As to a nitrite-oxidizing bacterium screened in our laborator y, the effect of pH, nitrogen sources, carbon sources and sodium chloride on its g rowth was studied in order to obtain high cell density. It showed that the cult ure conditions of nitrite- oxidizing bacterium were 4500mg/L sodium nitrite, 1 .5g/L sodium carbonate, 0~0.5% sodium chloride and 0~0.1% glucose at 28℃~30 ℃, 110 r/min and pH 8.0~8.5. After cultivation for 9 days, the bacteria conc entration reached 4.6?109 MPN/mL and all NO-_2-N in the medium w as converted to NO-_3-N. But the transformation of nitrogen sources was inhibited while the sodium chloride concentration exceeded 0.5% or glucose con centration exceeded 0.1%. According to the test of NO-_2-N conversion with nitrite-oxidizing bacteria in a freshwater aquaculture pond, NO-_2 -N began to decrease on the third day of the moculation of this bacterium and t he concentration dropped from 1.47mol/L to 0.49mol/L after 18 days at 25℃ and pH 8.6.

Objective To investigate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in lumbar dorsal root ganglions (DRG) of rats model of high-dose fentanyl induced hyperalgesia. Methods 64 male SD rats were divided into 2 groups (n = 32), fentanyl group and normal saline (NS) group. The rats were injected with fentanyl (60 μg/kg) or NS 4 times in total subcutaneously with a 15-minute interval. Mechanical and thermal nociception were measured via the tail pressure test (tail flick thresholds, TFT) and paw withdrawal test (paw withdrawal latency, PWL) at 1 day before, at 1, 2, 3 and 4 hour and on 1 ~ 7 day after administration. 4 rats were sacrificed and the lumbar DRG were harvested to analyze the expression of PGE2 , IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-αvia ELISA. Results There were no significant changes of TFT, PWL and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in DRG compared to baseline of rats in NS group. The value of TFT , PWL in fentanyl group were above the baseline at the 1 ~ 4 hour and below the baseline at 1~3 day after fentanyl injections. PGE2 , IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 increased on 1,3,5,7 day after fentanyl injections significantly. Conclusions High-dose fentanyl induced significant hyperalgesia and up-regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines in DRG. The expression pro-inflammatory cytokines peaked later and were more protracted than the change of behavior test and show no direct relationship between the two.

Objective]To investigate the change of spinal pro?inflammatory cytokines in a rat model of fentanyl induced acute hyperalgesia.[Methods]64 male SD rats were divided into 2 groups(n=32),fentanyl group and NS group. The rats were subcutaneously injected with fentanyl (60 μg/kg) or normal saline (1.2 mL/kg) 4 times with 15?minute intervals. Mechanical nociceptive thresholds and thermal nociceptive latency were measured via the tail pressure test(Tail flick thresholds,TFT) and paw withdrawal test(Paw withdrawal latency,PWL)on the day before,at 1,2,3,and 4 hour and on 1~5 day after injection. 4 rats were killed concomitantly and the lumber spinal cord were harvested to analysis the expression of NF-κB,PGE2,TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6.[Results]There were no significant changes of TFT,PWL and the expression of spinal inflammatory cytokines such as NF-κB, PGE2,IL-1β,and TNF-αcompared to baseline of rats treated with normal saline. The value of TFT ,PWL in fentanyl group raised to the highest(above the baseline)at the 1st hour after fentanyl injections and decreased thereafter,reached the lowest at the 1st day, raised increasinglyand up to baseline on the 3 day after injection. NF-κB,PGE2,IL-1β,and TNF-αincreased at the 4th hour,on 1 and 2 day and IL-6 increased at the 4 hour and onthe 1 day after fentanyl injections.[Conclusion]Subcutaneously injection of fentanyl induced significant mechanical and thermal hyperalgesia and increased spinal pro?inflammatory cytokines parallelly , indicated that fentanyl induced acute hyperalgesia is associated with spinal inflammatory reaction in rats.

