OBJECTIVE:To establish a HPLC method for the simultaneously determination of three components in Bikeling nasal spray. METHODS: The column we used was Hypersil ODS and the mobile phase was 0.1%mtriethylamine(adjust pH3.2 with phosphate acid)-acetonitrile (75∶25). The detective wavelength was 256nm and the sample size was 10?L. RESULTS: The linear rangs of ofloxacin, ephedrine hydrochloride and dexamethasone sodium phosphate were 32~320?g?mL-1(r=0.999 9),64~640?g?mL-1(r=1.000 0) and 4~40?g?mL-1(r=1.000 0)respectively, and the average recoveries were 100.05%(RSD=0.32%), 100.17%(RSD=0.48%) and 99.85%(RSD=1.67%),respectively. CONCLUSION: The method was simple and accurate and can be used for the quality control of Bikeling nasal spray

OBJECTIVE To establish a CZE method for the simultaneous determination of magnolol and honokiol in cortex magnoliae officinalis and their supercritical fluid extract.METHOD The buffer solution was 20 mmol*L-1 sodium borate(pH=10),the internal standard was sulfamethoxazole and the detection wavelength was 294 nm.RESULTS Magnolol and honokiol in cortex magnoliae officinalis and their supercritical fluid extract were separated completely and determined accurately. The recoveries and the relative standard deviation were 99.40% and 1.6% for magnolol, and 98.44% and 1.4% for honokiol (n=3) respectively.CONCLUSION The method was simple and accurate and it can be used for the quality control of magnolol and honokiol in cortex magnoliae officinalis and their supercritical fluid extract.

OBJECTIVE:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of lipoic acid in lipoic acid sustained-release tablets.METHODS:HPLC was conducted on a Hypersil ODS with acetonitrile-0.05 mol?mL-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate(45∶55,adjust pH to 2.0)as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1.The injection volume was 10 ?L;the detection wavelength was set at 219 nm and the column temperature was 25 ℃.RESULTS:The linear range of lipoic acid was 9.99~399.70 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999)with an average recovery rate of 99.17%(RSD=0.40%);the intra-day and inter-day RSD were all less than 2.6%.CONCLUSION:The method is simple and accurate, and suitable for the determination of the content of lipoic acid in lipoic acid sustained-release tablets.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2009;34(4):390-393
OBJECTIVETo prepare nano-particles of SCF-CO2 extraction of Magnolia officinalis with rapid expansion of supercritical solution (RESS) and optimize the preparation procedure with orthogonal experiment.
METHODThe preparation procedures were optimized by orthogonal test L9(3(4)) with the mean particle size and the amounts of total-phenol as indexes. Factors of the extraction pressure and temperature, diameter of nozzle, pre-expansion temperature were evaluated for their effects on preparation process.
RESULTThe optimal preparation technology was as follows: the pressure was at 25 MPa and temperature was at 50 degrees C, the diameter of nozzle was 200 microm, the pre-expansion temperature was at 30 degrees C. The nano-particles solution was settled, of which the average particle size was 303.50 nm and the total-phenol contents was 0.091 g x L(-1), and the stability of the particle size kept well after 1 month of storage at low temperature and obturation the mean particle size.
CONCLUSIONThe RESS method is applicable for preparing nanoparticles solution of SCF-CO2 extraction of M. officinalis at low operating temperature. It is simple processing, and no environmental pollution, and no residual solvent.

AIM: To study the absorption and excretion of CT-707 in healthy male subjects. METHODS: Six healthy male subjects received a single 300 mg (120 μCi) oral dose of radio-labeled CT-707 as a suspension in a fasted state. Blood, urine and feces were collected. Radioactivity concentrations were measured by liquid scintillation counting (LSC). The pharmacokinetic parameters of total radioactivity in plasma were calculated by WinNonlin (Pharsight version 8.1) software according to the non-compartment model. The recovery rate of total radioactivity in urine and feces was calculated according to the weight and radioactivity concentration of urine and feces collected at each time interval. RESULTS: After a single 300 mg oral of radio-labeled CT-707 552 h (23 d) as a suspension in a fasted state, the mean AUC
