Objective To study on the relationship of PTEN with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients.Methods The expression of PTEN was detected in 62 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinomas by immunohistochemistry.Results(1)PTEN expres- sion is negatively correlated with the depth of invasion,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,pTNM stage and degree of differentiation.(2)The difference of survival is significant between high and low expres- sion groups.Conclusion PTEN is correlated negatively with the clinicopathological parameters reflecting the malignant biological behavior,and is one of the significant prognostic predictors by univariate analysis.

Objective:To explore the relationship of teachers'job burnout with job stress,coping swategies associated with job stress,teachers'sense of efficacy,self-esteem,locus of control,social support in primary and secondary schools.Methods:Questionnaires about teachers'job burnout,job stress,coping strategies associated with job stress,teachers' sense of efficacy,self-esteem,locus of control,social support were applied to 766 primary and secondary teachers from Shandong and Hubei provinces.Results:(1)Teachers' job burnout was significantly positive correlated with its job stress,inactive coping and locus of control(r=0.23～0.40);(2)Teachers' job burnout was significantly negative correlated with its active coping,teachers' sense of efficacy,self-esteem and social support (r=-0.28～0.41).Conclusion:Teachers' sense of efficacy,job stress,self-esteem,locus of control,inactive coping, active coping and social support significantly can predict their job burnout.

Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound elastography score and strain ratio index in the differential diagnosis of thyroid solid nodules. Methods Eighty-six thyroid solid nodules of 69 patients were divided into 2 groups based on their pathologic results: benign nodules group and malignant nodules group.Compared with pathological results, each thyroid solid nodules' elastographic scores and strain ratio index were respectively analyzed. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of elasticity score and strain ratio index were calctlated.The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn according to the results, to choose the best cut-off value.Results There were 67 nodules in benign nodules group and 19 nodules in malignant nodules group. The diameter of benign nodules was (2.05 ± 0.21)cm, malignant nodules was (1.62 ± 0.12)cm. There were no significant differences in the elasticity score and strain ratio index between benign and malignant nodules(t= - 1.736, P ＞ 0.05). Malignant lesions had a higher score and strain ratio index(median 3, 3.97, respectively) than benign ones(median 2, 1.66,respectively, Z = - 5.290, - 5.450, all P ＜ 0.05). If the cut-off value of the elastographic scores was equal or more than 3, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 84.2%(16/19) ,86.6%(58/67) and 86.0%(74/86), respectively,with an area under ROC curve of 0.854. If the cut-off value of the strain ratio index was equal or more than 2.50,the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 89.4%(17/19),86.6%(58/67) and 87.2%(75/86), respectively, with an area under ROC curve of 0.911. Conclusion Elasticity score and strain ratio index are helpful in differentiating benign and malignant lesions of thyroid with high clinical value.

Objective To investigate the levels of trace elements such as fluorine(F), and aluminium (Al)etc. of osteomalacia malformation children and to make etiological diagnosis in reference with clinical manifestations.Methods Urine and occipitalia hairs of 14 diseased children(patient group) from endemic fluorosis area and 13 healthy children(control group) from non-endemic area were included in the study on November, 2008, and contents of 10 elements of fluorine(F), aluminum(Al), chromium(Cr), manganese(Mn), ferrum(Fe), cuprum(Cu), zinc(Zn), arsenic (As), selenium(Se), strontium(Sr), and barium(Ba) were tested. The data were analyzed with medical soft package PEMS 3.1. Results Urinary contents of F, Al, Mn, Cu, Sr, and Se(1.18 mg/L, 112.6 μg/L,6.62,29.86 mg/L, 177.5,4.23 ng/L) in patient group were significantly different from those in control group (0.48,47.1,2.04,16.61 mg/L, 55.17,15.52 ng/L, t = 4.592,2.486,4.850,2.210 2.078,2.912, all P＜ 0.05); Hair contents of Al, Mn, As, Sr, Ba, Fe, and Se in patient group(59.27,5.26,0.96,1.50,1.29,297.13,0.45 mg/kg)were significantly different from those of control group( 18.69,0.72,1.09,0.62,0.68,69.02,1.323 mg/kg, t = 4.583,6.318,3.309,2.704,5.606,6.294, all P ＜ 0.05); in patient group, the correlation coefficients of urinary Fe to Al,Zn, As, and Se were all bigger tan 0.662(all P＜ 0.05), those of urinary Se to Mn, Ba, Cu, Zn, Sr, and As were all bigger than 0.694(all P＜ 0.05), those among urinary Mn, Sr, As, and Ba were bigger than 0.550(all P＜0.05), those of hair Al to Mn, Cr, Fe, and Cu were bigger than 0.732(all P＜ 0.05), those of hair Ba to Mn,Cr, Fe, and Sr, and of hair Mn to Cr and Fe, and those between Cr and As, between Cu and Sr were all bigger than 0.686 (all P ＜ 0.05). In control group, the correlation coefficients of urinary Cu to Zn, Se, and Ba, those of Zn to Se and Ba, and those of Cr to Mn and Ba were all bigger than 0.516(all P ＜ 0.05), those of hair Al to Mn,Fe, Cu, As, and Se, and those of hair Se to Fe, Cu, and As, those of hair Fe to Mn, Cu, and As, those of hair Cu to Zn and As, and that between Zn and As were bigger than 0.739(all P ＜ 0.05). The correlation coefficient of urinary F to Se in patient group(0.762) was significantly different from that in control group( - 0.469, u = 2.079,P ＜ 0.05). Conclusions The burden of F and Al of osteomalacia malformation children in endemic fluorosis area of Shuicheng county is too high. The contents of multi-elements in urine and hairs and their correlation are coincident with high levels of Al and F and they cause network increase of multi-element content changes and their correlation. According to bone X-ray features combining with the living environment, the diagnosis of endemic Al-F fluorosis can be made. The biological significance of reducing urinary and hair Se levels and the correlations of F and Al need to be further studied.

