Lactate is considered a dead-end product of glycolysis.Its generation and accumulation promotes tumor growth and metastasis,and it is related to the poor prognosis of tumor.But recent studies have found,tumor cells can also uptake and utilize lactate.With the recent advances in tumor metabolism and gene therapy,lactate is a potential therapeutic target in tumors.

Tooth eruption is a series of complicated physiological processes occurring once the crown is formed completely, as well as when the tooth moves toward the occasion plane. As such, the tooth moves through the alveolar bone and the oral mucosa until it finally reaches its functional position. Most studies indicate that the process of tooth eruption involves the alveolar bone, dental follicles, osteoclasts, osteoblasts, and multiple cytokines. Dental follicles regulate both resorption and formation of the alveolar bone, which is required for tooth eruption. Furthermore, root formation with periodontal ligament facilitates continuous tooth eruption. However, the exact mechanism underlying tooth eruption remains unclear. Hence, this review describes the recent research progress on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of tooth eruption.

Objective To analyze the monitoring results of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) in Shiyan, Hubei province, and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of SFTS. Methods Descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted on the surveillance data of SFTS, and real-time PCR was performed for detecting SFTSV RNA. Results A total of 54 laboratory-confirmed cases of SFTS were reported in Shiyan from 2011 to 2022, including 5 deaths (9.26%). The cases mainly occurred in March to October, with a peak in April to August (85.18%). People over 50 years old were the high-risk group (94.44%), and farmers were the high-risk occupation (92.59%). The male to female sex ratio was 0.64:1. The three northern counties (Danjiangkou City, Yunyang District, and Yunxi County) were high-incidence areas (90.74%). There was no statistical difference in the positive rates of sampling between within 7 days and 8-11 days after onset (66.67% vs. 57.14%) (Fisher's precision probability test , P＝0.674 ). Conclusion The incidence of SFTS in Shiyan is mainly sporadic, dominated by middle-aged and elderly people and farmers, and shows obvious seasonal and regional characteristics . It is necessary to strengthen vector management, health education, SFTS case reporting and sample collection, and inspection management of high-risk groups, and increase prevention and control efforts in the three northern counties of Shiyan.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of double contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (DCUS)in diagnosing Lauren classification of advanced gastric carcinoma.Methods Fifty-eight patients with gastric cancer proved by endoscopic biopsy underwent preoperative DCUS examination,and the findings were compared with postoperative pathologic results via hematoxylin-eosin and alcian blue-periodic acid schiff(AB-PAS)staining.Results In 58 patients,34 cases were diagnosed as intestinal type and 24 cases as diffuse type by pathology after operation.In intestinal type,30 cases were enhanced as global homogeneous intensity by using DCUS.another 2 cases as"lamellar"model and the other 2 cases as heterogeneous intensity.However,in diffuse type,22 cases were enhanced heterogeneously with"barrier"signs in 5 cases,"map"signs in 9 cases and"lamellar"signs in 8 cases.the remaining 2 cases of diffuse type enhanced as homogeneous model.The sensitivity and specificity of heterogeneous enhancement in diagnosing diffuse type of advanced gastric cancer was 91.7%and 88.2%respectively,and the Youden's index was 0.8.Conclusions DCUS could be considered as a new valuable method to distinguish the Lauren classification and evaluate the invasiveness,metastasis and prognosis in patients with gastric carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of double contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (DCUS)in Borrmann classification of advanced gastric carcinoma preoperatively. Methods A total of 69 patients with advanced gastric carcinoma were examined by ultrasound after taking oral contrast agent and bolus injection of SonoVue preoperatively.A comparison with final pathologic results was made after surgery. Results The accuracy of oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and DCUS in Borrmann classification of advanced gastric cancer were 78.3%and 91.3%,respectively.There was a significant difference between two methods(X2=4.087,P＜0.05).In addition,Kappa value of two methods were 0.73 and 0.90,respectively.Conclusions DCUS is a new valuable method for Borrmann classification with its high accuracy preoperatively.

Objective To investigate the value of oral and intravenous contrast enhanced ultrasonography-double contrast ultrasonography (DCUS) in the evaluation of differentiation degree of gastric cancer. Methods Fifty-three patients who had been diagnosed as gastric cancer by gastroscope and confirmed by pathology after operation were examined by DCUS, and they were divided into moderately to well differentiated group and poorly differentiated group. The correlation of size and enhancement features of the lesions was compared with differentiation degree of gastric cancer. Results The size and enhancement distribution of lesions were markedly correlated with the degree of differentiation. The baseline intensity(BI)in poorly differentiated group was lower than that in well and moderately differentiated group[(0.52±1.12)dB vs (1.53±1.87) dB, P<0.05], but enhanced intensity(EI) was higher than that in the second group [(26.22±3.69)dB vs (23.69±5.02)dB, P<0.05]. Conclusions DCUS could initial evaluate the degree of differentiation of gastric cancer before operation.

Aim To investigate the effects of ursolic acid from loquat leaves on proliferation inhibition and expression of PPAR-γ 、TGF-β1 in rat hepatic stellate cells, so as to explore the mechanism of anti-hepatic fibrosis of UA.Methods HSC-T6 cells were randomly divided into blank group, rosiglitazone control group, the low, medium and high concentration of UA group to detect the cell proliferation inhibition by CCK-8 after 24,48,72 h.The content of type collagen Ⅰ in cell culture supernatant of each group was examined by ELISA.The expression of PPAR-γ mRNA, TGF-β1 mRNA in HSC-T6 cells exposured were examined by real-time quantitative PCR.Effects on HSC-T6 PPAR-γ and TGF-β1 protein from each group were detected by immunocytochemical method.Results CCK-8 results showed that the inhibitory rate of UA on cell proliferation increased with the prolongation of drug action time(P<0.01).ELISA results showed that with the increase of the concentration of UA, the content of type Ⅰ collagen content decreased(P<0.01).Real-time PCR results showed that with the increase of the concentration of UA, and the expression of PPAR-γ mRNA increased, the expression of TGF-β1 mRNA decreased(P<0.01).The results of immunocytochemistry showed that the expression of PPAR-γ protein was increased, and the expression of TGF-β1 protein was decreased with the increase of the concentration of UA(P<0.01).All effects mentioned above were dose-dependent.Moreover, the effects in the high concentration groups were stronger than those in control group.Conclusion UA can inhibit the proliferation of HSC-T6 cells, Which may be associated with the up-regulation of PPAR-γ expression and the down-regulation of TGF-β1 expression.
