Objective In order to provide important theoretical basis for further improving design of DC-7/7A high altitude partial pressure suit and FTF-2 air ventilation suit (named as A suit and B suit), the performance of ventilating heat dissipation of DC-7/7A and FTF-2 was studied. Methods Five healthy volunteers were enrolled to took participate in A group and B group tests. Environmental weather conditions for A and B suits were set at Tdb 40℃ and 45℃,rh 45% and 40% respectively, and the test time was 90min and 120 min respectively. Results During the test for A group and B group, Ts ranged from 31.5℃ to 34.5℃ for human comfort. Average skin temperatures of the lower part of the body were from 33.1℃ to 33.8℃. Skin temperatures of the legs did not obviously change or slightly lowered. Heart rate showed an increase of 12 beats/min and 14 beats/min. Sweat quantities were measured to be 0.288?0.056kg/1.5h and 0.445kg?0.077 kg/2h respectively. Evaporation rates were 77.4?3.6% and 84.2?2.4% respectively. Subjective uncomfortable sensation was more obvious as test time went on. Conclusion The results of the ventilating heat dissipation for both groups were quite good, but the findings suggested that the number of the ventilating holes for some important sites should shall be re-considered. Pilots wearing A group and B group with ventilation function would still suffer from mild heat stress and obvious subjective discomfort in hot enviroment.

Objective To explore the difference in pulmonary function between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and overlap syndrome patients. Methods 50 hospitalized COPD patients who were randomly recruited were divided into two groups, which contained 33 COPD patients and 17 overlap syndrome patients respectively. All the 50 patients’pulmonary function was evaluated and the results were analyzed statistically. Results The pulmonary function test showed that only PEF and V75 significantly decreased in overlap syndrome patients compared with COPD patients(P=0 032 and 0 048 respectively),But pulmonary volume, small airway function and pulmonary diffusion function in 5 COPD patients with severe sleep apnea syndrom (SAS) were significantly reduced compared with COPD patients. Conclusions Upper airway obstruction in SAS patients aggravates the pulmonary ventilation function in overlap syndrome. And obesity deteriorates both of the pulmonary function and hypoxemia in patients suffered from COPD.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2011;46(8):595-599
Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of positive peritoneal cytology in patients with endometrial cancer. Methods The records of 315 patients with endometrial cancer who were operated at Cancer Hospital, Fudan University between January 1996 and December 2008 were reviewed.Peritoneal cytology were performed and diagnosed in all patients.Factors related with peritoneal cytology were analyzed by correlation analysis.Log-rank test and Cox regression test was used for the analysis of prognosis, respectively. Results (1) Peritoneal cytology were positive in 30 (9.5%) patients.Positive peritoneal cytology was associated with pathological subtype ( P = 0.013 ), stage ( P = 0.000 ), myometrial invasion ( P =0.012), lymph-vascular space invasion ( P = 0.012 ), serosal involvement ( P = 0.004 ), cervical involvement ( P = 0.016), adnexal involvement ( P = 0.000), and omental involvement ( P = 0.000), with no association with grade ( P = 0.152 ) and lymph node metastasis ( P = 0.066 ).( 2 ) Three-year overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival(PFS) were 93.0% and 85.5% ,respectively.Positive peritoneal cytology, surgical stage, pathological subtype, myometrial invasion, grade, and lymph-vascular space invasion were significantly associated with worse prognosis by univariate analysis ( P < 0.05 ), while only surgical-pathology stage and myometrial invasion were independent prognostic factors by multivariate analysis ( P < 0.05 ).For 30 cases with positive peritoneal cytology, the patients with no high risk factors shown significantly prognoses better than those with any risk factors. The results shown that for patients with late stage (stage Ⅲ - Ⅳ ) endometrial cancer with positive peritoneal cytology was significantly associated with the worse OS and PFS by multivariate analysis ( P = 0.006).Conclusions Positive peritoneal cytology was associated with serosal involvement, cervical involvement, adnexal involvement, omental involvement, and late stage. Therefore, peritoneal cytology should be performed and reported separately as a part of full surgical staging procedure.

Aim To observe the effect of valsartan on expression of Smads of HKCs stimulated by TGF-?1.Methods HKCs were divided into three groups:control group,TGF-?1 group and valsartan group.Total protein was firstly abstracted at 30 min after stimulation to detect p-Smad2/3 protein by Western blot.Total RNA and protein were abstracted at 48 hours after stimulation. The expressions of Smad2/3,Smad7 were measured by Western blot.Smad2mRNA and Smad7mRNA were measured by RT-PCR.Meanwhile, The protein synthesis of Col Ⅰ in the supernatants of the HKCs was detected by Western blot.MTT assay was used to investigate the effect of valsartan on proliferation of HKCs stimulated by 5 ?g?L-1 TGF-?1 at different time and different drug concentration. Results Western blot analysis indicated that TGF-?1 stimulation could increase the expression of Smad2/3 and activate phosphorylation of Smad2/3 at 48 hour.At the same time,Smad7 decreased.Valsartan could reduce the level of Smad2/3 and p-Smad2/3 but it did not have any effect on the expression of Smad7 protein.RT-PCR analysis also showed that the expression of Smad2mRNA or Smad7mRNA was higher after TGF-?1 stimulation than control group, while valsartan could down-regulate the expression of Smad2mRNA.There was no difference of the expression of Smad7mRNA between the TGF-?1 stimulation group and valsartan treatment group.Valsartan could also greatly ameliorate the secretion of Col Ⅰ in the supernatants of the HKCs stimulated by TGF-?1 detected by Western blot.Compared with control group,TGF-?1 supressed the proliferation of HKCs,While 1,10 and 100 ?mol?L-1 valsartan ameliorated it and the effect was dependent of dose. Conclusion Valsartan has some renal protective effects on renal interstitial fibrosis, partly through inhibiting TGF-?/Smads signaling pathway.
