Objective To investigate the knowledge of chronic heart failure (CHF) and influencing factors in general practitioners (GP) in Beijing.Methods A self-designed questionnaire contained total 28 items,including basic knowledge of CHF,non-drug management,drug management and other management ; clinical cases were used to test clinical ability in 7 items.The questionnaire survey was conducted among GPs who participated in continuing education courses from 16 counties/districts in Beijing during January to June 2013.Results Total 720 questionnaires were distributed and 657 valid questionnaires were returned with a recovery rate of 91.3％.Total scores was 60.6.Scores of basic knowledge,non-drug management,drug management and other management was 63.1,76.9,44.0 and 56.9,respectively.There were statistical differences in scores of basic knowledge,non-drug management,drug management and other management between GPs with different diploma (F value:36.8,5.8,21.6,12.2,respectively; P ＜0.01) ; there were significant differences in scores of basic knowledge and drug management among GPs with different working years (F value:15.1 and 17.4,respectively ; P ＜ 0.01) ; there was significant difference in scores of drug management among GPs with different professional title (F =7.69,P ＜ 0.01).Only for GPs with junior college diploma,the scores of basic knowledge and drug management in GPs with working ≥20 y were higher than those working ＜ 20 y(P ＜ 0.01).The accuracy of clinical ability in GPs with junior college diploma,undergraduate diploma and post-undergraduate diploma was 39.6％,41.6％,41.8％ (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions The knowledge of CHF is less desirable in GPs of Beijing,so that measures should be taken to improve the GP's knowledge of CHF.

Method We used biomechanical methods in controlling strain of anterior tibial muscles of rabbits .Objective To observe the histological and enzymohistochemical change after sprain.Result Experimental model of muscle sprain could be made with yield load which was about 128% of the body weight extracting anterior tibial muscle of the rabbits.Some of the muscle fibers broke near the junction between muscle and the tendon. Conclusion Fibrosis of endomysium and scar formation at the injury might be an important cause of frequent recurrence of muscle sprain.

To isolate and culture the purified monoclonal neural stem cells from the cerebral cortex of new born mice, new-born mice cerebral cortex was isolated and dissociated to single-cell suspension by mechanical trituration. The dissociated single cells were cultured in serum-free medium. After the formation of neurospheres, single-cell clone culture was performed by limiting dilution and the proliferated single-cell clones were harvested for subculture. Immunocytochemistry was used to detect the specific marker of neuroepithelial stem cells (Nestin) of the primary and monoclonal neurospheres. In the differentiated cells we detected the specific antigen of NF-200 and GFAP. Our results showed that the primary neurospheres expressed Nestin antigen positively. By limiting dilution, we cultured the cell lines from single-cell clone and the monoclonal neurospheres expressed Nestin and had capabilities of self-renewal, proliferation and the potentiality of differentiation into neurons and glial cells. It is concluded that monoclonal neural stem cells which have the ability of proliferation and multi-directional differentiation can be isolated and cultured from the cerebral cortex of new-born mice by limiting dilution.

OBJECTIVE: To study the characters of oscillatory potentials (OPs) of electroretinogram (ERG) after methanol intoxication in rats. METHOD: The SD rat models of methanol intoxication were established and divided into control group, 3-day intoxication group, 7-day intoxication group. The changes of OPs of ERG were recorded in a dark room. RESULTS: The total amplitudes of 3-day and 7-day intoxication groups decreased approximately 50% compared with that of the control group, while the schedule delayed approximately 16% and 61%, respectively. CONCLUSION The characters of methanol intoxication in rats included delay in schedule and decline in the total amplitude of OPs.

alphaB-crystallin is the structural protein of vertebrate lens, which is widely expressed in non-lens tissue. As one of the heat shock protein family members, alphaB-crystallin possesses biological properties of molecular chaperones and anti-apoptotic effects. Multi-factor injuries, such as retinopathy, inflammation and nervous system diseases, have a closely relationship with alphaB-crystallin. This paper reviews the research progress of the expression and mechanism of alphaB-crystallin in retina and extraocular tissues and organs.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the correlation between contrast vision (LV) and sweep visual evoked potential acuity (SVEP-A) among people with emmetropia, mild myopia, and moderate myopia. METHODS: The CV and SVEP-A were tested individually in 96 eyes from healthy young volunteers, including 37 eyes of emmetropia, 27 eyes of mild myopia, and 32 eyes of moderate myopia. The statistic analysis was done by ANOVA analysis and rank sum test. RESULTS: (1) With the decrease of contrast, CV and SVEP-A decreased in every group. (2) At 100% contrast, the difference of CV between emmetropia and mild myopia had statistical significance (P<0.05). At 100%, 25% and 10% contrast, the difference of CV between emmetropia and moderate myopia had statistical significance (P<0.05). (3) In the same group, the difference of 100% and 25% contrast had statistical significance (P < 0.05). So was between 100% and 10% contrast. (4) At 100% and 10% contrast, the difference of CV and SVEP-A had statistical significance (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The CV of myopia relates to many factors including ametropia and fundus lesions. The correction of ametropia is important to the values of CV and SVEP-A.
