OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects and safety of atorvastatin combined with probucol on the vascular elasticity in patienits with hypertension. METHODS:246 hypertensive patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group,123 cases in each group. All patients received conventional antigypertensive treatment, based on it,control group was given 10 mg Atorvastatin tablet,qd;observation group was additionally given 0.25 g Probucol tablet,qd,on the basis of control group. They were treated for 1 year. Clinical efficacy, lipid levels(total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol),cystatin C (Cys-C),C-reactive protein (CRP),elastic parameters of common carotid artery and lower limb artery(stiffness,pressure-strain elastic modulus, compliance, augmentation index, pulse wave velocity)before and af-ter treatment in 2 groups were observed, and the incidence of adverse reactions was compared. RESULTS:Before treatment, there were no significant differences in lipid levels,Cys-C,CRP and elastic parameters of common carotid artery and lower between 2 groups (P>0.05);after treatment, the above-mentioned indexes were significantly improved, and the improvement degree in ob-servation group was superior to control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). And there were no severe ad-verse reactions during treatment in both 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Atorvastatin combined with probucol can improve lipid level and elasticity of common carotid artery and lower limb artery, with good safety.

Military Medical Sciences 2017;41(3):213-217
Objective To isolate and identify anti-tumor constituents from Lysimachia christinae Hance. Methods The compounds were isolated and purified by chromategraphy on AB-8 macroporous resin, silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, ODS and preparative HPLC.Their structures were elucidated using chemical and spectroscopic methods. All thecompounds obtained were evaluated on their growth inhibitory effects in vitro using the MTT method. Results Eleven compounds were isolated from the whole plant of L.christinae Hance and were identified as 3,3'-dimethoxy-6,6'-di[(Z)-pentadec-10-en-1-yl]-[1,1'-bi(cyclohexane)]-3,3',6,6'-tetraene-2,2',5,5'-tetraone(1),physcion(2),munjistin(3), 9,16-dioxooctadec-10,12,14-trienoic acid(4),cyclamiretinA-3-O-{β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)]-α-L-arabinopyranoside(5),lysikoianoside(6),quercetin-3-O-glucopyranoside(7),isorhamnetin3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside(8),3',4',5',5,7-pentahydroxyflavone(9), rutin(10), and quercetin(11).The screening results of antitumor activity in vitro showed that IC50 of compound 5 for human cervical carcinoma cells HeLa, human osteosarcoma cells U20S, human lung adenocarcinoma cells PC-9,and human colorectal carcinoma cells CT-26 was 2.29, 1.22, 1.43, and 1.29 μmol/L respectively. Conclusion Compound 1 is a new compound and compounds 2-4 are isolated from the plants of Lysimachia for the first time.Compound 5 shows obvious inhibitory effects on tumor cell growth in vitro.

Angiogenesis is an important pathophysiological process of body response after cerebral ischemia.Angiogenesis is activated in a few hours after cerebral ischemia. It can promote neuronal remodeling and neurological function recovery.Studies have shown that the microvessel density is positively correlated with the long-term survival rate in patients with stroke after cerebral ischemia. This article reviews the regulatory mechanisms and imaging evaluation of angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia.

Objective To determine the effectiveness and complications of tension-free vaginal tape obturator procedure(TVT-O)as a new surgical treatment method for female stress urinary incontinence (SUI).Methods TVT-O was undergone for 36 female patients with established SUI(including 16 mild cases,18 moderate cases and two severe cases)and two cases with mixed urinary incontinence(MUI).Operation time and intra-operation bleeding in the patients were analyzed. The patients were followed-up to observe the effectiveness and complications of this new procedure. Results Age of the 38 patients undergone with this procedure averaged 56.4 years, with a mean operation time of 38.3 minutes, ranging from 30 to 50 minutes.Patients were followed up for two to 29 months(averaging 12.7 months),with four cases lost to follow-up.No bladder or urethral injuries, and no vascular(hematoma or bleeding)and neurological complications were encountered in 38 of them after the procedure.Among four cases(10.5percent)complicated with urinary retention, catheter was removed in ten to 14 days after its indwelling in three cases, with residual urine less than 100 ml.Only one patient still had dysuria nine days after catheter indwelling, but her symptoms improved by adjusting the position of sling to the middle of her urethra under local anesthesia.Twenty-seven cases(71.1 percent)were fully cured without any subjective symptoms left, symptoms improved in four cases(10.5 percent),no response in two cases(5.3 percent),and symptoms of SUI disappeared in one case of MUI,but no release in her urgency urinary incontinence. Conclusions TVT-O procedure is a mini-invasive,safe,effective,accurate and quick surgical operation in treatment for female SUI,unnecessary with regular cystoscopy during the procedure. But its long-term effectiveness is still under follow-up and observation.
