AIM: To study the effectiveness of hyaluronidase periocular injection combined with α - lipoic acid and Chinese medicine in the treatment of diabetic vitreous hemorrhage.
METHODS: Retrospective analysis of 67 patientswith proliferative diabetic retinophathy ( PDR ) and vitreous hemorrhage, were divided into two groups: treatment group and control group. There were 32 cases in every group, the treatment group were giving hyaluronidase periocular injection combined with α - lipoic acid intravenously and with traditional Chinese medicine in promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, control group were only given Chinese medicine treatment in promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis.
RESULTS: Followed up 2-3mo, the total efficiency of treatment group ( 78%) was better than control group (57%), there was statistically significant difference ( P<0-05 ) . The efficiency of the two groups' patients with vitreous hemorrhage more than 2wk time was 22% and 25% respectively, there was no statistically significant difference in the two groups (P>0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Hyaluronidase periocular injection combined with α-lipoic acid and Chinese medicine in the treatment of PDR combined with vitreous hemorrhageis more effective than only use Chinese medicine. But it only has effect for the early, over 2wk, it has no significant effect.

Objective To investigate the effects of acute hypervolemie hemodilution(AHH)combinedwith bypotension(CH)on hemodynamies and tissue perfusion and to evaluate the safety of the technique.MethodsForty-eight ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients of both sexes(28 male,20 female)aged 41-63 yr weighing 47-85kg undergoingelective orthopedic operations were randomly divided into 4 group with 12 patients in each group:A control group;B CH group;C AHH group and D CH+AHH group.The patients were premedicated with oral diazepam 10 mgand intramuscular atropine 0.5 mg.Anesthesia was induced with midazolam 0.04 mg?kg~(-1),fentanyl 4?g?kg~(-1),propefol 1.5-2.0 mg?kg~(-1) and vecuronium 0.1 mg?kg~(-1) and maintained with inhalation of 1%-3 % isoflurane and50% N_2O in O_2 supplemented with intermittent i.v.boluses of vecaronium.The patients were mechanicallyventilated after tracheal intubation(V_T=8-10 ml?kg~(-1),RR 12 bpm).Radial artery and right internal jugular veinwere cannulated.The CVP catheter was inserted into right atrium and the blood obtained from right atrium was usedto replace mixed venous blood.ECG,MAP,HR,CVP,SpO_2 and urine output were continuously monitored duringoperation.Controlled hypotension was induced with sodium nitroprusside(NTP)at 0.1-2 ?g?kg~(-1)?min~(-1) andMAP was maintained at 70% of the baseline MAP during operation.NTP infusion was terminated 30 min beforethe end of surgery.AHH was induced with 6% HES 15 ml?kg~(-1) at 50 ml?min~(-1) after induction of anesthesia andbefore skin incision.Blood samples were taken from radial artery and right atrium before AHH(T_0,baseline),immediately after AHH or before CH(T_1),1h after AHH or 40 min after start of CH(T_2),at the end of surgeryor 30 rain after termination of NTG infusion(T_3)and 24h after surgery(T_4)for blood gas analysis and calculationof oxygen extraction ratio(ERO_2).Blood volume was maintained with infusion of colloid and lactated Ringer'ssolution.The amount of blood loss and blood transfusion were recorded.Hb was maintained above 70 g?L~(-1)Results CVP increassd significantly after AHH in group C and D as compared to baseline(P0.05).Conclusion AHH combined with CH can maintain stable hemodynamics,decrease blood loss andblood transfusion during operation and maintain the balance between oxygen delivery and oxygen consumption.

The influence of separating effect of different chromatographic conditions of mouse gut flora by high performance ion exchange chromatography analysis was studied. The optimum chromatographic conditions for separating gut bacteria were determined. The sample was applied to the chromatography column packed with Toyopearl SuperQ-650c anion resin, equilibrated with 0.02mol/L piperazin-hydrochloric acid buffer (pH 8.0), and elution salt 1mol/L NaCl, eluted with the gradient of 0-50% NaCl/ 80 min, then 50%~75% NaCl/ 25 min at the flow rate 1ml/min, and injecting volume was 1ml.Under these conditions, intestinal flora were separated into several fractions. The establishment of HPLC analysis method will lay a foundation of further research on the components of mouse gut flora and their dynamic changes.

BACKGROUND: Mesenchymal stem cells are the stem cells that possess the capability for self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation. Umbilical cord is the tissue outside the embryos and would be fallen off after parturition. In addition, it has wide source and no ethical restriction, so it is promising to be the first choice for mesenchymal stem cells. OBJECTIVE: To detect the surface markers CD29, CD44, CD49e, CD73, CD90, CD34, CD45, and CD271 of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) prior to and after cryopreservation and resuscitation. METHODS: After isolation and culture, morphology of the primary, P4 and P8 hUCMSCs was observed prior to cryopreservation and after resuscitation. Surface markers CD29, CD44, CD49e, CD73, CD90, CD34, CD45, and CD271 of primary, P4, and P8 hUCMSCs were detected through the use of flow cytometry prior to cryopreservation and after resuscitation RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: hUCMSCs prior to cryopreservation and hUCMSCs of different passages after resuscitation present the same phenotype, i.e., positive for CD29, CD44, CD49e, CD73, and CD90, and negative for CD34, CD45, CD271. These findings suggest that primary hUCMSCs do not present changes in surface markers after cryopreservation and resuscitation.

