Objective To improve the understanding of primary pulmonary artery sarcoma(PAS)and its early diagnosis and treatment.Methods The clinical data of 3 PAS patients in Beijing Anzhen Hospital and related literature,the clinical features,diagnosis and therapy of the disease were retrospectively studied.Results Pulmonary artery sarcoma had similar clinical presentations to pulmonary thromboembolism(PTE).Although CT pulmonary angiography and Color Doppler echocardiography etc were helpful to the diagnosis of the entity,the confirmed diagnosis needed the operation.The surgery was main therapy for the disease.Conclusion Pulmonary artery sarcoma is easily misdiagnosed as PTE.The clinicians should pay more attention to the disease so as to early diagnose and treat it.

Objective To assess the value and safety of SonoVue in ultrasonic diagnosis of abdominal diseases. Methods A total of 204 patients (149 male, 55 female) with abdominal examination of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) with SonoVue from August 2007 to February 2009 were reviewed. Results Definitive diagnosis were obtained 215 times in 204 patients (233 times) with abdominal CEUS. The diagnostic accuracy of CEUS was 92.27%, significant higher than that of conventional ultrasonography (62.23%). Anaphylactic shock happened 1 time (0.43%) in 1 patient. Conclusion CEUS with SonoVue can provide a high diagnostic accuracy with relatively safety of the possibility of serious adverse event.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the involvement of miR-34a in cerebral cortex mediated anti-hyperalgesic effect of electroacupuncture (EA) in mice with neuropathic pain induced by chronic constriction injury (CCI) of sciatic nerve, so as to reveal its mechanisms underlying improvement of neuropathic pain. METHODS: A total of 75 male C57BL/6 mice were equally randomized into 3 groups: sham, CCI model and CCI+EA (n=25 in each group). Mice of the sham group received simple separation of the right sciatic nerve without ligation. The CCI model was established by liagation of the right sciatic nerve. EA (2 Hz /15 Hz, 1 mA) was applied to bilateral "Zusanli" (ST36) and "Sanyinjiao" (SP9) for 30 min, once every other day. The mechanical and thermal pain threshold of the bilateral hind-paws was detected at the 3rd, 5th and 7th day after modeling, and the expression of miR-34a of bilateral cerebral cortex tissues and that of p53 protein of the left cerebral cortex were determined by using quantitive real time PCR and Western blot, respectively. RESULTS: The mechnical paw withdrawal frequency were significantly higher and the thermal paw withdrawal latencies (PWLs) were significantly shorter at the affected hind-limb (rather than at the healthy hind limb) on day 3, 5 and 7 in the CCI model group than those in the sham group (P<0.05), and considerably reversed at the affected hind-limb (rather than at the healthy hind limb) in the EA group than in the CCI model group (P<0.05), suggesting an analgesic effect of EA intervention. After modeling, the expression levels of miR-34a and p53 on day 3, 5 and 7 were significantly up-regulated in the left cerebral cortex tissue (rather than in the right cerebral cortex) of the CCI model group in comparison with the sham group (P<0.05). After EA intervention, the up-regulated expression levels of miR-34a and p53 in the left cerebral cortex tissue (rather than in the right cerebral cortex) were obviously suppressed in the EA group relevant to the CCI model group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: EA stimulation of ST36 and SP9 can down-regulate the expression of miR-34a and p53 in the contra-lateral cerebral cortex tissue of the CCI mice, which may contribute to its anti-hyperalgesic effect.

To investigate the metabolic rate and metabolites of 9-dehydro-17-dehydro-andrographolide, which is the main active ingredient in Xiyanping injection, by using the in vitro rat liver microsome incubation system. 9-dehydro-17-dehydro-andrographolide was incubated together with liver microsome mixed with NADPH. Its metabolic rate was studied by determining its residual concentrations with the UHPLC-MS/MS method; Its metabolites were identified by the UPLC-TOF-MS(E) method. The results showed that 9-dehydro-17-dehydro-andrographolide was metabolized faster than rat liver microsomes mixed with coenzymes, with t½ and CL of (19.7 ± 0.5) min and (35.1 ± 0.8) mL x min(-1) x g(-1) (protein), respectively. Based on the high resolution mass spectrum data and information from literatures, altogether nine metabolites of 9-dehydro-17-dehydro-andrographolide were identified in the incubation system, particularly hydroxylated and dehydrogenized products. The results of identification would provide a basis for screening out more active andrographolide derivatives.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effects of all-ceramic veneers in clinic fabricated by computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system and veneered with Vita VM9.

