Teaching ability is the comprehensive embodiment of expertise and personal cultivation,and it is closely related to teaching results.The teaching ability of teachers in the field of traumatology and orthopedics of TCM is developed in their practice of clinical work and teaching practice,which reflects the efficiency and quality of their classroom teaching and clinical teaching.The elements of teaching ability in the field of traumatology and orthopedics of TCM should be strengthened by approaches such as professionalism,the ability of teaching design,the expertise of modem educational technology and professional dedication.

Objective To investigate the prevalence, accessory gene regulator (agr) and staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec, only for methicillin resistantS. aureus, MRSA) types of theS. aureus strains carrying toxic shock syndrome toxin-1 (tst) and/or panton-valentine leukocidin (pvl) genes.Methods Nine hundred and sixteen isolates ofS. aureus were collected from seven hospitals in Shanghai and Zhejiang Province and subjected to detection oftst,pvl,mecA andmecC genes by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Theagr and SCCmec (only for MRSA) types were determined in thetst orpvl gene positive isolates.Results Of the 916 isolates, 208 carriedtst gene (22.7%), 35 harboredpvl gene (3.8%), and 665 weremecA positive (MRSA). No isolate was mecC positive. Out of the 665 MRSA isolates, 198 hosted thetst gene (29.8%). The most commonagr and SCCmec types were agr 2 (97.0%) and SCCmec II (94.4%), respectively. For thepvl gene, only 14 isolates were positive (2.1%). Theagr 1 (85.7%), SCCmecIII (42.9%) and SCCmec IVa (28.6%) were the most commonagr type and SCCmec type. In the 251 methicillin-sensitiveS. aureus (MSSA) isolates, 10 carriedtst gene (4.0%) and 21 carriedpvl gene (8.4%). The prevalence oftst gene in MRSA was higher than that in MSSA, while the prevalence ofpvlgene was just the opposite. However, the prevalence ofpvlgene in MRSA isolates from Zhejiang Province was higher than that in the MRSA isolates from Shanghai (P<0.05).Conclusions The prevalence oftst gene in MRSA is signiifcantly higher than that in MSSA. The prevalence ofpvlgene is low in theS. aureus isolates studied. However, clinicians should pay close attention to these strains due to the implication of PVL toxin in some
severeS. aureus infections.

ObjectiveTo study the clinical features, arterial involvement, therapeutic strategies and outcomes of Takayasu arteritis (TA). MethodsThe clinical symptoms, arterial images, inflammatory parameters and follow-up information of 173 patients with TA were retrospectively studied. Comparisons between groups were performed by t-test. ResultsThere were 136 female and 37 male patients in this study. The mean age at onset was(26±11 ) years. Hypertension, pulse deficit or asymmetrical pulse, and fever were present in 46.6％, 41.1％, 28.7％ of patients, respectively. The distribution of arterial involvement were 64.7％in aorta, 9.8％ in pulmonary artery, 19.1％ in innominate artery, 65.9％ in common carotid arteries, 65.3％in the subclavian artery, 36.2％ in the renal artery, 12.1％ in the vertebral artery, and 5.8％ in coeliac axis.Elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) was found in 61.0％ patients. Active tuberculosis or history of tuberculosis was implicated in 45 patients(26.0％). Ten patients(5.8％) were hepatitis B virus carriers.Among 105 followed-up patients, 98 patients(94.2％) achieved persistent remission, 17 patients relapsed when corticosteroids were tapered. ConclusionCorticosteroids combined with or steroid alone, supplemented with endovascular intervention procedures or surgical bypass procedures when necessary, can effectively control the clinical symptoms and inflammatory parameters and improve the quality of life of patients.

Objective To explore the alterations of protein phosphatase-2A (PP-2A) in lymphocytes in mild cognition impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods The activity PP-2A of was measured by ~(32)p liquid seintillography for incorporated radioactivity in control group(n=11) , the MCI group(n=11),and the AD group(n=11).The expression of PP-2A was determined by Western blot.Results In the control group,the activity of PP-2A (1.01?0.09) and the expression of PP-2A (0.96?0.07) were high while in the MCI group,the activity of PP-2A (0.71?0.12) and the expression of PP-2A (0.80?0.05) were decreased (both P
