1.The Role of Selectins in Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury of Brain
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(11):-
Selectins are a family of adhesion molecules, including P-,L-,E-selectins.The three adhesion molecules all participate in the inflammatory processes of ischemia-reperfusion injury of brain.P-selectin is expressed on activated platelets as well as on endothelial cells.E-selectin is only expressed on endothelial cells.P-and E-selectin mediate the adhesion of the leukocytes, platelets and endothelial cells.L-selectin is mainly expressed on leukocytes and mediates leukocytes rolling contact with microvascular endothelial cells.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To vie the effect of theophylline on eosinophil (Eos) apoptosis. Methods EDTA-anticoagulated venous blood was obtained from 15 healthy volunteers and pre-incubated with saline or theophylline (10 -4 M) or dexamethasone and rhIL-5(10 -8 M),respectively. The mRNA of bcl-2 and bax were determined by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),and their cytoplasm proteins were determined by flo cytometry. Results Analysis revealed that the bax protein express intracellular without any stimulator, but not bcl-2 in protein and mRNA levels. And culturing Eos in the presence of 10 -8 M IL-5 for 24 hours up-regulating bcl-2 mRNA ( P

Journal of Chinese Physician 2009;11(2):210-213
Objective To investigate whether intrauterine hypoxia and ischemia can produce long-time effects or NOSI can prevent these damages. Methods Fetal rat intrauterine distress model was constructed. The rats were divided into the normal group, hypoxia and ischemia reperfnsion group and treatment group. Pupa were given to surrogate mothers and the ability of learning and memory at 40 day of age after delivery were examined. Then the water maze test was performed to detect the space learning ability and memory function of rats, and the changing of synaptophysin levels in hippocampns were detected by immunohistochemical staining. Result Behavioral results show that fetal distress produces cognitive impairment demonstrated by Morris water maze performance including a higher escape latency score and a de-creased cross platform time. The COD of Syp positive immunoreactive product in hippocampus were less decreased than that in the normal group or NOSI group. But the behavioral results and the COD of synaptophysin had no difference between normal group and NOSI group. Conclusions Fetal distress produced cognitive impairment and led to the decreasing of synaptophysin in hippocampns. Effective measure can relieve these damages.

Objective To investigate the clinical values of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) detection in the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases .Methods 965 patients with rheumatic diseases were taken as rheumatic group ,including 256 cases of SLE , 124 of mixed connective tissue disease(MCTD) ,336 of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) ,166 of Sjogren′s Syndrome(SS) ,45 of systemic sclerosis(SSc) and 38 of dermatomyositis .400 healthy people were served as the control group .Indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) was employed to detect the cytoplasmic ANCA (c-ANCA ) ,perinuclear ANCA (p-ANCA ) .Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was utilized to assay the anti-myeloperoxidase(MPO) antibody among patients with positive ANCA .Results Difference of positive rates of serum ANCA of subjects in rheumatic group and control group showed statistical significance (P<0 .01) ,and the differences of positive rates of serum p-ANCA and c-ANCA of subjects with positive ANCA between the two group were also sta-tistically significant(P<0 .01) .The positive rate of serum p-ANCA of patients with SLE was markedly higher than those with MCTD ,RA ,SS ,SSc ,dermatomyositis and healthy people in control group (P< 0 .05) ,while that of patients with MCTD was obviously higher than those with RA ,SS ,SSc ,dermatomyositis and healthy people in control group (P<0 .05) .The positive rate of anti-MPO antibody of 165 patients with positive ANCA in rheumatic group was 58 .4% ,which was significantly higher than that in control group(3% )(P<0 .01) .The positive rate of patients with positive ANCA and impaired renal function in rheumatic group was 55 .4% ,which was obviously higher than those of patients with negative ANCA in rheumatic group (21 .8% ) and control group (6 .25% )(P<0 .01) .Conclusion Serum ANCA detection is of important significance for prevention of nephrotoxic damage in pa-tients with rheumatic diseases .

Objective To investigate the effect of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) on seizure frequency in epilepsy patients complicated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Methods Subjects were divided into CPAP group (20 subjects) and medication group (22 subjects) according to whether they can tolerate CPAP. CPAP group were treated with CPAP combined with antiepileptic drugs. Medication group were treated with antiepileptic drugs alone. Seizure frequency and apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) were compared between groups before and after 4 weeks and 24 weeks of treatment. Results Baseline seizure frequency and apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) were compared between groups(P>0.05). A sig?nificant reduction of seizure frequency was observed in CPAP group after 4 weeks and 24 weeks of treatment compared to that before treatment (P<0.01). In medication group, no significant difference in seizure frequency was noted betweem 4 weeks and 24 weeks after treatment compared to that before treatment(P>0.05). A significant reduction of AHI was ob?served in the CPAP group after 24 weeks of treatment compared to that before treatment (P<0.01), but no change of AHI by treatment was observed in medication group (P>0.05). Conclusion Treatment of OSA in patients complicated with epilep?sy may improve seizure control in short and long term, but longer observation time and more samples are needed for further research.

OBJECTIVE: To establish headspace capillary gas chromatography for the content determination of residual solvents in letrozole, such as chloroform, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, DMF and isopropanol. METHODS: Dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide, chloroform, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, DMF and isopropanol in letrozole were determined by headspace gas chromatography with HP-5 capillary gas chromatography. ECD was applied for chloroform, while FID was applied for the other residual solvents. RESULTS: The liner ranges of chloroform, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, DMF and isopropanol were 1.028~10.28 mg?L-1(r=0.999 9), 94.68~946.8 mg?L-1 (r=0.999 7), 94.64~946.4 mg?L-1(r=0.999 7), 110.64~1 106.4 mg?L-1(r=0.999 7), 15.12~151.2 mg?L-1(r=0.999 6), 116.48~1 164.8 mg?L-1(r=0.999 5), respectively. The average recoveries of the residual organic solvents ranged from 97% to 102%. The detection limits were 20~90 ?g?L-1. The residual levels of the six organic solvents in three batches of samples were all up to the standard stipulated in Chinese Pharmacopeia. CONCLUSIONS: The method is simple, sensitive, accurate and reliable for the content determination of residual organic solvents in letrozole.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(01):-
Target cells K562 were labeled using two different isotopes,~(51)Cr and ~(125)I-UdR,for detecting NK activity of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in normal subjects. The NK activity was higher in ~(51)Cr release assay in comparison with ~(125)I-UdR release assay. After six-hour incubation, the percentage release of ~(51)Cr was around 60% whereas that of ~(125)I-UdR was only 30% in 20 hours. ~(125)I-UdR release could be enhanced by trypsin treatment.
