Objective To evaluate the expression of Integrin α2β1 in serum of osteosarcoma patients and to investigate the effect of Integrin α2β1 on metastasis of osteosarcoma. Methods Sandwich enzymelinked immunosorbent assay was applied to test Integrin α2β1 in serum of 26 healthy controls (male 16, female 10; age 18-32, average age 23.54±3.82) and 43 osteosarcoma patients (male 28, female 15;age 8-47,average age 18.42±9.10)before and after the surgery and the chemotherapy. The patients included osteoprogenitor cells type in 24 cases, fibroblast type in 9 cases, chondroblast type in 7 cases, and other types in 3cases; with Enneking stage ⅡA in 13 cases, stage ⅡB in 26 cases, stage Ⅲ in 4 cases. Among them, 22 patients receive the neo-adjuvant chemotherapy. After that, we compared the data of different groups. At the same time, in accordance with tumor size, position, clinical stage, histology grade and metastasis situation to categorize groups compared among the groups of serum Integrin α2β1 differences in order to explore its relationship with patients' prognosis and metastasis. Results The Integrin α2β1 of osteosarcoma patients in blood before the surgery was expressed highly. It was significantly higher than the control group. The expression before surgery had significant correlation with osteosarcoma Enneking clinical stages, tumor size and metastasis. And it was independent of tumor position and Dahlin histology grade. The expression of Integrin α2β1 in blood of the osteosarcoma patients after limb salvage surgery decreased significantly. And the expression of Integrin α2β1 in blood of patients receiving new adjuvant chemotherapy was significant differences before and after the chemotherapy. Conclusion The expression of Integrin α2β1 has positive correlation with the occurrence, development and metastasis of the osteosarcoma. It is probably a new biological indicator for diagnosis and estimating prognosis of osteosarcoma. Simultaneously surgery and new adjuvant chemotherapy are still effective methods to treat osteosarcoma.

Objective To identify objective methods for medical service performance evaluation,and means to improve the efficiency of medical services.Methods By means of collection of medical records from 10 tertiary hospitals in Yunnan in 2012,and Diagnosis-related groups of Beijing version(BJDRGs)as a risk-adjustment tool,medical service performance was made to such hospitals.Results The capacity,efficiency and medical safety of hospital of the hospitals were subject to a comprehensive evaluation of their medical service capabilities.In terms of discharged inpatients and total weight,hospital A were found to be the highest(77 458 cases,104 227.5 respectively),and hospital I the lowest(25 450 cases,38 162.28)among these hospitals in 2012; compared with other hospitals,DRG groups of hospitals A,b and D were found higher,while the case mix index(CMI)of hospitals e and I were higher.The expenditure index of hospital C is the lowest(0.9359,0.8514); the mortality in cases of low risk of hospitals B,c and D were the lowest,while hospital F was the highest.Conclusion DRGs as a risk adjustment tool,can significantly improve the reliability,science and continuity of medical service performance evaluation,providing reliable basic data for hospitals accreditation in Yunnan.

Objective To study whether bellidifolin has rehabilitation effect on injured sciatic nerve rats,and whether ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) is involved in this mechanism.Methods 225 male wistar rats were made to be sciatic nerve injured models,with right sciatic nerve being cut and sewed under microscopy,left sciatic being sham.Rats were randomly divided into control group,bellidifolin 25 mg,50 mg,75 mg groups and mecobalamin group,with 45 rats in each group.Rats in control group were just injected sodium chloride,others were intra-peritonealiy injected different doses of bellidifolin and mecobalamin after operation.Results Three weeks after operation,SFl of control group,mecobalaming group,bellidifolin 25 mg,50 mg and 75 mg group were-84.35± 4.87,-45.20±2.30,-70.42±4.21,-57.73±3.46 and-64.38±4.38 respectively.Compared with control group,others showed significant differences (P＜0.05).There were statistically differences between bellidifolin groups and mecobalaming group(P＜0.05).Within bellidifolin groups,50 mg group showed difference compared with 25 mg and 75 rg groups(P=0.031).TSW results also showed differences among bellidifolin groups,control group and mecobalaming group.There were statistical differences among bellidifolin groups(P＜0.05).Each groups with immunohistochemistry analysis,CNTF expression showed statistically differences among bellidifolin 50 mg group and 25 mg,70 rg groups,Bellidifolin 50 mg group was higher than others(P＜0.05).Conclusion Bellidifolin can promote the recovery of injured sciatic nerve,especially the concentration of 50 mg bellidifolin,and CNTF is involved in the rehablitation process.