To study the immunopathological characteristics and differential diagnosis of hepatic angiomyolipoma(AML).Methods:Thirty-six surgically resected hepatic AML were investigated clinicopathologically and immunohistochemically with 10 antibodies.Results:Hepatic AML occurred in 21 females and 15 males,with the mean age of 41.6 years(26-60 years old).The patients with AML often had no special symptoms even had large space-occupying lesions in the liver.The diameter of AML was 2.5 cm to 14 cm(mean 6.8 cm).Histologically,AML was composed of varying heterogeneous mixture of 3 tissue components:blood vessels,smooth muscle and adipose cells.Extramedullary hemopoiesis sometimes existed.According to tissue components,AML was subcategorized into mixed type(19.4%,n=7),lipomatous type(11.1%,n=4),myomatous type(66.7%,n=24),and angiomatous type(2.8%,n=1).The epithelioid smooth muscle cells were sensitive to HMB-45(100%),SMA(100%),and CD117(66.7%) staining.Conclusion:Hepatic AML often contains smooth muscle elements,which have varied morphological features and should be carefully differentiated from hepatocellular carcinoma,mesenchymal hamartoma，and tumors with rich fat or blood vessels.Immunohistochemical staining with HMB-45 and SMA are the best available markers for the diagnosis of hepatic AML.

OBJECTIVE:To compare in vivo and in vitro permeation behaviors of the ethosome gels of testosterone,testoster-one propionate and testosterone undecanoate. METHODS:The ethosome gels of testosterone,testosterone propionate and testoster-one undecanoate were prepared. With cumulative permeating amount and permeation rate as the indexes,Franz diffusion cell and HPLC were employed to compare in vitro permeation behaviors of 3 kinds of ethosome gels in mouse skin. With testosterone patch as the positive control drug, electrochemistry method was adopted to detect the concentration of testosterone in plasma 0,3,6, 9,12,24,36 and 48 h after applying such 3 kinds of ethosome gels on the back of rats,and then pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated with DAS 2.0 software. RESULTS:24 h cumulative permeating amounts of the ethosome gels of testosterone,tes-tosterone propionate and testosterone undecanoate were(234.31±13.8),(175.63±41.1)and(72.60±15.3)μg/cm2,and the per-meation rates were(10.25±1.9),(7.64±1.4)and(2.96±0.8)μg/(cm2·h),respectively. The pharmacokinetic parameters of the above-mentioned three kinds of ethosome gels and the positive control drug were respectively as follows as cmax of(20.19±2.57), (17.50±2.91),(0.23±0.04),(14.97±2.12)ng/ml,t1/2Ka of(2.80±0.45),(3.36±0.59),(4.02±0.62),(4.20±0.71)h,AUC0-48 h of(13.85±1.96),(13.93±2.13),(0.35±0.07),(11.76±2.31)ng·h/ml. CONCLUSIONS:in vivo and in vitro permeation behav-iors of the ethosome gels of testosterone and testosterone propionate are fairly good.

Objective: To explore the effects of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with dispersion of re-polarization and ventricular arrhythmia.
Methods: A total of 86 consecutive patents with CRT implantation were enrolled. According to weather absolute value of LVEF increased≥10% from baseline at 6 months after CRT implantation, the patients were divided into 2 groups: Response group and Non-response group,n=43 in each group. Dispersion of re-polarization indexes as QRS duration, QTc interval, TpTe interval and the events of ventricular arrhythmia were compared between 2 groups at different time points after CRT.
Results:①In Response group, compared with pre-operation, QRS duration and TpTe interval were shorter at 1 year and within 24h after CRT implantation, allP<0.05, while the above indexes were similar in Non-response group, allP>0.05.②During 1 year after CRT implantation, the incidences of PVCs and PVC runs in Response group were much less than those in Non-response group, for lgPVCs: (1.78 ± 0.77) vs (2.73 ± 0.61), for lgPVC runs: (0.64 ± 0.48) vs (1.98 ± 0.72),P<0.05.③Multi liner regression analysis demonstrated that TpTe interval within 24h after CRT implantation was an independent predictor for both lgPVCs: (B=0.143, OR=1.154,P=0.001) and lgPVC runs: (B=0.122, OR=1.047,P=0.001).
Conclusion: CRT ventricular reverse remodeling may reduce dispersion of re-polarization and the risk of ventricular arrhythmia, therefore improve the prognosis in relevant patients; TpTe interval within 24h after CRT had the predictive value for ventricular arrhythmia.

【Objective】To perform preimplanation genetic diagnosis by using dual color fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH).【Methods】The chemical and mechanical division methods were used to perform embryo biopsy in 3 cases of Robertsonian translocation t (13q14q).Vysis LSI 13q14 and Tel Vysion 14q probes were used to detect the blastomeres biopsied from the IVF embryos of the patients.FISH analysis was performed to select normal or balanced karyotype embryos ,which then were transfered into the uterus.【Results】Total of 23 oocytes were retrieved in 3 treatment cycles.Fertilization rate was 79%.14 embryos were available for embryo biopsy.Among them,9 embryos were biopsied by chemical division method,with further cleavage rate of 67%;5 embryos were biopsied by mechanical division method,with further cleavage rate of 40%.Single embryo was diagnosed as normal karyotype or balanced respectively in 2 treatment cycles.Both of them were transfered into the uterus.One clinical normal on-going pregnancy was achieved,the diagnosis was confirmed by amniocyte karyotype analysis.【Conclusion】Preimplanation genetic diagnosis can be used to resolve the problem of fertility for Robertsonian Translocation Carriers.
