2.Relapse Factors of Acute Central Nervous System Inflammatory Demyelinating Disease in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To explore influential factors and features of relapse of presenting with an initial episode of acute central nervous system inflammatory demyelinating disease(IDDCNS) in children. Methods By group-control study,20 relapsing patients with IDDCNS compared with 50 single episoding patients with IDDCNS whose case history longer than 0.5 year, whose age at onset, gender, preceding infection or immunization, neurologic syndromes at presentation, therapeutic response, and final neurologic outcome after initial episode were analyzed by mono-factor analysis and multi-factor nonconditional Logistic regression model. Results 1.The risk of relapse increased in the near future,75.0% relapsed before 6 months. There were 18 cases diagnosed multiple sclerosis(MS),1 case neurooptic myelitis and 1 case immaturity myelitis in relapsing patients. There were 39 cases diagnosed acute disseminated encephalomyelitis in single episoding patients.2.Mono-factor analysis:8 factors were not statistically significant, including age at onset, gender, seizure, palsy, conscious disturbance, ataxia, natural relief, sequelae after the first attack;6 factors were statistically significant, including infectious or vaccination agents before episode, fever, visual disorder, multiple neurological signs, positive pathologic reflex, with marked improvement to cortical hormone.3.In the multi-factor stepwise regression analysis, visual disorder(OR=42.50)and positive pathologic reflex(OR=8.666)were the independent influencing factors, multiple neurological signs(OR=0.068)was independent protecting factor. Conclusions The rate of relapse in IDDCNS is lower than abroad and most relapse before 0.5 year, the main diagnosis of relapsing case is MS.When visual disorder and positive pathologic reflex presenting in the fist episode of IDDCNS,the opportunity of relapse will increase, and will decrease when multiple neurological signs presenting.

BACKGROUND: Primary progressive aphasia(PPA) is a degenerative disease of nervous system, which is very rare in clinics. Only 3 cases have been reported in our country. There is very little clinical information regarding the characteristics of PPA in linguistics and imageology.OBJECTIVE: To report the language disorder and the characteristics of imageology of one PPA patient for the clarification of the clinical features of PPA.DESIGN: A case analysis.SETTING: Department of Neurology, Beijing Tiantan Hospital; Faculty of Psychology, Beijing Normal University.PATICIPANT: Male, 56 years old, senior high school graduate, businessman before the onset of the disease. The case visited the department of Neurology,Tiantan Hospital, Beijing due to the complaint of three years of progressive decreasing in language skills, which was then diagnosed with PPA.METH ODS: Spoken language fluency evaluation in Chinese Aphasia Examination Set of the First Affiliated Hospital of Beijing Medical University was used to evaluate this patient, the type of Aphasia was judged by Western Aphasia Examination Set, and the severity gradation was classified by the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination(BDAE) . Memory, intelligence screening and imageology examination were performed as well.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The fluency of spoken language, the type of aphasia, and the severity of aphasia of the patient were judged, and whether the patient suffered from memory and intelligence disorder were observed as well as the features of imageology.RESULTS: The patient had fluent spoken language, which was evaluated as sensory aphasia(SA) with the aphasia severity of level 4, and had no memory or intelligence disorder. MRI showed atrophy in left frontal lobe and temporal lobe, which was more significant in left side. MRI also showed that left temporal and frontal lobes had low metabolism and low perfusion.CONCLUSION: PPA is a disease with language disorder as its dominant clinical manifestation, which no other cognitive disorder at its initial stage, and with its main pathological changes in left temporal and frontal lobes.

Abstract:Objective To analyse the level of measles antibody and serological susceptibility of the enterprise employees in Jin⁃
shan District,Shanghai in 2019,to provide references for measles prevention and control of enterprise employees. Methods
A total of 1 796 employees were selected from 6 enterprises in Jinshan District by using a stratified random sampling method,of
which serum samples from intravenous blood were collected and determined for IgG antibody level of measles by ELISA. Geo⁃
metric mean concentration(GMC)of measles IgG antibody, antibody positive rate and antibody protection rate were calculated
and the susceptibility factors of measles in enterprise employees were analyzed by using the unconditional multivariate Logistic
regression model. Results The GMC of measles antibody in 1 796 monitoring objects was 639. 71 mIU/mL,the positive rate
was 87. 58% and the protection rate was 29. 06%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the odds ratio(OR)of
measles susceptibility was 1. 55(95% CI:1. 14 ~ 2. 12)in native subjects compared with non⁃resident subjects,while 2. 35
(95% CI:1. 35 ~ 4. 08)in subjects aged 40 ~ 49 years compared with those aged ≥ 50 years. Conclusion In 2019,the
measles antibody level of enterprise employees in Jinshan District of Shanghai was low,and people aged 40 ~ 49,especially the
nativeadults,wereathighriskofsusceptibilitytomeasles. Supplementaryimmunizationwithmeaslesvaccineshouldbecarried

