Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 2003;0(05):-
Objective To observe the effect of daidzein on intima proliferation of rat common carotid artery injured by balloon. Methods 24 male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to 3 groups, 8 rats per group: high dose daidzein group (100 mg/kg?d), low dose daidzein group (50 mg/kg?d) and dissolvent control group. Duplicate the rat common carotid arteries injured by balloon models. Five weeks after operation, serum biochemical indicator such as TC, TG, BUN, ALT and MDA were measured using routine biochemical methods. And pathological sections of common carotid arteries were observed and the changes of vascular histomorphology were estimated by computer analysis of photomicrograms. Results Compared with control group, the intima areas was significant decreased in high dose group and low dose group (86 893?83 452 ?m2 vs 199 419?103 352 ?m2 vs 222 324?56 154 ?m2,P0.05). Conclusion Daidzein can inhibit the intima proliferation of Wistar rat common carotid arteries injured by balloon.
7.Effects of Isoliensinine on Left Ventricular Hypertrophy and Its Possible Mechnism

Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2007;0(01):-
Background Isoliensinine(IL) is a kind monomer alkaloid of double benzyl group quinoline separated from Plumula nelumbinis, which has been speculated to have antiarrhythmic effect,Ca~(2+) and?1-receptor blockade, and reversal the left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH).It has been reported the activity of Sarco/Endoplasmic reticulum Ca~(2+)-ATP_(ase)(SERCA) in essential hypertention(EH)/LVH patients was lower than that of healthy people. Objective To investigate the effects of Isoliensinine on left ventricular hypertrophy and activity of SERCA in 2 kidney 1 clamp(2K1C) hypertensive rats. Methods 2K1C hypertensive rats were randomly received Isoliensinine (RHR-IL,5 mg/kg per day p.o,n=16) or placebo.Blood pressure, left ventricle mass index(LVMI) and the activity of myocardial SERCA were measured after 10 weeks treatment.Six untreated SD rats were served as control. Results Isoliensinine decreased BP and LV/BM ratio(IL:136.4?14.6 vs control:189.8?4.4 mm Hg,P
8.The effect of ischemia-reperfusion injury on concentrations of free amino acids in rat myocardium and taurine's protective role
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
By using the model of ischemia-reperfusion injury in the isolated working rat heart, the change of free amino acid concentrations in myocardium and the effect of taurine on the heart were investegated. It was found that concentrations of 17 free amino acids in myocardium, except Cys,decreased, and that 20mM taurine was able to ameliorate the ischemia-reperfusion injury of the heart ;e. g. , the improvement of recovery of cardiac mechanical functions, the decrease in the leakage of LDHand CK from myocardium,in the accumulation of lipid peroxides and calcium, and in the loss of free amino acids in myocardium,as well as the decrease in the occurence rate of ventricular arrhythmias during the reperfusion phase. So, it may be suggested that exogenous taurine has some protective effects against the myocardial is-chemia-reperfuaion injury.

China Oncology 1998;0(04):-
Purpose:To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of the combination of paclitacxel and carboplatin on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods:Forty-eight patients with locally advanced (stageⅢb) or metastatic (stage Ⅳ) NSCLC were enrolled into the study. The patients received paclitacxel 55-60 mg/m 2 on day 1,8,15, carboplatin at an AUC of 5 on day 1. administreted in a 28-day cycle. Results:An objective response was obtained in 37.5% of patients (2 complete and 16 partial responses),Significant difference existed between the naive patients and pretreated patients (46.4% Vs 25.0%,P
10.Characteristics of photosynthesis in three Dendrobium species

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(11):-
Object To determine the diumal changes of photosynthesis, its relationships with light intensities and temperatures, and the contents of chloroophyll in leaves of Dendrobium candidum Wall. ex. Lindl., D. wilsonii Rolfe and D. hercoglossum Reichb. f. Methods The net photosynthetic rate (NPR) was measured at intervals of 1.5 h during daytimes 7:30—16:30, under the photosynthetic affective rates 0—140 mmol/(m 2?s), and under the temperatures 29.6—38.2 ℃; contents of chlorophyll a and b in leaves were measured. Results NPR, light saturation point and compensation point were low in each of the three Dendrobium L. species. The NPR peaked during 8:00 and 10:00 am, and thereafter decreased rapidly as the temperature and light intensity increased. Content of chlorophyll b was high in the leaves. Conclusion These results indicated that the Dendrobium L. species, which are sciophyte plants, have great adaptations to their growing habitats.
