Non-invasive coronary artery angiography is one of the hotspots of imaging.This article reviewed the status and the relevant advancement of the cardiac EBCT, DSCT, MSCT and MR imaging.

Objective To assess hemodynamics of pulmonary arterial flow and to count the pulmonary artery diastolic pressure (PADP) by analysis using velocity study of main pulmonary with phase-contrast MR imaging. Methods The diameter、velocity and the maximal retrograde velocity of main pulmonary artery in 45 patients were measured with phase-contrast MR imaging and compared with cardiac catheterization. The accuracy and specificity of PADP measured with phase-contrast MR imaging were evaluated by relativity and regression analysis. Results The PADP measured with phase-contrast MR imaging was (4.82?1.24) mm Hg and that measured with right cardiac catheterization was (4.52?2.00) mm Hg in 40 patients with pulmonary regurgitation. American medical colleges attach great importance to the humanistic education.The rich humanities curriculum is fully integrated into the teaching practice thus the mutual penetration of medicine and the humanities is achieved.They have specific and detailed examination evaluation system and the teaching method was more practical and participatory.By contrast,nost of the medical colleges in our country neglect the humanities construction and the cultivation of medical students' humanistic spirit.The coverage of the humanities curriculum is relatively narrow and the faculty is insufficient.We should promote the development of humanistic cducation,attach importance to the construction of medical humanities,set up appropriate curriculum system,increase the investment in faculty and reform the teaching method and examination method.

Objective To evaluate the category of the variations on bilateral renal artery and clinical significance with 64-slice spiral CT angiography. Methods CT angiography of 250 patients were retrospectively analyzed. The variations on bilateral renal artery were observed and classified. Results According to the number of the main renal artery, the anatomy of renal artery was classified and typed in details. The incidence of the variations on renal artery in the patients and kidneys was 39.20% (98/250) and 22.80% (114/500), respectively. The incidence of early branch of the main renal artery and accessory renal artery was 9.60% (48/500) and 11.80% (59/500), respectively. No statistical difference of variation incidence was found between male and female, nor between left and right kidneys. The incidence of unilateral and bilateral variations on renal artery was 32.80% (82/250) and 6.40% (16/250), respectively, and the combinations of the latter were multiform. Conclusion Anatomical variations on renal artery can be showed clearly with 64-slice spiral CT angiography. Variations on bilateral renal artery are important to select the donor in case of renal transplantation.

Objective To evaluate the value of multislice spiral CT in preoperative staging of bladder carcinoma.Methods Eighty-two patients(78 males and 4 females)with pathologically proved bladder carcinoma and the radiology materials were retrospectively analyzed.All the diagnosis results were compared with the results of surgical pathology.Results The location accuracy and qualitation accuracy in the diagnosis of bladder carcinoma with spiral CT WaS 78.0%(64/82)and 93.9%(77/82)respectively.Compared with the results of surgical pathology,the accuracy of judgement in bladder surrounding involvement,lymph node metastasis and surrounding organ involvement with CT was 90.2%(74/82),96.3%(79/82)and 89.0%(73/82),respectively.The CT staging of bladder carcinoma was positively correlated to that of surgical pathology.Conclusions Spiral CT has high value in the diagnosis of bladder carcinoma.It could be adopted as a conventional and main examination of bladder carcinoma before operation.

Objective To introduce the applied value of Soap-Bubble reformatting and quantitative analysis of coronary MRA.Methods Reformatting and quantitative coronary of 3D coronary MRA were performed in twenty cases by using Soap-Bubble visualization following computer-assisted image segmentation respectively.The average vessel length,diameter and sharpness of coronary vessel can be measured.The imaging of coronary vessel was quantitative analyzed.Results 3D coronary MRA was successfully completed in 20 cases.The average vessel length of RCA /LM+LAD/LCX was(111?31) mm/(84?14) mm/(48?12) mm.The average vessel diameter of RCA /LM+LAD/LCX was(3.0?0.4 mm)/(2.9?0.3) mm/(2.4?0.2) mm.The sharpness of RCA /LM+LAD/LCX was(44?13)%/(43?15)%/(31?18)%.Conclusion Soap-Bubble enables the simultaneous display of multiple coronary segments in one 2D representation.The coronary vessel can be quantitative analyzed.

Objective To analyze proton MR spectroscopy (1H-MRS) characteristics of kidney in vivo, and to investigate the changes and applications of metabolites of kidney on 3.0T MR. Methods Fifteen patients with renal cell carcinoma and 50 healthy volunteers underwent single-voxel PRESS sequence MR scan on 3.0T scanner. Results Satisfied spectra of 13 patients and 48 volunteers were obtained. There were four main groups resonance peak: cholesterol and the unsaturated parts of the olefinic region of fatty acids (Chol+Unsat), water, choline metabolites (Cho) and lipids (Lip). The ratio of the Chol+Unsat to Lip was 5-fold lower in renal cell carcinomas group than that in contrast group (F=4.764, P=0.04). Conclusion A number of chemical compounds pertaining to metabolism in kidney can be quantitative analyzed, which may offer assistance for diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma.

In conventional ear implantation surgery, clinical physicians usually make a surgery planning based on their observation on series of 2D X-ray images or CT images. Such a planning method requires the physicians to have a high level of clinical experience. Besides, the whole operation is unintuitive, and might have certain risk. Considering these facts, we have developed a computer-aided system for the surgery planning of the implantation of artificial ear based on CT imaging and 3D reconstruction techniques. The system effectively overcomes the main drawbacks in conventional surgery planning techniques, and it makes the surgery planning procedure more precise, safe, and intuitive.

Objective To validate a chemical shift-encoded MRI(CSE-MRI)water-fat imaging for quantifying vertebral marrow fat content using MRS as the reference standard.Methods MRS and CSE-MRI were performed to calculate proton density fat fraction(PDFF) in 83 subjects,including 41 normal bone mass,26 osteopenia and 16 osteoporosis.Eight participants were scanned three times with repositioning to assess the repeatability of CSE-MRI PDFF measurements.Agreements of intra-observer and inter-observer were evaluated by intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC).Linear regression,Bland-Altman 95% limit of agreement and Lin's concordance correlation coefficient were calculated.Results The repeatability for CSE-MRI PDFF measurements expressed as absolute precision error was 1.45%.PDFF was 62.1%±11.1% by MRS and 60.4%±10.1% by CSE-MRI in 83 subjects.There were significant differences in PDFF among the normal bone mass,osteopenia and osteoporosis groups after adjusting for age,years since menopause and body mass index (all P<0.001).The intra-and inter-rater reliability for duplicate measurements at CSE-MRI PDFF were more than 0.993.Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.979 and Lin's concordance correlation coefficient was 0.962.All data points calculated using the Bland-Altman method were within the limits of agreement.Inverse associations were observed between BMD (r=-0.560--0.710)and CSE-MRI-based PDFF,and between BMD (r=-0.539--0.706)and MRS-based PDFF in various groups.Conclusion CSE-MRI with multiple lipids peak model and T2?-correction is equally accurate in characterizing marrow fat content as MRS.
