2.A new phthalide from angelicae sinensis radix.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(1):80-82
Angelicae Sinensis Radix, dried roots of Angelicae sinensis, is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine. Six compounds were isolated and purified by silica gel and preparative HPLC. According to physicochemical properties and spectral data, the compounds were identified as senkyunolide H-7-acetate (1), o-phthalic acid (2), diisobutyl phthalate (3), p-hydroxyphenylethanol ferulate (4), ferulic acid (5) and coniferylferulate (6). Compound 1 was a new one.

10 years) groups. The form and function of ventricle were measured. And the blood pressure, hemoglobin, plasma albumin,pre-albumin,lipid,C responsive protein, calcium, phosphate and parathyroid hormone before dialysis were determined. Results The cardiac output(CO) of 1~2 years group was the highest. The left ventricular end-systolic and end-diastolic dimension(LVEDd/s)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI)of ≤1 year group were the lowest. With the increase of the dialysis ages, the blood pressure and the proportion of diabetes patients and those with LVH decreased, but the hemoglobin, plasma albumin,pre-albumin,calcium,phosphate and parathyroid hormone increased, while the CRP decreased. Conclusion With the increase of the dialysis ages, the left ventricular function of the uremic hemodialysis patients improves, which is probably associated with the improvement of anemia, malnutrition and inflammation.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of real time elastosonography in estimating the characteristic of nodules in resected hepatocirrhosis specimens. Methods Thirty-eight reseeted hepatocirrhosis specimens underwent elastosonography. The nodules that have drawn attention were performed elastosonography through rhythmic pressing and releasing the probe by manual form on the liver. The hepatic strain on the region of interest was shown by chromatic scale. To compare nodules rigidity with surrounding hepatic tissues, hepatocirrhosis nodules were classified into hard nodules, medium rigidity nodules, mixture of hard and soft nodules, and soft nodules. All nodules were confirmed by pathology. Results Forty-four nodules of 38 hepatocirrhosis exemplar received real time elastosonography.Of 44 nodules, hard nodules were 18,of which 12 (66.7%) were hepatoeellular carcinomas, 2 (11.1%) were dysplasia nodules, 4 (22.2%) were regenerative nodules.Medium rigidity nodules were 7,all were regenerative nodules.Mixture of hard and soft nodules were 11, of which 8 (72.7%) were hepatocellular carcinomas, including 4 accompanied necrotic tissue, 1 (9.1%) was dysplasia nodules accompanied necrotic tissue, the other 2 (18.2%) were regenerative nodules accompanied necrotic tissue. And soft nodules were 8, of which 4(50.0%) were necrotic nodules, 1 (12.5%) was dysplasia nodules accompanied canceration, 1 (12.5%) was hepatocellular carcinoma,2(25.0 %) were regenerative nodules. Conclusions Real time elastosonography can effectively evaluate the comparative rigidity on hepatoeirrhosis nodules, and thus may have potential usefulness on estimating the characteristic of hepatocirrhosis nodules.

Objective:To investigate the correlation between root and root canal diameter of maxillary central incisors and age by cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT).Methods:CBCT images of 420 cases of Chinese Han population were divided into 7 age groups as follows:1 5 -24,25 -34,35 -44,45 -54,55 -64,65 -74 and 75 -84(n =60).Root diameter and root canal diameter of maxillary central incisors at the 3 /4 level from the cemenal-enamel junction(CEJ)to root apical were measured.Linear-regression a-nalysis was used to analyze the correlation between root and root canal diameter of the teeth and age,T-test was used to examine the gender difference. Results:Mean root diameter(mm)of the teeth in males and females were 5.81 ±0.445 and 5.53 ±0.489(P <0.05),mean root canal diameter(mm)1 .20 ±0.396 and 0.96 ±0.236(P <0.05),mean of the ratio of root canal diameter and root diameter of the teeth 0.21 ±0.072 and 0.1 7 ±0.043(P <0.05)respectively.There were negative correlations between the ratio of root canal diameter and root diameter of the teeth with age (R2 =0.576,P <0.05).Conclusion:The ratio of root canal diameter and root diameter of maxillary central incisors is negitively correlated with age in Chinese Han population. The decrease of root canal diame-ter in males is more significant than that in females.
