This paper summerized the surgical treatment of primary bronchogenic carcinoma in 3568 cases between 1957-1991. The resectability rate was 90. 3%, postoperative morbidity rate 8.32% and operative mortality 0. 89%. Pathological diagnoses of the resected specimens included squa-mous cell carcinoma for 48.7%, adenocarcinoma 22.9%, small cell cancer 15. 4%, large cell cancer 1. 3% and squa-mous-adenocarcinoma in 10.1%. The follow-up rate was 93%. The 5-and 10-year survival rates were 34.6% and 22.79% respectively. Analyses of the data demonstratad that the histologic type, pathological stage and metastasis of mediastinal lymph node are the important factors affecting the prognosis. According to UICC P-TNM,42. 6% of the patients in this group were in stage III. The 5 year survival rate was 19% in IIIa patients and 6% in IIIb. According to authors experience, it is recommended that in IIIa patients with nonsmall cell cardinoma, active surgical treatment should be adopted; in patients with small cell carcinoma, chemotherapy and radiotherapy should be given pre-and postoperatively, in IIIb patients with small cell carcinoma, surgical treatment is generally not indicated.

This study sought to construct recombinant eukaryotic plasmid pcDNA3. 1-sFlt-1 and observe its effect on proliferation of vascular endothelial cells. Total RNA was extracted from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) firstly. The 1st-3rd Ig-like domains of Flt were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) from the full-length cDNA. Subsequently, the PCR product was cloned into the eukaryotic plasmid pcDNA3.l(+)/myc-His. The constructed recombinant plasmid pcDNA3. 1-sFlt-1 was sequenced. Then recombinant plasmid was transfected into Lewis lung cancer cells. RT-PCR and SDS-PAGE were used to detect the expression of soluble vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor mRNA and protein, respectively. MTT method was used to evaluate the effect of sFlt-1 protein on proliferation of HUVECs induced by VEGF. The results showed: (1) The sequence of inserted fragment was correct. (2) Lewis lung cancer cells with recombinant plasmid transfection could express the soluble VEGF receptor mRNA and protein stably. (3) Culture supernatant of Lewis lung cancer cells with sFlt-1 could significantly inhibit the proliferation of HUVECs induced by VEGF. These data suggested that recombinant eukaryotic plasmids pcDNA3. 1-sFlt-1 was constructed successfully, sFlt-1 mRNA and protein were expressed in eukaryotic system stably and sFlt-1 protein could significantly inhibit the proliferaton of endothelial cells induced by VEGF.

It is an important way to improve the teaching quality by carrying out innovative experiments among medical students. In the process of experimental teaching, anatomy teachers expand the anatomy knowledge to basic scientific research techniques, so as to enhance students' confidence in participating in innovative experimental projects. Meanwhile, the teachers combine introduction of the anatomical structures with hot medical research issues, in order to help students to select appropriate innovative experimental topics. What's more, the new media teaching is integrated into the teaching of anatomy, enlightening students to perfect the experimental designs. Finally, in the teaching practice of regional anatomy, students are guided to carry out innovative experiments and write research papers. Abovementioned measures not only improve the teaching quality of anatomy, but also improve the students' scientific research ability, laying a foundation for them to participate in innovative experimental projects.
