDA in both groups showed descended tendency. In T2DM group,MDA became even lower than the control group in the 4th week and became higher than the control group in the 8th week. The ratio of SOD/ MDA in T2DM group was lower than the control group. In details, the ratio of SOD/MDA in T2DM group rose significantly in the 4th week, while declined in the 8th week. There was a negative correlation between the maximum detrusor contractive force and detrusor contractive frequency, and a positive correlation between the maximum detrusor contractive force and the contents of MDA.Conclusion The destrusor functions are impaired by Diabetes Mellitus. In the initial stage of DCP,the bladder functions are normal, because the detrusor had a high ability to remove the free radicle. In the progression stage of DCP,the bladder functions become decompensation, because the organism is seriously injured by the free radicle. So the impairment by free radicle is one of important mechanisms of destrusor impairment of diabetic cystopathy.

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of overseas imported malaria reported in Chongqing City from 2011 to 2015,so as to provide the evidence for improving the imported malaria control strategies. Methods The epi-demiological data of overseas imported malaria cases were collected and analyzed descriptively for the species, original coun-tries,diagnosis and treatment in Chongqing City from 2011 to 2015. Results A total of 148 overseas imported malaria cases were reported in Chongqing City from 2011 to 2015,in which 96(65.54%)cases were falciparum malaria, and 37(24.32%) cases were vivax malaria;125(84.46%)cases were infected in Africa, and the rest of 23(15.54%)cases were infected in Southeast Asia. Most of the patients were 30 to 50 years old male workmen, and the ratio of male to female was 11.42:1. There was no obvious seasonal distribution among the reported timelines of the cases;however, there were two small peaks from June to August and from January to February. The median interval time of imported malaria cases from malaria onset to see a doctor was 1 day and from seeing the doctor to get malaria diagnosis was 2 days. The patients'first selected institutions were county medical institutions(50 cases,33.78%),then provincial medical institutions(36 cases,24.325%)and private doctors(20 cases,13.51%),and only 79(53.38%)patients got malaria diagnoses in their first selected institutions. The standard treatment were provided to 142(95.54%)cases. There were 43(29.05%)patients had serious complications and three patients were dead. Conclusion It is very important to enhance the multi-sector's collaboration to establish the collaborative investigation mechanism for screening malaria patients, and strengthen malaria health education for overseas workers and training courses in primary care medical institutions.
