Objective To assess the therapeutic efficacy of colonic tumor with targeted microbubbles encapsulated VEGFR2 monoantibody (mAb) combined with ultrasonic abrupted destroy. Methods Seventeen Balb/C nude mice with subcutaneous colonic carcinoma xenografts were divided into three groups:group A (5 mice) underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) examination and sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy;group B (6 mice) underwent lipid-microbubbles administration combined with ultrasonic irradiation;group C (6 mice) underwent VEGFR2 monoantibody-loaded microbubbles injection combined with ultrasonic irradiation.Red fluorescent protein(RFP) was labeled to all the nude mice model. Both CEUS and flurography were performed before and one week after abrupted destroy. The size, fluroscent area and fluroscent intensity(FI) and vessel density (VD) of each tumor were measured and compared. Results The parameters of length, fluroseent area,FI and VD of each tumor before abrupted destroy were no significant difference among three groups ( P >0.05).Parameters of post-sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy in group A were higher than those before sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy ( P <0.05).FI and VD in group B were significantly lower than those after abrupted destroy( P <0.05).There were no difference of length, fluroscent area of tumor in group B between pre- and post- ultrasonic abrupted destroy (P >0.05).Length,fluroscent area,FI and VD of each tumor in groups C were decreased significantly compared with post ultrasonic abrupted destroy ( P <0.01 ).There were significant difference of length, fluroscent area,FI and VD of each tumor among groups after ultrasonic abrupted destroy( P <0.05).Conclusions VEGFR2 mAb-loaded lipid microbubble combined with ultrasonic abrupted destroy can improve the therapeutic efficacy of colonic tumor.

Methods The publications pertaining to ART resistance in P. falciparum were retrieved from the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database in Web of Science during the period from January 2011 through May 2022. The subject, journal, country, affiliation and author distributions and citations of publications were descriptively analyzed. Results A total of 1 640 publications pertaining to ART resistance in P. falciparum were retrieved in the SCIE database during the period from January 2011 through May 2022, and the number of publications appeared an overall tendency towards a rise during the study period. These articles were published in 343 journals, and the three most productive journals included Malaria Journal (341 publications, 20.79%), Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (141 publications, 8.60%), American Journal of Aropical Medicine and Hygiene (68 publications, 4.15%), with infectious diseases (565 publications, 34.45%), parasitology (531 publications, 32.38%), and tropical medicine (517 publications, 31.54%) as the predominant subject. The three most productive countries included the United States of America (627 publications, 38.23%), United Kingdom (395 publications, 24.08%), and Thailand (294 publications, 17.94%), with total citations of 25 280, 18 622 and 15 474, respectively, and the most productive countries included Mahidol University (Thailand), Oxford University (England) and London University (England), with 234, 220 publications and 142 publications and 15 058, 15 421 citations and 6 191 citations, respectively. The three most productive authors were all from Mahidol University, with 85, 77 and 63 publications, respectively; and among the three most cited authors, two were from Mahidol University, Thailand, with 8 623 and 7 961 total citations, and one from National Institutes of Health, the United States of America, with 6 267 total citations. A total of 138 articles were published by Chinese scientists, with 3 434 total citations, and National Institute of Parasitic Diseases of Chinese Center for the Diseases Control and Prevention was the most productive Chinese institution, with 35 publications, 1 165 total citations and 33.29 citations per publication. Conclusions The literature output of ART resistance in P. falciparum was relatively high in the United States of America, Europe, and Southeast Asian countries during the period from 2011 to 2021, with a relatively high academic impact. Publications in Malaria Journal and Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy are recommended to be paid much attention by Chinese scientists to understand the latest advances and extend the research interests.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2002;10(1):85-86
In order to investigate the therapeutic effects of Lishengsu, a domestic preparation of recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor, the recovery of leukopenia was observed in 58 patients with malignant tumors after chemotherapy. In these patients, 7 cases were in first cycle of chemotherapy and 51 were given in repeated cycles. When blood leukocyte level decreased to less than 3x10(9)/L, Lishengsu was subcutaneously injected for 3-5 days at a dose of 75 microgram or 150 microgram per day. The results showed that Lishengsu remarkably alleviated the degree of leukopenis and accelerated the leukocyte counts recovered to normal level. The promotive effects of Lishengsu to recovery of leukopenia were dependent on degree of leukopenia at start of administration of Lishengsu. The curative effect of Lishengsu to chemotherapy-induced leukopenia was reliable with slight side-effects

Objective:To evaluate whether there are changes in cone cells in patients with pre-clinical hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) retinopathy using an adaptive optics (AO) retinal camera. Methods:A retrospective case-control study. From May 2020 to July 2020, 46 patients who were treated in Department of Rheumatism and Immunology, Hainan Hospital of PLA General Hospital with rheumatic immune diseases were included. All patients had a history of HCQ use and no obvious abnormality was found in fundus examination; 105 healthy people with similar demographic characteristics without a history of hydroxychloroquine were recruited as the control group were included. All subjects received the routine ophthalmological examination including best corrected visual auity (BCVA), spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), Fundus autofluorescence (FAF), visual field, endoscopy of the cornea, and the measurement of axial length (AL). The BCVA was performed with the Snellen visual acuity chart, and the result was converted to logarithmic minimum angle of resolution (logMAR) visual acuity for statistic. Among the 46 cases, 6 cases were males and 40 cases were females. Age was (42.02±13.81) years old; logMAR BCVA was 0.063±0.015; AL was (23.95±0.726) mm. Visual field, macular SD-OCT, FAF examination showed no abnormality. The average cumulative dose of HCQ was 522.60 (6-1 728) g. rtx1 AO retinal camera was used to collect fundus images of subjects in four quadrants above the retina, nasal side, lower side and temporal side with 3°centrifugation from the fovea in both eyes. The cone density, cone spacing, cone arrangement regularity and the proportion of the nearest cones with 6 (nn=6) were measured in the four quadrants. The density of cone cells between the left and right eyes in case group and control group were compared by paired t test. The density and spacing of cone cells in each quadrant were compared by t test of two independent samples. Results:Compared with the control group, the cone cell density in the four quadrants of the left eye and the nasal, superior and inferior sides of the right eye in the case group was significantly decreased, and the difference was statistically significant ( t=4.247, 2.107, 4.884, 2.254, 2.643, 4.445, 4.116; P<0.05). The cone spacing in the nasal and temporal sides of the left eye of the patients in the case group was significantly larger than that in the control eye, with statistical significance ( t=2.750, 3.318; P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the regulatign of cone cell arrangement in the left temporal side of the right and left eye in the case group were significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant ( P=0.002, 0.011). The proportion of nn=6 in the inferior and temporal sides of the right eye decreased significantly in the case group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P=0.006, 0.032). Conclusion:AO retinal imaging can detect the changes of cone cells in the early clinical stage of HCQ retinopathy.
