In order to study the antitumor effect of human tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-?)gene modified fibroblasts, we have transfered TNF-? cDNA to fibroblasts NIH3T3 by a bicistronic retroviral vector pGCEN/TNF-?, which expressed TNF-? from the long terminal repeat and the selectable Neo~R from the encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) internal ribo-some entry site(IRES) . The results indicated that TNF-? modified NTH3T3, NIH3T3/TNF-? ,were able to express TNF-? at a high level for a long term culture. Furthermore, these modified fibroblasts could inhibit tumor progression signifi-cantly(P
2.Expression of 5-lipoxygenase in human tissues and its association with disease.
Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2015;40(4):438-445
5-Lipoxygenase, one of lipoxygenase isozymes, is a well-studied oxidative metabolism enzyme. It widely exists in various human tissues and cells, participates in the oxidative metabolism of endogenous and exogenous chemicals, and produces a variety of metabolites, all of which contribute to the occurrence of human diseases, such as inflammation, asthma, atherosclerosis, and tumor and so on. The expression of 5-lipoxygenase is at low level in normal human tissues while at high level in abnormal tissues. 5-Lipoxygenase is closely related to many kinds of diseases in human ovary, brain, cardiovascular system, lung, liver, pancreas and other tissues. The abnormal expression of 5-lipoxygenase tends to promote the development of the disease.

Objective To analyze the detection level and distribution characteristics of occupational contraindications in pre-employment occupational health examination, and to provide a reference for relevant management departments to strengthen the control of personnel exposed to occupational hazards. Methods The data of pre-employment occupational health examination of 2 626 workers in a vehicle manufacturing enterprise from September 2018 to December 2020 were collected. The detection rate of occupational contraindications was calculated according to the judgement standard, and the distribution of occupational contraindications in different gender, length of service and age was analyzed. Results The detection rate of occupational contraindications was 13.71%, and there was no significant difference between the genders. The detection rate in the 40-45 years old group was the highest (31.75%), and the difference among the different age groups was statistically significant (χ2=30.16, P<0.01). Among the workers with different length of occupational employment, the detection rate was the highest in the group with 20-25 working years (30.65%), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=30.20, P<0.01). Conclusion Relevant departments should strengthen the occupational health supervision and management of vehicle manufacturing enterprises and urge enterprises to pay attention to the pre-job occupational health examination as well as the health of workers.

Objective To understand the situation of butanone exceeding the standard in the maintenance post of inkjet printer, and the measures and process of rectification in an electronic enterprise, and to provide reference for the management of over-standard posts in the same type of enterprises. Methods The relevant data were collected through on-site occupational health survey, process improvement and on-site detection. The rationality and feasibility of rectification of posts exceeding the standard were analyzed. Results Through many on-site process improvements, the posts were set up separately and effective protective facilities were added, and the concentration of butanone in the posts exceeding the standard was reduced from 894.2 mg/m3 (>5 OELs) to 4.4 mg/m3 (≤ 10% OELs), which was in line with the occupational exposure limit specified in the national standard. Conclusion The enterprise has successfully completed the rectification of the excessive concentration of butanone in the inkjet printer maintenance posts. It is an effective way to reduce the concentration of occupational hazards by setting up posts independently and adopting closed ventilation protection measures.