Objective:To compare the osteogenic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)induced by osteopontin(OPN)and mineralizing culture medium(MCM).Methods:DPSCs were cultured with OPN(OPN group)and MCM(MCM group)respectively. The morphology of the DPSCs were observed under inverted microscope.The mineralize nodules were observed by alizarin red staining. RT-RCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of bone sialoprotein (BSP),Runt-related transcription factor 2(Runx-2),osteocal-cin(OCN)and collagen-1(Col-1).Results:Similar number of mineralized nodules was found in the 2 groups(P >0.05)after 28 day culture.The mRNA expression level of BSP gene in OPN group was higher than that in MCMgroup(0.864 ±0.112 and 0.514 ±0.068, P <0.05),while the expression level of Runx-2 gene in OPN group is lower than that in MCMgroup(0.186 ±0.017 and 0.324 ±0. 058,P <0.05).The expression level of Col-1 and OCN genes in both groups were similar(P >0.05).Conclusion:The capabilities of OPN and MCMin inducing osteogenic differentiation of DPSCs are similar.

Objective:To assess the survival-predictive value of TNM and Lugano staging systems in patients with primary gastro-intestinal lymphoma (PGL). Methods:A total of 73 patients with PGL were recruited from February 2001 to August 2013. All patients were diagnosed according to the TNM and Lugano staging systems. Five-year survival rate was used as the major clinical outcome. Sur-vival curves were plotted using the Kaplan–Meier method and analyzed with the log-rank test. The prognostic value of different vari-ables for clinical outcomes was assessed using the Cox multiple regression model. Results:The median follow-up time of surviving pa-tients was 42.4 months (range:1.3-158.6 months). The estimated 5-year overall survival rate was 77.82%. When diagnosed with the TNM system, the 5-year survival rates in stagesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ, andⅣwere 100%, 90.0%, 67.4%, and 22.2%, respectively (χ2=17.7956, P=0.0005). When staged by the Lugano system, the 5-year survival rates in stagesⅠ,Ⅱ,ⅡE , andⅣwere 100%, 100%, 70.7%, and 46.2%, respectively (χ2=15.6776, P=0.0013). Cox analysis showed that the invasion depth (T) (P=0.0181) and metastasis (M) (P=0.0031) were covariates that were prognostically significant for the overall survival. Conclusion:The TNM staging system is more ac-curate than the Lugano system in predicting the 5-year survival rate of patients with PGL.

Objective To study the effect of fascia parotideomasseterica reconstruction in the prevention of Frey syndrome.Methods 45 patients who suffered parotidectomy with parotid fascia maintained and reconstructed were followed-up,the OccurrenCe rate of Frey syndrome wasobserved.Results The occurrence rate of the subjective symptom8 with Frey syndrome Was 6.7%(3/45)6 montes after surgery;the occurrence rate of Frey syndrome was 11.1%(5/45)by Minor test review 1 year after surgery;the remaining 41 cases were non-induced reactlons.Condusion Fascia parotidcomassetefica could reduce the development of Frey syndrome in the parotid gland surgery in pafients with benign tumors.

