2.Single-allergen Sublingual Immunotherapy versus Multi-allergen Subcutaneous Immunotherapy for Children with Allergic Rhinitis
Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2017;37(3):407-411
It has always been controversial whether a single allergen performs better than multiple allergens in polysensitized patients during the allergen-specific immunotherapy. This study aimed to examine the clinical efficacy of single-allergen sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) versus multi-allergen subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) and to discover the change of the biomarker IL-4 after 1-year immunotherapy in polysensitized children aged 6-13 years with allergic rhinitis (AR) induced by house dust mites (HDMs).The AR polysensitized children (n=78) were randomly divided into two groups:SLIT group and SCIT group.Patients in the SLIT group sublingually received a single HDM extract and those in the SCIT group were subcutaneously given multiple-allergen extracts (HDM in combination with other clinically relevant allergen extracts). Before and 1 year after the allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT),the total nasal symptom scores (TNSS),total medication scores (TMS) and IL-4 levels in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were compared respectively between the two groups. The results showed that the TNSS were greatly improved, and the TMS and IL-4 levels were significantly decreased after 1-year ASIT in both groups (SLIT group:P<0.001;SCIT group:P<0.001).There were no significant differences in any outcome measures between the two groups (for TNSS:P>0.05;for TMS:P>0.05;for IL-4 levels:P>0.05).It was concluded that the clinical efficacy of single-allergen SLIT is comparable with that of multi-allergen SCIT in 6-13-year-old children with HDM-induced AR.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(5):415-416
ObjectiveTo observe the effects of acupuncture combined with massage on shoulder subluxation and motor function recovery of the upper extremities in patients with hemiplegia after stroke.Methods60 hemiplegic patients were randomly divided into two groups for treatment with acupuncture cooperates with massage or usual rehabilition, respectively. The recovery of the patient's shoulder subluxation and movement function of upper extremities were evaluated 2 months after treatment. ResultsThe shoulder subluxation and movement function of the upper extremities were improved after treatment with both therapies (P<0.01), and acupuncture cooperates with massage showed better effect (P<0.01). ConclusionAcupuncture cooperates with massage can facilitate the recovery of shoulder subluxation and motor function of the upper extremities after hemiplegia.

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of cerebral angio spasm after aneurysm rupture subarachmoid hemorrhage by Fasudil, Methods The clinical data of cerebral angio spasm after aneurysm rupture subarachnoid hemorrhage were retrospectively analyzed, which was divided into detection group and control group. Results The GCS score of detection group was better than control group;the average blood flow rate of arteria cerebri media after curing in detection group the difference had statistical significance( all P <0. 05 ). The mutilation rate、rate of death of detection group were lower than control goup, the difference had statistical significance ( P < 0. 05 ).Conclusion The clinical curative effect was good of cerebral angio spasm after aneurysm rupture subarachnoid hemorrhage by Fasudil, and prognosis was good.

Objective To investigate significance of interferon-γ/interleukin-4(IFN-γ/IL-4) and macrophages in uterus in early embryo loss (or resorption), and to elucidate the anti-abortive effect and the immunological modulation at maternal-fetal interface with quercetin and bornvl acetate. Methods Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)(0.10μg/mouse)was injected via tail vein in order to induce abortion in 7-day-gestation mice which received quercetin and bornvl acetate at days 4-7 of gestation. Levels of IFN-γ and IL-4 in uterus lysate supernatant were measured using enzyme-linked immuno-absorbent assay (ELISA), and uterine macrophages of each group ( n =10) were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The amount of macrophages was much higher in the uteri of LPS-induced abortion mice than that in control mice. The abortion rate of mouse declined to certain level. The therapy of quercetin combined with bornyl acetate reversed LPS-induced abortion. Conclusion The increase of IFN-γ/IL-4 and the amount of macrophages in the LPS-treated mouse uterus is associated with the embryo loss, and quercetin and bornyl acetate have the anti-abortive effect through modulation of maternal-fetal interface immunity balance.

In this paper, absorption and pharmacokinetic study of Radix Rehmanniae was studied by liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry method after oral administration to rats. By comparing the chromatograms of ultraviolet, full scan, extracted ion and selective reaction monitoring (SRM) of standard solution, Radix Rehmanniae, blank plasma and rat plasma post drug administration, catalpol and ajugol were found to be the main compounds absorbed from Radix Rehmanniae. Plasma concentrations of aucubin, dihydrocatalpol, rehmannioside A (or rehmannioside B/ melittoside) and rehmannioside D were very low. Quantitative method for catalpol and aucubin and semi-quantitative method for other compounds in rat plasma were established. The pharmacokinetic study of those absorbed components was conducted after oral administration of 6 g x kg(-1) Radix Rehmanniae water extract to rats. Cmax, t(1/2) and AUC(0-infinity) of catalpol and ajugol were (2349.05 +/- 1438.34) and (104.25 +/- 82.05) ng x mL(-1), (0.86 +/- 0.32) and (0.96 +/- 0.37) h, (4407.58 +/- 2734.89) and (226.66 +/- 188.38) ng x h x mL(-1), respectively. tmax was at 1.00 h for catalpol and ajugol. Both catalpol and ajugol were absorbed and excreted rapidly.

The State Key Specialized Scientific Projects bring the unprecedented opportunity for the development of variety disciplines and provide the critical timing for the improvement of science and technology of university. Meanwhile, it presents new challenges to develop the frontier of sciences and to promote cooperation and cross of different disciplines. Through the process of the programs, we will expect to train and find team leaders and outstanding scientists. This paper presented the brief outline how the researchers from the Departments of Infectious Disease and School of Pharmacy in Fudan University collaborated in a cross-discipline manner and integrated the research resources based on the objectives of the research programs. During the application, they reorganized research teams, combined the overlapping research fields to focus the direction of research fields according to the national and research needs. In the process of their application, they finally promoted the capacities for their competition and innovation which were undoubted to help us to establish headship/main forces in the fields of infectious disease precaution and devolvement of new clinical medicine in the future.

Objective To explore the CT manifestations of pediatric mesenechymal hamartoma of liver (MHL).Methods Clinical data of 15 cases with MHL confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. All children were performed with CT scans including plain and enhanced scans, and the imaging features were analyzed. Results All the lesions were solitary, and 9 masses located at the right lobe of liver,4 located at the left lobe, the others located at both right and left lobe. The maximum diameter of lesions was from 5 cm to 30 cm,with an average of (11.52±6.84) cm.Ten cases were cystic and solid mixed,5 cases were solid. After contrast administration, the solid component and the septa of the masses showed enhancement while no enhancement was observed in the cystic component. Two cases had the spot-like calcification. Conclusion MHL has some special characteristics in the CT scan before surgery, which should be differentiated from other cystic and solid tumors of live. Some MHLs can be diagnosed when combined with the clinical information and CT images.
