of left and right side cerebral cortical veins was 159.16(154.88-164.13)ppb(× 10-9), 164.61(156.23-168.04) ppb, respectively. The median susceptibility (extent) of left and right side thalamostriate veins was 160.51 (152.14-170.06) ppb, 162.48(153.47-173.66)ppb, respectively. Left were less than the right, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-3.14,-2.02, P<0.05). And the difference of two side of other cerebral venous susceptibility had no statistical significance. The median susceptibility (extent) of right cerebral cortical veins, left thalamostriate veins and right septal veins of 22 male was 166.22(159.21-169.99) ppb, 168.65(159.19-174.45)ppb and 153.42(148.10-161.78)ppb, respectively. The coresponding positions of median susceptibility (extent) of 38 female was 161.10(155.06-167.15)ppb, 157.70(151.53-164.41)ppb and 147.52(142.94- 154.16)ppb, respectively. The susceptibility of right cerebral cortical vein, left thalamostriate vein, right septal vein of male was significantly different from the females (Z=-2.03,-2.20,-2.33, P<0.05). Futhermore, we also found that there had positive correlation between age and right thalamostriate vein(r=0.28,P<0.05). Conclusion The magnetic sensitive of the right thalamostriate vein tends to increase along with the age, and some of peoples had difference with bilateral and age.

Journal of China Medical University 2015;(2):127-131,142
Objective To explore the influence of fenofibrate on apoptosis of human renal proximal tubular cells(HK?2)induced by free fatty acid (FFAs). Methods Methyl azo thiazole blue(determined by MTT)was applied for detection of HK?2 cell proliferation capacity;Spectrophotometry was used to determine the expression of MDA and SOD;MCP?1 and IL?8 in culture supernatant of cells were detected by ELISA;Real?time PCR and Western blot were used to evaluate mRNA and protein expression of Bax and Bcl?2 respectively. Results FFAs inhibited HK?2 cell prolifera?tion in a dose and time dependence. mRNA and protein expression of Bax significantly increased compared with control, but mRNA and protein ex?pression of Bcl?2 decreased. After preincubation of fenofibrate, the inhibition of HK?2 cell proliferation by FFAs was alleviated;expression of SOD increased and expression of MDA,MCP?1 and IL?8 were decreased;mRNA and protein expression of Bax was significantly decreased, but mRNA and protein expression of Bcl?2 was increased. Conclusion FFAs can induce apoptosis of renal proximal tubular cell in a dose and time dependent manner. Fenofibrate can inhibite HK?2 cell apoptosis by decreasing oxidative stress, inhibiting inflammation,up?regulating expression of Bcl?2 and down?regulating expression of Bax,which alleviated nephrotoxicity of FFAs.

OBJECTIVETo systematically optimize the cultivation conditions of adventitious roots of Pseudostellaria heterophylla.
METHODTissue cultivation technology and ultraviolet spectrophotometry were adopted to observe the effect of inoculum volume, sucrose concentration, inorganic salt concentration, number of cultivation days, gradual scale-up cultivation and bubble different angles of bioreactor on the growth of adventitious roots of P. heterophylla, and determine the content of constituents such as saponin, polysaccharide and amino acid.
RESULTThe propagation multiple of adventitious roots reached the maximum when the inoculum was 6 g in a 1 L culture shake flask. With the increase in sucrose concentration, the dry weight propagation multiples of adventitious roots followed an up and down trend. The inorganic salt concentration in a cultivation dish had a greater effect on the growth of adventitious roots, particularly 3/4 MS was the most favorable for the growth of adventitious roots. The growth curve of P. heterophylla was "S", with the biomass reaching the maximum at the 28th day.
CONCLUSIONThe inoculum volume, sucrose concentration, inorganic salt concentration, gradual scale-up cultivation and angles of bubble bioreactor had a significant effect on the growth of adventitious roots of P. heterophylla. The contents of saponin and amino acid in adventitious roots were higher than that in cultivated P. heterophylla, whereas the polysaccharide content were lower than that in cultivated P. heterophylla.

AIM: To study the effects of apolipoprotein (apo) A-Ⅰon ATP binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) degradation and cholesterol efflux in THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells. METHODS: After exposure of the cultured THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells to apolipoprotein A-Ⅰ for different time, cholesterol efflux, ABCA1 mRNA and protein level were determined by liquid scintillation counting, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting, respectively. The mean ABCA1 fluorescence intensity on THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells was detected by flow cytometry. RESULTS: ApoA-Ⅰ markedly increased ABCA1-mediated cholesterol efflux from THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells. This was accompanied by an increase in the content of ABCA1. ApoA-Ⅰ did not alter ABCA1 mRNA abundance. Thiol protease inhibitors increased the level of ABCA1 protein and slowed its decay in THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells, whereas none of the proteosome-specific inhibitor lactacystin, other protease inhibitors, or the lysosomal inhibitor NH_4Cl showed such effects. The apoA-Ⅰ mediated cellular cholesterol efflux was enhanced by thiol protease inhibitors. CONCLUSION: Thiol protease inhibitors might provide an alternative way to upregulate ABCA1 protein. This strategy is especially appealing since it may mimic the stabilizing effect of the natural ligands apoA-Ⅰ.

OBJECTIVETo study cultivation of Panax ginseng adventitious roots in bubble bioreactors.
METHODThe adventitious roots were obtained through tissue culture different types of bioreactors. The contents of ginsenosides Re, Rb1 and Rg1 were determined by HPLC while the contents of polysaccharides were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.
RESULTThe results showed that of the three types tested, the most efficient bioreactor for cultivation of the ginseng adventitious roots was the cone-type bioreactors (with the 120 degrees ), in which, the growth curve of adventitious roots was S-shaped. The maximum biomass was obtained on the 40th day, with the fresh weight, dry weight and growth rate reaching the maximum, which were 113.15 g, 9.62 g and 63.13 times respectively, and the concomitant contents of polysaccharide and ginsenoside were 2.73% and 2.25 mg x g(-1).
CONCLUSIONThe results showed that the most efficient bioreactor for cultivation of the ginseng adventitious roots was the cone-type bioreactors (with the 120 degrees). These results provide a theoretical reference for developing an efficient production process of active metabolites of ginseng in the scale-up cultivation.