METHODS54 all-ceramic veneers were made for 12 patients. The patients were divided into three groups: Tetracycline staining group, fluorosis group and devitalization group. The color of patients' teeth was checked before and after laminates with Shade Eye. All-ceramic veneers was checked on the white background and abutment background. The value of L*, a* and b* were calculated to compare the color difference among 3 groups. The color, fitness and fracture of all-ceramic veneers were checked in clinic after restoration every 3 months.

RESULTSAll-ceramic veneers as a replacement for discolored teeth showed good appearance. The substructures and veneers showed significant color difference between white background and abutment background in tetracycline staining group and devitalization group, but there was no significant color difference in fluorosis group. All veneers had good esthetic effect, excellent marginal fit, good gingival and adjacent condition. The fracture was not found in clinic.

CONCLUSIONThe effects of all-ceramic veneers were perfect in color, fitness and stability to fracture. Fluorosis teeth is the best indication for all-ceramic veneers. To tetracycline teeth and devital teeth, the fundic porcelain with deep color should be chosen, or an opaquing material be applied as fundus in all-ceramic veneers repairing.

Saccharmyces cerevisiae 220 has certain resistance to Pb2+ was found through the test of it's cultured on media containing lead cation. Sacchannyces cerevisiae 220 cultured was put into the media cotaining lead cation and it's biosorp-tion to lead cation was studied. The results show this strain has maximum biosorption ratio (96.6%) to 6mg/L lead cation, biosorption-equilibrilium period is 25-30min, biosorption kinitics equation is q-26.318C/ (1 + 0.437C) . Acetic acid is benefit to de-biosorption, glucose and KH2PO4 can improve biosorption ratio to lead cation.

Cooperation hydrogen production was carried out using Rhodopseudomonas sp. DT and Enterobacter aerogenes. The effects of the initial ratio of Rhodopseudomonas sp. DT and E. aerogenes, culture temperature, and carbon source on the cooperation hydrogen production were investigated. The results suggested that cooperation hydrogen production rate was highly affected by the initial ratio of Rhodopseudomonas sp. DT and E. aerogenes. The mixed bacteria of Rhodopseudomonas sp. DT and E. aerogenes with 1:1 initial ratio benefited to the cooperation hydrogen production, which led the hydrogen production rate and duration of gas production to 3.1 mol H2/mol glucose and 81 h, respectively. The pH dynamics analysis of culture medium further discovered that the pH of the mixed bacteria with 1:1 initial ratio changed from 6 to 7 smaller than other conditions, which was probably fitted to produce hydrogen. Furthermore, the mixed bacteria with 1:1 initial ratio had the higher hydrogen production efficiency at temperatures of 28?C and 37?C than at 20?C, and without any hydrogen production at temperature of 50?C. The carbon sources of glucose, succinate acid, malic acid could be used to produce hydrogen by the mixed bacteria. Even the soluble starch, unused by Rhodopseudomonas sp. DT, was also decomposed by the mixed bacteria to produce hydrogen with the conversion efficiency of 8.22%. The glucose was the optimal carbon resource, and the conversion efficiency could reach to 36.11%. The results, further, implied that the cooperation hydrogen production could enlarge the use of the carbon sources.

Objective To investigate the association between methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) and myocardial infarction (MI) in the Chinese Han ethnicity. Methods 432 patients suffered from myocardial infarction and 430 controls were involved for case and control groups, respectively. Nine tag SNPs in MTAP gene were selected and genotyped. Results We found no significant association of selected tag SNPs with MI in all of the samples. However, in stratified analysis, significant association was observed at rs7027989 in male subjects. The risk of MI increased by 26% (P=0.005) for male subjects of minor allele carriers in a dominant model. The increased risk of MI at rs7027989 remained significant after adjusting for confounding factors. Conclusion MTAP gene might be involved in the etiology of MI in Chinese Han ethnicity.

Objective To explore the mechanical testing technique suitable for biological materials under water environment. Methods Based on digital image correlation (DIC) method, the unique lens sleeves which can avoid the distortion caused by underwater photography was designed, and this technique was applied to determining mechanical properties of the fish scales. Results The experiment on translation of the water sink indicated that the use of the designed lens sleeves could effectively reduce errors for underwater measurement with high precision; the mechanical testing on fish scales showed that different regions of the fish scales had obviously different mechanical properties, but the differences induced by regions of the dehydrated fish scales were significantly reduced. Conclusions The designed lens sleeves in this study can be applied to image acquisition effectively, and determination of mechanical properties of the biological materials under water environment was achieved using DIC method.