Caveolae are specialized lipid rafts that form flask-shaped invaginations of the plasma membrane. Many researches show that caveolae are involved in cell signaling and transport. Caveolin-1 is the major coat protein essential for the formation of caveolae. Recently, several reports indicated that the other caveolae-associated proteins, Cavins, are required for caveola formation and organization. It's worth noting that Cavin-1 could cooperate with Caveolin-1 to accommodate the structural integrity and function of caveolae. Here, we reviewed that the relationship between Cavins and Caveolins and explore the role of them in regulating caveolae.

Objective To evaluate the value of the short-segment nerve conduction studies (SSCSs, inching test) in the diagnosis and localization of cubital tunnel syndrome (CubTS).Methods The clinical and electrophysiologic data of 46 patients (92 limbs from 32 men and 14 women, aged from 19 to 59 years, with average age of 41.2 years) with CubTS were collected.The symptoms occurred in unilateral arm in 41 patients and bilateral arms in 5 patients, involving 35 left arms and 16 right arms.SSCSs were performed in both arms in all the 46 patients.Sixty ulnar nerves were studied in 30 healthy control subjects using SSCSs.Results The 51 symptomatic arms with CubTS were abnormal in long segment motor nerve conduction studies.There were 68 abnormal arms ( 51 symptomatic arms, 17 asymptomatic arms ) in SSCSs.The lesions were located 2 cm proximal to the elbow-the elbow segment ( AE2-E ) in 41 arms (44.6%),the elbow-2 cm distal to the elbow segment (E-BE2) in 23 arms (25%), 4 cm proximal to the elbow-2 cm proximal to the elbow segment (AE4-AE2) in 18 arms (19.6%), 6 cm proximal to the elbow-4 cm proximal to the elbow segment (AE6-AE4) in 9 arms (9.8%), 2 cm distal to the elbow-4 cm distal to the elbow segment (BE2-BE4) in 8 arms(8.6%) and 4 cm distal to the elbow-6 cm distal to the elbow segment (BE4-BE6) in 6 arms(6.5%),respectively.Conclusions SSCSs are more sensitive in detecting CubTS than the conventional long segment motor conduction studies.SSCSs could precisely localize the entrapment lesions in patients with CubTS ,might be a useful tool for the detection of ulnar mononeuropathy at the elbow, especially for diagnosing the patients with CubTS who have no clinical features or have a normal long segmental nerve conduction findings.

Objective To make a survey on common cosmetic allergens, and to provide epidemiological data and clinical evidence for cosmetic allergy. Methods Patch test was performed by using 49cosmetic allergens from a European cosmetic series and 5 Chinese standard screening allergens on 89patients with suspected cosmetic allergic contact dermatitis. Test results were determined according to the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG) recommendation. Results Of the 89 patients, 61(68.5%) showed positive reactions to one or more cosmetic allergens. The most common allergens were fragrances (33.7%), followed by preservatives (30.3%), para-phenylenediamine (25.8%) and amerchol L 101(10.1%). Conclusion Fragrances, preservatives, para-phenylenediamine and amerchol L 101 are dominant causative allergens in patients with cosmetic allergic contact dermatitis.

Objective To explore the effect of rifampin liposome in treatment of tuberculosis in mice.Methods Sixty KM mice were infected by H37Rv to prepare tuberculosis model.Rifampin liposome was prepared by thin film dispersing method.Mice were randomly divided into 4 groups(15 mice each):group of normal control,empty liposome control,rifampin(10mg/kg body weight/day) and rifampin liposome(7mg/kg body weight/day).Rifampin and rifampin liposome were put into drinking water,respectively.Mice were sacrificed after one month of oral treatment to analysize the difference of lung weight and to homogenize lung,spleen,liver tissues to test bacteria burden(cfu).Results Lung weight was significantly different in rifampin and rifampin liposome groups when compared with normal control,empty liposome control groups respectively(P0.05) in two drug groups.Things were the same when compared bacteria cfu in lung,spleen and liver tissue.Conclusion Rifampin liposome may become a promising preparation in the treatment of tuberculosis which make it possible to reduce the clinical dose and thus weaken side effects of rifampin.
