Objective To evaluate surgical therapies in patients with popliteal aneurysms (PA).Method The clinical data of 25 PA patients admitted from January 1988 to January 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.There were 21 men and 4 women,the mean age was (56 ± 16)years.There were 27 PA in these 25 patients,with bilateral PA in 2 cases.The main symptoms were pulsatile mass in the popliteal fossa,limb pain,acute or chronic distal limb ischemia and limb edema.Result In this series 23out of 25 PA cases recieved operations,17 of them were treated with aneurysmectomy and saphenous vein interposition or bypass grafting,4 of them were treated with aneurysmectomy and prosthetic grafts interposition,1 was treated with aneurism ligation and 1 underwent end-to-end anastomosis after aneurysm resection.There was no perioperative mortality.One patient recieved amputation for distal anastomotic thrombosis and severe limb ischemia.The mean follow-up time is (6.5 ± 0.5) years.After 4 years,a right subclavian artery aneurysm was found in a bilateral PA case and treated surgically.Conclusions Early elective surgical treatment is recommended for patients with PA because PA may go rupture or induce dital limb ischemia and these patients may have good outcome after surgical treatment.Long-term follow-up is warranted to detect the new aneurysm formation.

Objective To report our surgical experience in treating 19 cases of solitary iliac aneurysms (SIA). Methods The clinical data of 19 consecutive patients with SIA between January 1985 and January 2008 were retrospectively reviewed. There were 18 men and 1 woman, aging from 39 to 77 years ( mean 62 ± 7 years). Results There were 30 SIAs in the 19 patients, including 25 ( 83.3% ) common iliac aneurysms, 4 (13.3%) internal ihac aneurysms and 1 (3. 3% ) external iliac aneurysm. Eleven patients ( 57.9% ) had multiple ancurysms, with 9 patients ( 47.4% ) having bilateral SIA. Two patients had coexistent peripheral vascular occlusive disease. There were 2 patients suffering form ruptured SIA, one was saved by emergency operation and one died before an surgery could be attempted. Seventeen patients underwent successful open aneurysmectomy and artificial graft implantation leaving no ischemic complications of the pelvic organs. One patient with right common iliac aneurysm underwent endovascular repair without endoleak. There was no operative death during porioperative period. The surviving patients remained stable and had good patency of grafts during the follow-up period. Conclusions Early management of SIA is important, CT angiogarphy (CTA) is necessary not only to evaluate the SIAs, but also to detect multiple aneurysms or arterial occlusive disease. Close and long-term follow-up is mandatory for the early detection of the formation of new anearysms.

Objective To evaluate risk factors of the prognosis in acute arterial embolism of the upper extremities. Methods The clinical data of 62 consecutive patients admired in our hospital with the diagnosis of acute arterial embolism in the upper extremities, from July 1988 to January 2008, were retrospectively reviewed. The risk factors including age, gender, cardiac function, location of embolism, embolectomy and duration of iaehemia were analyzed by cumulative Loots regression. Results There were 62 patients, 33 men and 29 worsen, with a mean age of 63. 5 years (35～86 years). Among them, 37 patients received Fogarty embolectomy and 25 patients received medical treatment including thrombolysis, anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy because of poor risk for surgery. The iachemic status meliorated in 55 patients (88.7%) with 2 patients receiving amputation and 2 patients dying during the peri-operative period. The result of cursulative Logits regression shewed that the duration of ischemia, cardiac function and embolectomy played the significant role on the prognosis (P < 0.01 ), but age, sex and the location of embolism did not show the significant role. In those only receiving the medical treatment, 23 patients restored blood flow to different degree. Conclusions Embolectomy with Fogarty catheter within 8 hours of onset was the most effective treatment for acute arterial embolism in the upper extremities. For peor-risk patients, early medical treatment including thrombolysis, antieoagulation and antiplatelet treatment, can also restore the blood flow in the isehemie limbs.

