1.Study on Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci Carried by Intestinal Tract in Different People Groups
Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
512?g/mL; MIC of 16 VIE to vancomycin were 16?g/mL; MIC of 8 VIE to vancomycin were 8?g/mL. It is a risk factor for hospital infection that VRE carriage of inpatients in intestinal tract is high. There is 100% agreement be-tween phenotypes and genotypes in 46 vancomycin resistance enterococci. VRE are multiresistant. Part iso-lates have high homology.

ObjectiveTo explore the new rehabilitation model of medication combined with education of cerebral palsy.MethodsThe cross-professionals were organized to assess and observe 126 children with cerebral palsy. Then, individual education plan (IEP) combined with medication, family, feeding was made and performed.ResultsAfter educational rehabilitation, the children with cerebral palsy got improvement in intellection, social adaptation, communion aspiration, thinking and etc. They became more cooperated in medical rehabilitation.ConclusionInterdisciplinary cooperation, IEP, participation of parents are the conditions for success of medical rehabilitation combined with education.

OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical effect of Huatan Zhuyu Jiedu Decoction (HZJD) in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
METHODSOne hundred AS patients were randomly divided into two groups, the 60 patients in the treated group were treated with HZJD, the 40 patients in the control group were treated with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction. Treatment for both groups was orally given 1 dose per day in decoction form for 1 month as a treatment course. The efficacy of treatment was evaluated after 1-3 treatment courses.
RESULTSThe effect of treatment in the treated group was short-term controlled in 12 patients, markedly effective in 29, improved in 16 and ineffective in 3, the total effective rate was 95% (57 cases), while in the control group, the corresponding figure was 2, 8, 20, 10 and 75% (30 cases), comparison between the two groups showed significant difference (chi 2 = 20.85, P < 0.01). The manifestation of symptoms of patients in both groups improved obviously, the pain in loin and back alleviated, spinal motion (flexion forward, extension backward and lateral inclination) improved and thoracic expansion increased. Laboratory indices such as ESR, C3, IgA and CRP reduced obviously after treatment (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05), and better effect was shown in the treated group (P < 0.05). X-ray film after treatment showed improvement in 11 cases in the treated group and 4 in the control group, inter-group comparison showed significant difference (chi 2 = 7.99, P < 0.01), the effect of HZJD was better than that of the control.
CONCLUSIONHZJD has definite therapeutic effect in treating AS.

Hypertension is one of main risk factors for the occurrence and death of stroke and coronary heart disease. Its prevalence rate is rising year by year. It severely threatens the health of the human beings. The acupuncture method of "activating blood and dispersing wind, harmonizing Gan-Pi" for treating hypertension launched by Academician SHI Xue-min has aroused great attention due to good cur- ative effect and less adverse reactions. In this paper principles of the circular motion covered by the acupuncture method of "activating blood and dispersing wind, harmonizing Gan-Pi" were clarified.

Objective To study the clinical application of the peak expiratory flow rate( PEFR) in children with asthma. Methods The PEFRs of 43 cases of asthma at the acute stage were measured to guide the clinical grading and therapy by the optimum individual PEFR of the patients at the remission stage, and the descending rate and warning value of individual PEFR were determined to investigate the relationship between the individual PEFR descending rate and the asthma attack conditions in the standard and nonstandard monitoring groups. Results At the asthma attack stage, the clinical symptoms became severe with PEFR declining; at the remission stage, the preventive application of drugs was based on the changes of the individual PEEF descending rate . The case number and frequency of asthma attack and the cases subjected to moderate or severe attacks in the standard group were 15 %,23.5 % and 25 % respectively; while those in the nonstandard group were 43.5 %, 75.5 % and 76.9 % respectively, which showed a significant difference( P

Objective To study the expression of mdm2 genes in nephroblastoma in children and relationship between mdm2 gene and clinical pathological parameters. Methods The protein expressions of mdm2 in 24 cases of nephroblastoma were detected with S-P immunohistochemical method. The relationships between mdm2 expression and clinicopathological parameters were analyzed. Results The positive rates of mdm2 in 24 cases of nephroblastoma were correlated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and tumor differentiation. There was a positive relationship between mdm2 protein expression and clinicopathological parameters such as lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and degree of differentiation(P

Objective To analyze the tendency of road traffic injuries and explore its main influencing factors in China from 1997 to 2016, so as to provide references for decision-making of prevention and control. Methods Data was collected from national data website. Annual percent change (APC) and average annual percent change (AAPC) were calculated and trend tests were performed by Joinpoint Regression Program 4.6.0.0. Results The overall trend of the indexes was basically the same, reaching the highest record in 2002. The following downward tendency was different and tended to level off after 2009. However, the forecast showed that the fatality of road traffic accidents would increase slightly in recent years. For different road traffic modes, only the average annual percent change of motor vehicle injuries statistically descended (AAPC=-1.83, Z=-2.23, P=0.026). The average annual decreases of non-motor vehicle deaths were statistically significant (AAPC=-1.98, Z=-2.47, P=0.014), and the number of injured showed a notable upward trend instead (AAPC=3.95, Z=5.16, P<0.001). The indexes of walking and riding were declined markedly (AAPC≥7.90, P<0.001). Conclusions The status of walking and riding had been improved significantly, but motor vehicles injuries were still the main traffic mode causing road traffic injuries. The safety situation of non-motor vehicles was increasingly serious. Adopting legal compulsory measures and other intervention to routine systematic management was quite necessary.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the bacterial distribution and drug resistance in patients in intensive care unit(ICU) and provide theoretical bases for rational usage of antibiotics.METHODS The distribution and drug resistance of 372 strains isolated from patients in ICU collected from Jul 2007 to Jun 2008 were investigated and studied retrospectively.RESULTS Among them, the Gram-negative bacilli covered 59.14 %,the Gram-positive cocci 28.49%,and the fungi covered 12.37%.Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Klebsiella,Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Ancinetobacter were the main Gram-negative bacilli.Staphylococcus aureus,coagulation-negative Staphylococcus and Enterococcus were the main Gram-positive cocci. The resistance rate of P.aeruginosa,S.maltophilia and Acinetobacter to imipenem was over 10%,and the S.maltophilia was 96.7%,the resistance rate of three main Gram-positive cocci to vancomycin and teicoplanin was zero, and the isolated bacteria showed serious multidrug-resistance.CONCLUSIONS Periodic monitoring should be done to learn the drug resistance and bacterial distribution in ICU in order to rationally use antibiotics to avoid the generation of new drug resistant strains and control the infection of patients in ICU.
