A deep impact on the development of marine pharmaceutical science will be benefit- ed from the inter-disciplined combination of marine science and pharmaceutical science with information technology. Applications of such technologies as obtaining information trough Internet,database-on-the-Inter and virtual reality will greatly modify and accelerate the processes of discovering and developing marine drugs derived from marine bioresources. The concept of "virtual research on marine drug" was proposed for the first time in this paper, and the first professional net on marine drugs was build. The virtual research center for marine drugs was also build on the Internet and will be made more resourceful in the future.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Reaction of chitosan with glucose, galactose and lactose was performed in lactic acid MeOH to give corresponding schiff's base derivatives, the following reduction was carried out in the presence of sodium cyanoborohydride to prepare branched chain water soluble chitosan derivatives. The structure of derivatives were Confirmed by 1 HNMR and 13 CNMR.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2001;0(05):-
Quaternary ammonium glucosamine conjugatewas prepared by a two step procedure.First, condensation of glucosamine hydrochloride with chloro acetic chloride in the presence of potassium bicarbonate in aqueous medium at 0℃ provided the N chloroacetyl derivative in 74% yield.Subsequent reaction of this intermediate with pyridine at 40℃ for 3 days gave the pyridinium conjugate in 71% yield. The structures of compounds were confirmed by IR,NMR spectra and element analysis.

Objective Laryngeal and upper esophageal foreign bodies are common diseases, we explored a new and simple method to remove these foreign bodies. Methods The clinical data of 177 patients with laryngeal and upper esophageal foreign bodies from June 2008 to January 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. We used two methods to treat these foreign bodies:130 foreign bodies were directly removed under video endoscopy;47 foreign bodies were removed with suspension laryngoscopy, and video endoscopy was used meanwhile. Result 177 laryngeal and upper esophageal foreign bodies were removed well, without severe complications like esophageal perforation or phyryngeal fistula. Conclusion Removing esophageal and laryngeal foreign bodies with video endoscopy is simple, safe and effective.

A total of 30 cats were used in this experiment. The nucleus raphe magnus wasinjected with 0.1~0.3?l of 25~50% HRP solution(RZ:2.4~3.1).Two or three daysafter operation, the animals were killed and then perfused with the fixing fluid.Thebrainstem and spinal cord were sectioned serially on a freezing microtome and treatedaccording to the method of retrograde axonal transport of horseradish peroxidase.Parts of the sections were counterstained with toloidine-blue.The labelled neuronswere examined microscopically under bright-field and dark-field illumination Thelabelled neurons were distributed as follows. After injections of nucleus raphe magnus,a few labelled neurons were foundin the medial part of parafascicular nucleus of the thalamus.A greater numbers oflabelled cells were consistently found in the ventrolateral area of the central greymatter of the midbrain. The dorsal nucleus of the midbrain raphe had a few labelled neurons. The HRPpositive neurons were found in the nucleus Darkschewitsch, mesencephalic reticularformation, nucleus reticularis gigantocellularis, nucleus reticularis paramedianus, nucleus vestibularis medialis and nucleus vestibularis lateralis. In some cases a fewlabelled cells were also seen in the posterior area of hypothalamus, nucleus posteriorcommissure, nucleus tegmentalis dorsalis, superior collicus, nucleus annularis, reticularformation of the pons, nucleus nervi facialis and nucleus gracilis. In summary, the present studies show that the afferent connections of nucleusraphe magnus are widely concerned with the structures of the pain control.Itsuggests that the nucleus raphe magnus is an important relay station for pain control.

N alkylated Partially deacetylated chitin(DAC 85)was prepared via reductive N alkylation in aceques MeOH with lauraldehyde.Further,O carboxymethlation of N alkylatedchitosan was performed in 55% NaOH with carboxymethy chloride.A new type amphiphilic chitosan derivative was achieved.Elementary analysis and IR spectrume was performed to study the characterization of the chitosan derivative.