BACKGROUND:Human amniotic epithelial cells are an important source of cells in regenerative medicine as its multipotentation, but new studies mainly focused on differentiation features and there were little research oneffect of culture in vitro on biological property of amniotic epithelial cells.
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the effects of in vitro culture on growth, cellphenotype and differentiation capacity of human amniotic epithelial cells into cardiomyocyte-like cells, and explore the correlation of primarily cultured human amniotic epithelial cells marker SSEA-4 expression level and the change of biological characteristics of human amniotic epithelial cells.
METHODS:Primarily cultured human amniotic epithelial cells were obtained from amniotic tissues by using the same separation protocol. Human amniotic epithelial cells were cultured in vitro. The proliferation, cellphenotype and the differentiation capacity of human amniotic epithelial cells into cardiomyocyte-like cells were evaluated by means of cellcounting kit-8, flow cytometry and real-time PCR.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The SSEA-4 positive cells in primarily cultured human amniotic epithelial cells from different fetal tissues were between 26.7%-97%, which indicated that there was great individual difference among amniotic tissue samples. Moreover, with passage, the SSEA-4 expression in human amniotic epithelial cells decreased significantly, which did not correlate with the SSEA-4 expression in primarily cultured human amniotic epithelial cells. Results indicated that there was great individual difference in SSEA-4 expression level in primarily cultured human amniotic epithelial cells from different amniotic tissue samples. Thus, it is necessary to set up clinical screening indexes to get samples with higher SSEA-4 expression stably and to control the quality of human amniotic epithelial cells. In addition, during culture period, SSEA-4 expression level was affected by culture conditions. The culture conditions of human amniotic epithelial cells should be optimized to maintain SSEA-4 expression at a high level. In addition, the differentiation capacity of human amniotic epithelial cells into cardiomyocyte-like cells was also affected by individual difference among different samples and culture conditions, which wil be further studied in the future.

Objective: To explore the association between Vitamin A, E and mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children. Methods: 153 children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and 653 health children were selected as cases and controls, respectively. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis were conducted to reducing confounding bias between groups. Blood samples were collected to test serum levels of vitamin A and E using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Logistic regression was implemented to determine odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for evaluating the association of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia with the serum levels of Vitamin A and E. Results: After propensity score matching, the study cohort included 153 cases with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and 306 health children as controls. Before matching, with age and gender adjusted, logistic regression analysis indicated that higher serum levels of Vitamin A and E led to a lower risk of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (OR=0.075, 95% CI: 0.007-0.815; OR=0.854, 95% CI: 0.792-0.986). After matching, higher serum level of Vitamin E had a significantly lower risk of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (OR=0.877, 95% CI: 0.810-0.950). Conclusions The serum levels of Vitamin A didn't have a statistically significant association with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. However, we observed an obvious association between Vitamin E and mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Hence Vitamin E clinical monitoring and supplementation are vital for preventing and treating mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.

With accelerated aging process of the population, femoral intertrochanteric fractures have gradually become another major social health problem in China. Internal fixation is still the gold standard treatment for the fractures. Fracture reduction is the first step of the treatment and also the first element that affects the treatment efficacy. It is still controversial in clinical practice how to evaluate the quality of fracture reduction during internal fixation of the fractures. This article systematically expounds and analyzes the 7 systems of judging criteria for the reduction of intertrochanteric fractures from the aspects of fracture alignment, fracture apposition, difference in judgment criteria, and difference in imaging methods, in order to provide a reference for reaching consensus and improving curative effects.