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(4):298-300
ObjectiveTo investigate the rule of changes of the soleus mass and expression of myosin heavy chain (MHC) isoforms mRNA.Methods40 female Wistar rats were divided randomly into the control group and three spinal cord transection (ST) groups, ST7, ST15, and ST30 with 10 animals in each group. Rats in ST groups were subjected to a complete ST between T8 and T10 levels. The right soleus was dissected and weighed at 7, 15, 30 days after ST, and the expression of MHC mRNA isoforms was measured by semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).ResultsThe Absolute and relative soleus masses in three ST groups were lower significantly than those of control group (P<0.05). The soleus mass in ST15 and ST30 groups were lower than that of ST7 group (P<0.05). The soleus of control group predominantly expressed MHC-I and some MHC-IIa, whereas the soleus began to express MHC-IIx and MHC-IIb after ST, except for MHC-I and MHC-IIa. ST induced consistently down-regulation of MHC-I mRNA and up-regulation of MHC-IIx and MHC-IIa at three time points after ST. The level of MHC-IIb mRNA expression was very low at three time points after ST.ConclusionST can influence the soleus mass at early stage after ST. ST induces a shift toward a faster muscle phenotype from slow to fast MHC isoform. MHC demonstrates plasticity in response to decrease neuromuscular activation.

To understand Lophatherum gracile plant community's structural characteristics, a survey of community structure and species diversity was conducted through quadrat sampling in Yongchuan district of Chongqing. The results showed that there were 386 species vascular plants, belonging to 117 families and 229 genera. Based on habitat, community structure and species composition, L. gracile were found in three community types: Pinus massoniana community, banboo community, shurb community. Vertical structure was composed of three layers, including tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer. Species in shrub layer was the richness. P. massoniana is the only dominant species of the community, it can not regenerate naturally, the shrub layer has a greater effect on the community of L. gracile in the future. In addition, the banboo community and shurb community is not stable because of human's activity. Therefore, the community characters of L. gracile should be taken care of conservation when the resources are utilized.

Objective To investigate the influence of murine cytomegalovirus(MCMV) infection on differentiation and differentiation gene expression of neural stem cells (NSCs) in vitro for studying the mechanisms of brain abnormalities calmed by congenital cytomegalovirns infection. Methods NSCs were separated from fetal BALB/c mouse and cultured and identified in vitro. The differentiation potency of NSCs was observed by immunnfluorescence. The NSCs infected by MCMV at dosage of multiplicity of infection (MOI) equaled to 5, I and 0. 1, respectively, were cultured in differentiation medium. The morphological changes of the cells were observed by inverted microscope. The ratios of NSCs and its differentiated cells were detected by flow cytometry. The expression changes of nestin, GFAP and NSE, markers of NSCs and its differentiated cells, were studied by immunofluorescence ( MOI = 1 ). The expression of early antigen (EA) of MCMV was detected to observe the infection process. Real-time RT-PCR method was employed to measure the expression levels of the key differentiation genes Wnt-3 and Wnt-7a in Wnt signal pathway of NSCs at early phage of differentiation culture. Results NSCs isolated from embryonic mouse brains could proliferate to form neurnspheres and strongly express Nestin and differentiate into NF-200 positive neurons or GFAP positive astrocytes. The NSCs of the infected groups couldn't adhere to the wall and appear differentia-tion growth, but showed swollen gradually after differentiation culture. The nostin expression of the infected groups downregulated slowly and was higher than that of the control groups ( P < 0.05 ). The GFAP and NSE expression of the infected groups were lower than that of the control groups (P <0.05). The EA of MCMV could be always detected in the cells of the infected groups. The ratios of nestin positive cells of the infected groups were higher than that of the control groups, but the ratios of GFAP and NSE positive cells of the for-mer were lower than that of the latter from 3rd to 9th day after differentiation culture ( P < 0.05 ). The levels of Wnt-3 mRNA and Wnt-7a mRNA of the infected groups were markedly lower than that of the control groups from 1st to 2nd clay and from 12th hour to 2nd day after differentiation culture respectively ( P < 0.05 ) . These changes of the infected groups became more obvious as MCMV MOI increased . Conclusion MCMV could inhibit significantly NSCs differentiate to neurons and astrocytes and lead to the decrease of dif-ferentiated cells. MCMV could inhibit or interfere with the gene expression of Wnt-3 and Wnt-7a in Wnt sig-nal pathway of NSCs. The effect that MCMV inhibited the differentiation and the differentiation gene expres-sion of NSCs showed dose-dependent with MCMV MOI. The inhibitory effect of MCMV on the differentiation of NSCs might be induced by interfering the differentiation gene expression of NSCs, which is possibly the one of primary causes of brain development disorders caused by congenital CMV infection.