Objective：To study the clinical and pathologic features of patients with lupus nephritis (LN) whose myeloperoxidase anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (MPO-ANCA) were positive. Methods：The clinical and pathological features were analyzed in 18 patients with LN whose MPO-ANCA were positive. And the data of patients with different clinical outcomes were compared. Results：（1）The hematological abnormalities, hypertension and serositis in these patients were more common than general ones with LN. （2）Proteinuria and hematuria were common, the morbidities of gross hematuria and renal failure in these patients were higher than general ones with LN.（3）Various autoantibodies were positive in these patients.（4）Segmental necrosis crescentic nephritis accompanied by density of immunocomplex in glomeruli and vasculitis in intestitium were common.（5）The morbidity of ESRF and mortality of these patients were similar to general ones with LN. The morbidity of tubular atrophy in those with poor prognosis was significantly higher than those survived. Conclusion：The patients with LN whose MPO-ANCA are positive have some difference from those with negative MPO-ANCA, but positive MPO-ANCA is not directly related to the prognosis.

A rapid screening model for biosurfactant-producing strains is described in this paper, according as biosurfac-tant can make the blood-plate hemolysis and produce the blue cycles in blue-glue-plate. 12 microorganisms have been got from soil and water samples sampled from oil field and refinery using this model, and one of them can produce the glyco-lipid biosurfactant, which can depress the interfacial tension of water from 71. 3mN/m to 30. 5mN/m, and yield is 6.5 g/L.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of ~1H-MR spectroscopy(~1H-MRS)imaging to quantitatively detect fatty liver.Methods Twenty patients with fatty liver and 11 healthy volunteers underwent plain CT scan,conventional MR imaging and ~1H-MRS analysis.The blood lipid and liver function were tested on the same day as the MR examination.~1H-MRS sequence measured the peaks of H_2O and lipid,and the areas under the peaks.The relative contents of the lipid compound were calculated,and compared with the results of CT scan and liver function tests.Results The CT values of the normal group and the fatty liver group were(59?9)HU and(24?11)HU respectively.On ~1H-MRS a protruding high H_2O peak and a flat low lipid peak were observed in the normal group,while the protruding high H_2O peak and a high lipid peak appeared in the fatty liver group.The values of lipid peak in the normal group and the fatty liver group were(0.05?0.01)?10~5,(0.70?0.24)?10~5 respectively(t=4.32,P0.05),the areas under the lipid peak were(1.36?0.73)?10~9、(2.35?1.15)?10~9 respectively(t=5.21,P0.05).Conclusion ~1 H-MRS imaging is feasible to quantitatively detect liver fat and is a non-invasive method for detecting early fatty liver.

In the study process of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, effectively conjunction with metabonomics method will facilitate the integration of TCM with modern biological science and technology, and promote the modernization of TCM. This paper introduce the application of metabonomics in the research of toxicity mechanism of TCM, compatibility mechanism of TCM formula, pharmacology effect of TCM and processing mechanism of TCM. This paper summarize the problems in the TCM metabonomics research and prospect its bright future.

Objective To investigate the imaging characteristics of both intra- and extrathoracic sarcoidosis on 18F-FDG PET/CT.Methods From 2007 Aug.to 2009 Nov.,22 patients( 10 males,12 females) with sarcoidosis,confirmed by pathological study and clinical follow-up,underwent 18 F-FDG PET/CT imaging.The imaging patterns of intrathoracic and extrathoracic lesions were analyzed.The patterns were classified as the typical or atypical ( symmetrical or asymmetrical FDG accumulation and enlargement of hilar lymph nodes) based on PET and CT separately.Nonparametric McNemar test,independent t-test and Fisher exact test were applied for statistical analysis.Results For typical pattern vs atypical pattem identification,PET was significantly different from CT ( 18 and 4 vs 12 and 10,P =0.031 ).In those with atypical pattern demonstrated by CT alone at hilar region,PET showed either symmetrical or asymmetrical accumulation of FDG.Except for mediastinal lymph nodes involvement,lung parenchyma was the second common site ( 19/22,86.4％ ),followed by lymph nodes at abdomen and (or) pelvis ( 12/22,54.5％ ).Conclusion The imaging characteristics of both intra- and extrathoracic sarcoidosis on 18F-FDG PET/CT may be helpful for the diagnosis of atypical sarcoidosis on CT image alone.
