1.Influence of Operative Stress on Serum Levels of Adrenocorticotrophic Hormone,Cortisol,Atrial Natriuetic Peptide, and Interleukin-6 in Children with Abdominal Neoplasms after Operation
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(23):-
Objective To investigate the regularity and clinical significance of cortisol(Cor),adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH),atrial natriuetic peptide(ANP) and interleukin-6(IL-6) changes before and after operation stress. Methods The ACTH,Cor,ANP and IL-6 levels in 18 children with abdominal neoplasms(12 male and 6 female,8 cases with sacrococcygeal teratoma,5 cases with hepatoblastoma, and 5 cases with nephroblastoma) were measured before and after operation(24 hours before operation;4,24,48,and 72 hours after operation).Eighteen children were divided into the study group and the control group. The children in the former group were accompanied with stress ulcer, intestinal obstruction and infection shock or even death after operations, while the children in the later group recovered without any complication. The ACTH,Cor,ANP in serum were measured by radioactive immune analysis(RIA) assay, and serum IL-6 level were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results In 2 groups, serum levels of ACTH,Cor,ANP,IL-6 increased significantly 4 h after operation. The changes in ACTH and ANP were similar in 2 groups.Cor in the control group reached its peak 24 h after operation, and then decreased gradually to the pre-operation levels 72 h after operation;IL-6 reached its peak 4 h after operation, and then decreased slowly. It was still at a high level in 48 h after operation, and then decreased to pre-operation levels 72 h after operation. But serum Cor,IL-6 in the study group slightly increased 24 h after operation, and were apparently higher than those in the control group(Pa

Objective To investigate the expressions of transferrin receptor (TfR) mRNA, ferritin(Fn) mRNA and iron regulatory proteinl (IRP-1) mRNA in the placentas complicated with fetal iron deficiency(ID). Methods Depending on the cord SF,the subjects were divided to fetal ID group and fetal iron sufficient( IS) group. TfR mRNA, Fn mRNA and IRP - 1 mRNA in placentas were measured by RT - PCR. Results 1. The expression of TfR mRNA in ID group was 1.10 ? 0. 26, it was significantly higher than that in IS group (t=0.028 P0.05) ;4. TfR mRNA and Fn mRNA correlated with fetal IS respectively. Conclusion Fetal ID induces highly expressed TfR mRNA and lower level of Fn mRNA to furthest satisfy the iron need for fetus.

Objective To explore the biomechanis with different bone density by the pedicle screws fixation before and after fatigue test. Thus provide biomechanical basis for the clinical work. Methods A total of 27 fresh lumbar vertebrae samples of adult sheep (L1-L5) were equally divided into three groups, such as group A of decalcified with HCL 0 h,group B of decalcified with HCL 2 h and group C of decalcified with HCL 4 h,by using the random number table method, every groups was 9 models.Four screws was performed on the L4-L5 pedicle of vertebral arch of the three groups.Three groups were performed fatigue test of 250 000 times in 4 direction (flexion, extension, left lateral bending, right lateral bending) by (300+ 105) N load. The range of motion(ROM),the axial compressive stiffness were measured and the results in every group were compared before and after fatigue test. Results After fatigue test,ROM and the axial compressive stiffness had no significant change in group A (P>0.05),but ROM of B group and C group were both increased and the axial compressive stiffness were decreased,Significance was found with and between groups. Conclusion The stability of people who are performed pedicle screws simplly may be decrease when the spine of osteopenia.

Objective To explore the clinical application of microsurgical techniques to therapy the femoral neck fracture in younger patients and prevent the necrosis of femoral head. Methods Seventy-four younger adults, age from 23 to 50,with femoral neck fractures were treated by open veducition, internal fixa- tion and pedicled bone transplantation from Jan.1995 to Dec.2004.All of the 74 patients were reviewed clin- ically and radiologically after an average of 3.2 years. Results In this group,19/74 cases(25.68%)had avaseular necrosis of the femoral head, which were diagnosised after an average of 28.5 months following inju- ry.Despite these results, these patients assessment with Harris system had been very good or good in 55/74 patients(74.32%).Conclusion It's an effective method to decrease the incidence of necrosis of femoral head after management the femoral neck fracture in younger patients by microsurgical techniques.

Objective To establish the murine congenital infection model by MCMV and observe the pathological changes and infection status of brain tissue. Methods After anesthesia, mice who were pregnant 11-13.5 days (E11-13.5 d) were intra-amniotic injected one uterus by one with virus (MCMV K181 suspension,1 μl,1×103 PFU).The control group of the same period was intra-anmiotic injected with culture medium DMEM (1 μl).Carefully reset the uteruses and close the abdomen. After 5 days of separated feeding, kill the pregnant mice, take the fetus out of the uterus, anesthetize and kill them.Make frozen sections of these fetal brains. Some sections were stained using conventional HE method,to observe the pathological changes under the light microscope.Detect MCMV early antigen in the brain tissue by immunohistochemistry staining and immunofluorescence assay. Results The survival rates of the infected group were 71.9%.Compared with the control group,intra-amniotic inoculation of MCMV does not affect the rate of fetal survival, fetal absorption, fetal death and the average weight of the heads, but decrease their average weight of the bodies. The pathological changes are found in the brain tissue of the mouse in the infection group.Through enzyme immunohistochemistry assay, there are many MCMV infected cells in brain-ventricular zone, brain subependymal zone, cerebral cortex and hippocampus area in the infection group.Similar findings were observed by immunofluorescence method. Conclusion By intra-amniotic injection of MCMV suspension, murine model of MCMV congenital infection can be successfully established. This model could be used to study the mechanisms of encephalodysplasia caused by congenital CMV infection in vivo.

Objective To establish the analytical method for fingerprint of Aristolochia manshuriensis by HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS,which can be used as the basis for quality control of the drug and for the further studies on kidney toxicity metabolite. Methods Samples A.manshuriensis from different habitats were extracted by 75% methanol and analyzed by HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS,whose chromatographic fingerprints were established. Two ways to calculate the similarity were selected to compare the results by determining the common peaks. Results There were 30 main characteristic components in A.manshuriensis.The HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS fingerprint of the 30 common peaks was established preliminarily. The samples of A.manshuriensis from different habitats was found having a good similarity, and the range of similarities for 24 balches of A.manshuriensis were 0.871—0.998.Conclusion The method is reliable, accurate, and of good stability, and can be used for the quality control and variety identification of A.manshuriensis.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
Since 1970's , lots of studies on biodegradation of chloroanilines (CAS) have been done, especially, in these aspects: spieces and capability of the microbes; metabolic pathway; gene cloning, expression of degradation plas-mid and pivotal metabolic emzymes. It is necessary for us to review the study on biodegradation of chloroanilines in order to summarize some useful results and the problems in this study.