Objective: To investigate the incidence of CMV infection(CMV-I) and CMV related diseases (CMV-D) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells transplantation in 70 consecutive allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells transplantation(allo-HSCT) patients and to search for the optimal prophylactic strategy.Methods: Blood samples were monitored using the CMV pp65 antigenemia assay.Of the 70 patients observed,30 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia［CML:CP(27),AP(2),BC(1)］,12 with acute myeloblastic leukemia(AML),10 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL)and other cases were NHL(3), AA(5), MDS(7), SCLC with pancytopenia (1),CLL(1), and MF (1). Sixty six patients received HLA - identical siblings transplantation and four received tranplants from their HLA- haploidentical donors. Seventy cases included allo-PBPCT (64 cases) , allo-BMT (4 cases) and allo-PB+BMT (2). Before transplantation, all patients and donors received CMV serological examination except 4 pairs of donors/recepients. All 66 patients (3 cases were CMV IgM positive) and 64/66 donors were CMV IgG positive. Results：After transplantation, 64/70 patients developed CMV viremia during monitoring period. Forty three of 70 patients developed CMV-D.Thirty five of them suffered from CMV-associated interstitial pneumonia(CMV-IP). The high peak levels of CMV antigenemia were associated with development of CMV disease　. Close correlation was found between acute graft vs host disease(GVHD) and CMV disease. The patients were followed up for 2 to 24 months. The patients who received preemptive therapy(group A)had significantly better outcome than CMV disease group(group B, P=0.0001). Conclusions: The results suggest that CMV antigenemia has high predictive value for subsequent CMV disease and CMV pp65 antigenemia -guided early therapy has particular advantage for avoiding morbidity and mortality caused by CMV disease.

Neuritin is a new neurotrophic factor found recently. In order to identify the function of Neuritin clearly, the coding sequence of human neuritin was amplified by PCR from neuritin cDNA , this fragment digested by NocI and NotI was inserted into pET32a by T4 ligase and transformed into E. coli BL21 then the recombinant plasmid named pET32a-neuritin was constructed successfully . Neuritin was expressed distinctly after inducing by EPTG. The product was identified as neuritin by SDS-PAGE and Western blot analysis . The expression production was purified on Ni2+-NTA column.

This study was conducted to investigate the paclitaxel loaded by hydrazone bonds in poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(caprolactone) micelles (mPEG-PCL-PTX) on proliferation and apoptosis of human lung cancer A549 cells and its possible mechanisms of anti-tumor activity. The cell proliferation was measured with MTT assay. Flow cytometry were used to analyze the cell cycle. The cell apoptosis was analyzed using Hoechst/P staining. The expression levels of apoptotic genes expression in the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway were detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The mPEG-PCL-PTX could inhibit the proliferation of A549 cells and promote the apoptosis. The Bax, caspase-3 protein expression were increased while Bcl-2 protein expression was decreased in A549 cells. Results showed that the polymer containing hydrazone bond is non-toxic in vitro, the mPEG-PCL-PTX micelles can inhibit the proliferation and induce the apoptosis of A549 cells. With the development of various laboratory testing techniques such as serum calcium and parathyroid hormone (PTH) , a large number of asymptomatic or normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) can be diagnosed early. PHPT has become the third most common endocrine disease affecting human health. Currently, most PHPT, especially normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism, are not primary diseases and may be related to vitamin D deficiency/insufficiency and/or insufficient calcium supplementation. That is, the relative hypocalcemia caused by long-term vitamin D deficiency/insufficiency and/or insufficient calcium supplementation leads to parathyroid hyperfunction, stimulates parathyroid hyperplasia, and secretes excessive parathyroid hormone to compensate for the regulation of calcium and phosphorus balance. When it is in the initial reversible stage, it can be cured by internal medicine; if it progresses freely, long-term hypocalcemia stimulation will lead to excessive parathyroid hyperplasia and even tumor occurrence with the formation of so-called PHPT and parathyroidectomy has to be performed. Therefore, routine screening of bone mineral density, calcium, magnesium, phosphours, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, parathyroid hormone and other bone metabolism indicators in the physical examination of general population is beneficial to the prevention and treatment of bone metabolism diseases, urinary stones and hyperparathyroidism. At the same time, attention should be paid to identifying the stage of prehyperparathyroidism in which vitamin D deficiency/insufficiency and insufficient calcium supplementation will stimulate parathyroid hyperfunction. Active intervention on prehyperparathyroidism is an effective way to avoid the development of primary hyperparathyroidism.

The elucidation of vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) of the halogenated silane was necessary for the production of silicon derivatives, especially for methylvinyldichlorosilane, due to the lack of the relevant reports. Isobaric VLE for the system methyldichlorosilane-dimethyldichlorosilane-benzene and isobaric VLE of the three binary systems were measured with a new pump-ebulliometer at the pressure of 101.325 kPa. These binary compositions of the equilibrium vapor were calculated according to the Q function of molar excess Gibbs energy by the indirect method and the resulted VLE data agreed well with the thermodynamic consistency. Moreover, the experimental data were correlated with the Wilson, NRTL, Margules and van Laar equations by means of the least-squares fit, the acquired optimal interaction parameters were fitted to experimental vapor-liquid equilibrium data for binary systems. The binary parameters of Wilson equation were also used to calculate the bubble point temperature and the vapor phase composition for the ternary mixtures without any additional adjustment. The predicted vapor-liquid equilibrium for the ternary system was in a good agreement with the experimental results. The VLE of binary and multilateral systems provided essential theory for the production of the halogenated silane.
