Objective: To compare and analyze the maxillary lingual arch forms of ClassⅠmalocclusions after extraction and non-extraction treatment respectively. Methods: 60(30 with extraction, 30 non-extraction)maxillary dental models of ClassⅠmalocclusions after orthodontic treatment were measured in lingual arch widths and depths. The data were analyzed by statistical methods and the charts of lingual arch forms were drawn. Results: The lingual arch widths and depths in anterior segments of the extraction group were significantly larger than those of the non-extraction group(P0.05). The lingual arch forms of the two groups were similar in anterior segments, and more different in premolar and first molar segments, but similar from the distal lingual cusp of the first molars. Conclusion: The lingual arch forms of the two groups are similar in appearances, but the anterior segments of the extraction group are deeper than that of the non-extraction group.

Objective To study acute toxicity of nanometer titanium dioxide to the liver and kidney of mice. Methods 20 KM mice (22-26 g) were randomly divided into two groups, the control group and the experimental group, TiO2 (20-30 nm) suspension (single dose of 5 g/kg body weight) was given to mice by a single oral gavage, the mice in the control group were given the physiologicalsaline. 14 days after the treatment, the mice were sacrificed and the serum were collected to evaluate the levels of ALT(alanine amino transferase), AST(aspartate aminotransferase), ALP(alkaline phosphatase), UA(uric acid), Cr(creatinine),BUN(blood urea nitrogen), CK(creatine kinase), LDH(lactate-dehydrogenase), ?-HBDH(alpha-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase), TBIL(total bilirubin levels). Objective To explore the feasibility and effectiveness of gradient elastic compression stockings in prevention of venous stasis in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC). Methods 160 LC patients were randomized into the experimental group(75 cases)and the control group (85 cases).Routine nursing care and treatment were performed in both groups,and gradient elastic compression stockings were used in the experimental group.Venous pressure was measured in four different periods (T1,T2,T3,T4). Results The venous pressure in T2,T3 and T4 in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group. Conclusions Use of gradient elastic compression stockings is effective and feasible in preventing LC-induced venous stasis.

Objective: To investigate the effects and mechanism of microscrew implant anchorage (MIA) in speeding up the closure of extraction space by one step and retraction of anterior teeth. Methods: Twenty-three patients with teeth extraction and required strong posterior anchorage were treated with MIA to close the extraction space. The extraction spaces were closed by two methods respectively. The extraction spaces were closed by the method of one step and retraction of anterior teeth(Ni-Ti spring from MIA to the hook on the wire combined with the elastic pull from MIA to cuspid) on the experiment sides and by the traditional one step method(Ni-Ti spring from MIA to the hook on the wire alone) on the control sides. Which side treated as trial side or control side was selected at random. The period of the space closing, the way and position of anterior teeth movement were observed on each side and the period of the space closing of two sides were tested by paired t test. Results: ①The average period of the spaces closing which was (6.69±1.07) months on the trial side and (9.56±1.19) months on the control side was significantly different (P<0.05).② After the closure of extraction spaces, the cuspid achived better position on the trial side than the contral side on which cuspid presented distal-lingual rotation. Conclusion: The extraction spaces can be closed in all cases by two methods respectively. Using MIA to close the extraction space by one step and retraction of anterior teeth can not only shorten the period of space closing but also achieve nice outcome by moving the cuspid in spongy bone.

Objective:To explore the effects of Bailing capsules combined with salvianolate on inflammatory cytokines, renal vas-cular endothelia and renal function in diabetic nephropathy inⅣphase. Methods:Totally 60 patients with diabetic nephropathy in IV phase were randomly divided into the control group (30 cases) and the treatment group (30 cases). The control group was given the conventional and salvianolate therapy, and the treatment group was treated with Bailing capsules additionally. The treatment course was 3 months. The changes of serum creatine(SCr), urean itrogen (BUN), creatinine clearance rate (Ccr), ethelin (ET-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were detected before and after the treatment. Results:After the 3-month treatment, SCr, BUN, IL-6, TNF-a, CRP and ET-1 were significantly decreased in the two groups with statistical signifi-cance, and Ccr was significantly increased in the treatment group (P<0. 05), and the changes in the treatment group were significant-ly better than those in the control group (P<0. 05). After the treatment, the blood glucose, blood lipids, glycosylated hemoglobin and the other indicators had no significant changes in the two groups (P>0. 05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups (P>0. 05). Conclusion:The combination of Bailing capsules and salvianolate can re-duce the inflammatory reaction and improve renal vascular endothelial function and renal function in the patients with diabetic nephrop-athy in Ⅳ phase with promising safety and few adverse reactions.
