Objective:To investigate the characteristics and regularities of adverse drug reactions(ADRs) induced by quionlones antibacterial agents in our hospital.Methods:187 ADR cases induced by quionlones collected by the ADR drugs monitoring center in our hospital from 2007~2008 were classified and analyzed.Results:187 ADR cases were involved in 6 drugs of quionlones. The ADRs were chiefly manifested as lesions of skin and its accessories, and followed by the reaction of the digestive system. Most ADRs induced by the intravenous route had a good recovery.Quionlones causing most ADRs was gatifloxacin. Conclusion:The occurrence of ADRs caused by quionlones was related to many factors. Great importance should be attached to ADR monitoring so as to reduce the incidence of ADRs by quionlones

BACKGROUND:For on-visit root canal therapy, ultrasound washing can improve the quality of root canal irrigation, and play a synergistic role with ultrasound so that the flushing fluid can reach the area that cannot be completely cleaned up by root canal preparation instruments, such as apical isthmus and col ateral root canal, for removal of the detritus, cleanup and disinfection.
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical effect of one-visit root treatment with nickel-titanium rotary instruments and ultrasonic irrigation unit in treatment of chronic apical periodontitis.
METHODS:A total of 460 patients with il ed 460 teeth were selected. Patients were randomly divided into three groups:Mtwo instrument and ultrasonic technique combined with sodium hypochlorite was utilized in group A;ultrasonic technique combined with active silver ion antibacterial solution was utilized in group B;stainless steel K files with saline and hydrogen peroxide solution were used as irrigations in group C. Twenty-four hours after root canal fil ing, the pain degree was self-assessed by patients with visual analogue scale, and subsequent visit was done 7 days after root canal fil ing. Six and twelve months after root canal fil ing, the therapeutic effect was determined with X-ray examination and clinical assessment.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The degree of pain and occurrence rate of acute reactions in groups A and B were significantly lower than those in group C (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between groups A and B (P>0.05). Six months after root canal fil ing, the cure rate was not significantly different between three groups (P>0.05). But after 12 months, the cure rate in the group C was significantly lower than that in groups A and B (P<0.05). By using of nickel-titanium rotary instruments and ultrasonic irrigation unit in treatment of chronic apical periodontitis, the short-and long-term effects of one-visit root treatment have been achieved clinical y.

Objective To establish the quality standard for Shengxinfa Capsule. Methods TLC was used to identify Praeparata, Psoraleae Fructus and Gastrodiae Rhizoma in Shengxinfa Capsule, and 2,3,5,4’-the four-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside was identified by HPLC. The column of Agilent TC-C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) was used. The mobile phase was acetonitrile-water (15∶85). The flow was 1.0 mL/min and column temperature was 30 ℃. UV detecting wavelength was 320 nm. Results Praeparata, Psoraleae Fructus and Gastrodiae Rhizoma could be identified by TLC. The linear range of 2,3,5,4’-the four-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside was in the range of 0.05-0.50 μg. The average recovery was 97.8% (RSD=0.39%). Conclusion The method is feasible and accurate. The quality of Shengxinfa Capsule can be controlled effectively with the established quality standard.

Objective To determine the content of taurine in Mactra veneriformis by pre-column derivation HPLC.Methods Ultrasound method was used for the extraction of taurine from Mactra veneriformis. In alkaline condition, amino acids reacted with phenyl isothiocyanate and resulted in the derivatives of benzene isothiocyanate-amino acid complex.Kromasil C18 column(4.6 mm ?250 mm,5 ?m) was used and the absorbance at 254 nm was measured. The mobile phase consisted of sodium acetate solution, water and methanol. Results Corresponding chromatographic peaks of taurine were obtained in extract sample and the control. The linear range of taurine was from 10.04 ?g?mL-1 to 50.20 ?g?mL-1,and the recovery was 97.95 %(RSD=1.41%,n=9).Conclusion This method is simple, accurate and reproducible. The seasonal variation range of taurine level is from 10.56 mg/g to 20.91 mg/g,and the taurine level arrived to the peak in June.

Objective To studied the effects of administering a second rinse solution of low-potassium-dextran(LPD) before reperfusion on the donor lung of rat after long time, cold ischemic preservation. Methods Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into control group(n=12) and trial group(n=12).Donor lungs of control group were flushed with LPD solution. The levels of malonaldehyde(MDA),myeloperoxidase(MPO) and interleukin-8(IL-8) were tested in the tissue of right lung and the left lungs were reperfused with venous blood for 30 minutes. The partial pressure of oxygen(PaO_2),PaP and PawP were measured at every 10 minutes intervals during reperfusion. After reperfusion, the MDA,MPO activity and interlukin-8(IL-8) were determined in the lung tissue. Results The levels of MDA,MPO and IL-8 decreased significantly in right lung of trial group than those in control group(P

Objective To explore the mechanism of gene Nelin on the differentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC).Methods Human VSMCs were stably infected with over-express lentiviral vector [Nelin-VSMC] and interference lentiviral vector [LV-Nelin-SiRNA-VSMC] by Western blotting and RT-PCR.The effect of Nelin expression on phenotypic transition of VSMCs was observed and the mechanism involved was explored. Results The Nelin-VSMC cells take on the contractile phenotype of long slender cells possessing hill-valley characteristics.Overexpression of Nelin can enhance SMoα-actin expression with the increase of total RhoA and nuclear serum response factor(SRF) expression.Treated with a selective Rho kinase inhibitor Y-27632,the expression of SMα-actin and nuclear SRF protein induced by Nelin was effectively reduced.Meanwhile, the opposite results were observed in the Nelin-depression VSMC.Conclusions Nelin can enhance the expression of SMα-actin and carry a pivotal role in the process of VSMCs differentiation and phenotype modulation by activating Rho and SRF.
