1.Relapse Factors of Acute Central Nervous System Inflammatory Demyelinating Disease in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To explore influential factors and features of relapse of presenting with an initial episode of acute central nervous system inflammatory demyelinating disease(IDDCNS) in children. Methods By group-control study,20 relapsing patients with IDDCNS compared with 50 single episoding patients with IDDCNS whose case history longer than 0.5 year, whose age at onset, gender, preceding infection or immunization, neurologic syndromes at presentation, therapeutic response, and final neurologic outcome after initial episode were analyzed by mono-factor analysis and multi-factor nonconditional Logistic regression model. Results 1.The risk of relapse increased in the near future,75.0% relapsed before 6 months. There were 18 cases diagnosed multiple sclerosis(MS),1 case neurooptic myelitis and 1 case immaturity myelitis in relapsing patients. There were 39 cases diagnosed acute disseminated encephalomyelitis in single episoding patients.2.Mono-factor analysis:8 factors were not statistically significant, including age at onset, gender, seizure, palsy, conscious disturbance, ataxia, natural relief, sequelae after the first attack;6 factors were statistically significant, including infectious or vaccination agents before episode, fever, visual disorder, multiple neurological signs, positive pathologic reflex, with marked improvement to cortical hormone.3.In the multi-factor stepwise regression analysis, visual disorder(OR=42.50)and positive pathologic reflex(OR=8.666)were the independent influencing factors, multiple neurological signs(OR=0.068)was independent protecting factor. Conclusions The rate of relapse in IDDCNS is lower than abroad and most relapse before 0.5 year, the main diagnosis of relapsing case is MS.When visual disorder and positive pathologic reflex presenting in the fist episode of IDDCNS,the opportunity of relapse will increase, and will decrease when multiple neurological signs presenting.
2.Clinical Observation on 45 Cases of Depression Treated by Soothing Stagnation and Invigorating Blood Circulation
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(01):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of the method of soothing liver qi stagnation and invigorating blood circula- tion to remove stasis for depression. Methods Totally 90 depression cases were randomized into treatment group and control group with 45 in each. The treatment group was given modified Xiaoyao Powder(Powder for liver qi stagnation with blood stasis) based on the principle of soothing liver qi stagnation to remove stasis. The control group was given Fluoxetine. The course of treatment was 8 weeks in all.Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) and scores of TCM symptoms before and after treatment were recorded for comparison. Results SDS,HAMD,TESS and TCM symptoms were improved after treatment in the treatment group(P

Objective To investigate the action and the mechanism of Jinyin granule(JYG) on cholecystitis in guinea pigs. Methods Cholecystitis models of Guinea pigs were established and then randomly divided into six groups: normal group, model group,XiaoYanLiDan tablet(XYLDT) group, treatment groups including low, middle and high dosage groups of JYG.The Pigs were given above drugs respectively while in normal and model groups the same volume of normal saline was given.Body weight, gallbladder weight, bile amount,IL-1? in the serum were measured and gallbladder pathological tissue was observed by light microscopy. Results Comparing with the model group, the treatment groups had higher body weight, lower gallbladder weight, less bile amount, obviously slighter inflammation and less amount of IL-1? in the serum. Conclusion JYG possesses the therapeutic action to cholecystitis on guinea pigs and its mechanism is interrelated to the decreasing of IL-1? in the serum.

Objective To explore the application of question-based lectures made by students in teaching chapter of nuclear chemical and biological weapon damage among field military nursing. Methods The participants were junior students of four-year undergraduate program.Questions on emergency treatment and care of chemical and biological weapon damage were proposed after a lecture by teacher.Students were divided into three groups after class and each group was assigned to a lecture on emergency treatment and care of one kind of weapon damage.Students had to collect information and prepare PPT for the next lecture. After lectures given by students at next class, discussion on the lectures was organized and comments were given by teachers. Results All students approved this kind of teaching activities,97.44% believed that it can arouse their interest in study,94.87% participated in the collection of data,89.74% took part in the discussion, and 87.18% obtained the sense of achievements. Conclusion Question-based lectures made by students are helpful in stimulating their interest in learning, cultivating their abilities of acquiring and applying knowledge. The teaching activities achieve the preferable results through proper application and meticulous organization.

Objective To explore whether an individual' s intention to gamble varied across different types of gambling. Methods A total of 373 Macau students completed a questionnaire survey on intention to gamble dealing with thirteen types of gambling, and exploratory factor analyses were conducted. Results The analyses showed two factors that had eigenvalues greater than one and explained a total of 59. 455 percent of the variance, with the largest factor explaining 32.59 percent. Participants' intentions to gamble were relatively lower in gambles of low counterparty with mean scores varying from ( 1.62 ± 1.13 ) to ( 2.20 ± 1.35 ), while the intentions were higher in gambles of high counterparty with mean scores varying from ( 2.34 ± 1. 39 ) to ( 3.02 ± 1.55 ). Conclusion Respondents' degree of intention to gamble was highly domain-specific, varying with the type of gambling. An individual' s intention to gamble is not consistent across all content domains, which implied that a potential gambler is not necessarily intended to gamble in all types of gambling.

Intellectual property in medical institutions has been getting more attention in research activity.Large general hospitals have made significant achievements in intellectual property, and the management of intellectual property right has also gradually become the norm. This article discussed the possibility to carry out the intellectual property management in the primary health care sector, based on their current status and characteristics, proposed an evaluation system which suitable for the primary health care sector. We described the structure and method of this system, explored a standardized intellectual property management process used in primary health care institutions.