Objective:To investigate the difference of vitamin A and E levels in children with different respiratory diseases at different ages.Methods:A total of 671 children in Hunan Children's Hospital from July 2017 to October 2019 were selected as the disease group, including 197 cases of pneumonia, 152 cases of recurrent respiratory tract infection, 91 cases of asthma, 88 cases of cough variant asthma and 143 cases of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia; At the same time, 245 healthy children were selected as the normal group. The serum vitamin A and vitamin E levels of the two groups were detected by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Results:⑴ The vitamin A level [(0.31±0.09)mg/L] of the disease group was lower than the normal group [(0.35±0.25)mg/L], and the vitamin E level [(8.92±2.57)mg/L] was lower than the normal group [(9.62±2.79)mg/L], with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05); ⑵ The level of vitamin A in the disease group at the age of >1-3 years [(0.32±0.09)mg/L] was lower than that in the normal group of the same age group [(0.35±0.08)mg/L]; the level of vitamin A in the disease group at the age of >3-6 years old [(0.30±0.08)mg/L] was lower than that of the same age group [(0.32±0.07)mg/L], with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05); ⑶ The vitamin E level of the disease group at >1-3 years old [(9.23±2.56)mg/L], >3-6 [(8.02±1.86)mg/L] and >6-14 years old [(8.02±1.82)mg/L] were lower than that of the same age normal group [(9.76±2.81)mg/L, (9.67±2.87)mg/L, (9.19±2.58)mg/L], with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05); ⑷ There were significant differences in vitamin A levels among different age in disease group ( P<0.05). Among them, the children with high risk of subclinical deficiency accounted for the largest proportion (45.78%) in the 6-month-1-year-old group, and the proportion of children with normal vitamin A levels in other age groups was the largest; ⑸ There are significant differences in vitamin E levels in different age groups in the disease group ( P<0.05), the levels in the normal range accounts for the largest proportion of all ages; ⑹ The levels of vitamin A and vitamin E in mycoplasma pneumoniae infection group were increased compared with in recurrent respiratory infection group , asthma group, and cough variant asthma group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Compared with the pneumonia group, the level of vitamin E increased in the recurrent respiratory infection group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05); The vitamin E levels in the cough variant asthma group were reduced compared with the repeated respiratory infection group, asthma group and pneumonia group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The Vitamin A and E levels of children suffering from respiratory diseases are lower than those of normal children. The Vitamin A and E levels of different respiratory diseases and different age groups are different. Vitamin A and E supplementation may be significantly targeted according to different ages and different respiratory diseases in clinical practice.

OBJECTIVE: According to the digital image features of corneal opacity, a multi classification model of support vector machine (SVM) was established to explore the objective quantification method of corneal opacity. METHODS: The cornea digital images of dead pigs were collected, part of the color features and texture features were extracted according to the previous experience, and the SVM multi classification model was established. The test results of the model were evaluated by precision, sensitivity and RESULTS: In the classification of corneal opacity, the highest CONCLUSIONS The SVM multi classification model can classify the degree of corneal opacity.

OBJECTIVE: To classify Right Bundle Branch Block (RBBB),Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB) and normal ECG signals automatically. METHODS: The MIT-BIH database was used as experimental data sources.The training set and test set were extracted for training and testing network models.Based on convolutional neural network,this paper proposed the core algorithm:sparse connection residual network.Compared the sparse connected residual network with classic network models,then evaluated the recognition effect of the model. RESULTS: The accuracy of the test set the MIT-BIH database was 95.2%,the result is better than classic network models. CONCLUSIONS The algorithm proposed in this paper can assist doctors in the diagnosis of heart block related disease and place a high value on clinical application.

OBJECTIVE: Identifying Atrial Ventricular Hypertrophy Electrocardiogram (AVH ECG)and diagnosing the classification of theirs automatically. METHODS: The ECG data used in this experiment was collected from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University. CNN are combined with conventional methods and a 10 layers of one dimensional CNN are created in this experiment to extract the features of ECG signals automatically and achieve the function of classifying. ROC, sensitivity and F1-score are used here to evaluate the effects of the model. RESULTS: In the experiment of identifying AVH ECG, the AUC of test dataset is 0.991, while in the experiment of classifying AVH ECG, the maximal F1-score can reach 0.992. CONCLUSIONS The CNN model created in this experiment can achieve the auxiliary diagnosis of AVH ECG.
