In this study, we use pot experiment to evaluate the effect of plant growth regulator on plant morphology and biomass allocation of Salvia miltiorrhiza. Different concentrations of uniconazole were supplied to S. miltioohiza by means of foliar spray. Height, breadth and stem diameter were measured dynamically, the biomass of leaf, stem, flower and fruit, root biomass and biomass ratio were also examined at the harvest time. Owing to the treatment, plant morphology showed significant changes, the height had been greatly reduced and the breadth decreased largely. Meanwhile, the biomass allocation changed too. The biomass ratio of leaf and stem had been notably reduced while the biomass ratio of root had been increased remarkably. It appears that foliar application of uniconazole during vigorous growth period in S. miltioohiza has dramatic effect on dwarfing plant and improving resistant to lodging. This measure could also be applied to condensed cultivation of S. miltioohiza to increase production.

Point "Siguan" is seen in the Miraculous Pivot: Jiuzhen Shieryuan for the first time. From then on the doctors of every dynasties cited point "Siguan" and explained its content. But the authors hold that their explanations do not conform with the meaning in the Huangdi's Internal Classic. Therefore, the authors put forward their explanations for point "Siguan" and indicate that correct understanding of point "Siguan" is very important for treatment of diseases of five-zang organs.

Objective To observe the hemodynamic change and stress reaction of target-con-trolled infusion (TCI)of propofol guided by Narcotrend for anesthetic induction in renal transplanta-tion patients.Methods Forty patients (25 males,1 5 females,aged 21-38 years,ASA grade Ⅲ orⅣ)undergoing related living donor kidney transplantation were randomly divided into two groups:group A and group B (n =20).Group A was induced using TCI system with propofol under the moni-toring of Narcotrend.Group B was induced with propofol manually.HR,MAP,Narcotrend index (NTI),blood glucose (Glu)and plasma cortisol (Cor)were measured before induction (T0 ),before tracheal intubation (T1 ),and 1 (T2 ),3 (T3 ),and 5 (T4 )minutes afterwards.Results HR and MAP at T1 were lower than those at T0 (P < 0.05 )in two groups,they were significantly lower in group B than in group A at corresponding points(P <0.05).HR and MAP in group B increased sig-nificantly (P <0.05)and were significantly higher than those in group A (P <0.05)at T2 and T3 . There was no obvious difference in Glu and Cor between T0 and T2-T4 in group A.Glu and Cor at T2-T4 were obviously higher than those at T0 (P <0.05)in group B and those at corresponding points in group A (P <0.05).Conclusion TCI of propofol guided by Narcotrend in renal transplantation pa-tients can better control the depth of anesthesia,attenuate the stress reaction caused by tracheal intu-bation,and keep hemodynamic smooth during anesthesia induction.

Objective To investigate the cause,prevention methods and curative effect on two different drainage methods of subcutaneous effusion after breast cancer surgery.Methods The clinical data of 68 cases subcutaneous effusion among 2 100 cases underwent breast cancer modified radical surgery in our hospitial were analyzed retrospectively from January 2010 to December 2016.The vacuum sealing drainage was performed in 1 032 cases and wound high negative pressure drainage system was performed in 1068 casess.Both the elastic bandage compresstion dressing didn't used.Results In 2 100 cases,68 cases of subcutaneous effusion occured (3.2％),including longitudinal incision 48 cases and transverse incision 20 cases.Among 1 068 cases of high negative pressure drainagesystem,subcutaneous effusion occured in 36 cases including 28 cases of incisional infection and 8 cases of skin flap necrosis.The extuhation time was 8-36 days,average 12 days.Among 1 032 cases of vacuum sealing drainage,subcutaneous effusion occured in 32 cases including 22 cases of incisional infection,10 cases of skin flap necrosis.The extubation time was 6-12 days,average 8 days.All cases were followed up for 3 months,no subcutaneous effusion and axillary effusion occurred.Conclusions Adequate drainage is the key to prevent subcutaneous effusion.Both vacuum sealing drainage and wound high negative pressure drainage can effectively reduce the occurrence of subcutaneous effusion,however,vacuum sealing drainage is more suitable for wounds with more exudation,larger lacuna and deeper incisions,especially the infected wound and abscess.

Objective To explore the attitudes towards the Smoking Ban policy and the bias in different levels of related society sanctions so as to provide evidence for implementing anti-smoking measures in the public places.Methods A multi-univariate-multilevel logistic model was developed to find the relation between penalty attitudes and the covariates' effects.Results 74.6％ (3647/4892) and 61.2％ (2994/4892) of the residents agreed to punish either the managers of public places or to the smokers.The two kinds of attitude were associated (x2 =1253.45,P＜0.0001 ).Residents being female,aged between thirty and fifty-nine years old,having had higher than college education,being non-current smokers,with high scores on knowledge of tobacco control,tended to have the attitude of punishing the public place managers and smokers.However,those persons exposed to everyday secondhand smoke or being non-current smokers,tended to punish the smokers in the generalized Wald test.Conclusion There was strong evidence noticed that most of the residents in Guangzhou had supported the ‘tobacco control penalty'.Factors as age,sex,level of education received,knowledge on hazards of smoking,being current smokers and under secondhand smoke exposure were the influencing factors.Non-current smokers and those who exposed to secondhand smoke everyday,would prefer to take different penalties policies.

Objective To investigate the treatment effects of operation and nerve growth factor on adult multisegmental cervical spinal cord injury without fracture dislocation.Methods Sixty-eight patients with multiple segmental cervical spinal cord injury without fracture dislocation,admitted to our hospital from January 2004 to May 2011,were chosen in our study; according to the will of the patients,18 patients received conservative treatment (group A),25 patients were treated by posterior single open-door laminoplasty (group B) and the other 25 patients were treated with posterior single open-door laminoplasty combined with nerve growth factor (group C,once daily for 4 weeks); their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed.Follow up was performed at 3,6 and 12 months after the treatments;Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scale was employed to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results Three,6,12 months after the treatments,the JOA scale scores were statistically different among the three groups (P＜0.05); the scores in group B and C were significantly higher than those in group A at all time points (P＜0.05); 6 and 12 months after the treatmemts,the JOA scale scores in group C were significantly higher than those in group B (P＜0.05).Conclusion To patients with multisegmental cervical spinal cord injury without fracture dislocation,conservative treatment can make the spinal cord function partially restored,but the effect is limited; exogenous nerve growth factor has good repairing effect on spinal cord injury.

Objective To analyze the awareness on health among high school students and its influencing factors in Guangdong. Methods Multi-stage sampling and questionnairs "2009 health awareness survey of the Chinese citizens" developed by our Department of Health, were used. Data were analyzed by multivariate multilevel model under MLwinN 2.19 software. Results The mean scores on knowledge and ideas, behaviors and related skills among 1606 high school students of Guangdong province, were 69.08 ± 14.81,60.05 ± 16.85 and 74.99 ± 21.17 respectively. Three items on health showed that they all related to each other and relations between grades (0.972,0.715 and 0.855) were greater than the individuals (0.565,0.426 and 0.438). Conclusion Factors as students from outside the Pearl River Delta region or from the rural areas, being male, at general secondary schools, at grade one, with poor academic performance and more pocket money etc., had lower levels on those related information of health.

The change in plasma ghrelin level after 4-and 12-week adjunctive therapy of rosiglitazones in type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled by sulphonylurea alone was observed and the relation between ghrelin and insulin resistance was analysed.The results showed that rosiglitazones significantly increased circulating ghrelin level and obviously decreased insulin resistance index after therapy for 4 and 12 weeks in type 2 diabetic patients.
