Objective To summarize the progress on the injury mechanism of vascular endothelial cells in atherosclerosis. Methods The latest progress was reviewed in recent literatures. Results All kinds of etiological factors have activated NF kappa B and cytokines in the development of atherosclerosis, which lead to expression of cell adhesive molecules and adhesion of monocytes to vascular endothelial cells.A variety of inflammatory mediums are released, which can directly damage endothelial cells.Besides, the inflammatory mediums make monocytes and neutrophils attach to endothelial cells by immune mechanisms, which injure the endothelial cells more severely. Meanwhile the damaged membrance structure leads to the production of AECA which activates the complementary system. Then the vascular endothelial cell injury is aggravated and the development of atherosclerosis accelerated. Conclusion It is very important to recognize the injury mechanism of vascular endothelial cells in the development of atherosclerosis for prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.

0.05). Positive expression of 2 or all 3 markers of neuroendocrine cell was detected in all 16 samples; negative expression of all 5 peptide hormones was observed in only 25% of samples. At a mean follow-up of 44.2 months (range 4 months-7 years ), the mean time from resection to relapse or metastasis was 29.8 months; 7 cases survived more than 5 years, of which 2 have survived for 7 years. Two cases, who subjected non-operative treatment, survired 39,61 months, respectively. Conclusions Clinical manifestations of NPNEC are non-specific. Only a few tumors in NPNEC patients do not yield peptide hormones. Treatment of NPNEC (including patients with liver metastasis) with aggressive surgical resection followed by interventional methods can result in excellent overall long-term survival.

Sulfur compounds in the diesel were selectively derived into methylsulfonium salts by reacting with iodomethane in the presence of silver tetrafluoroborate, and characterized by positive-ion electrospray ionization (ESI) fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR MS). The conversion ratios and react selectivities of the methylation for various sulfur compounds were investigated by gas chromatograph coupled with pulse flame photometric detector (GC-PFPD). Result shows that the sulfur compounds in the diesel can react with iodomethane easily at room temperature, the most of sulfur compound derived into methylsulfonium salts;the homologue of benzothiophene get the higher conversion ratio and react selectivity than the homologue of dibenzothiophene (DBT). It is found that primarily sterically hindered alkylated DBT, for example, 4- or 4-, 6- DBT, is recalcitrant to be methylated. Other than benzothiophenes and dibenzothiophenes, one- and two-ring sulfides, as well as other sulfur compounds with a double bond equivalent (DBE) value ranged from 1 to 12 are identified in the diesel.

Objective:A new algorithm based on Hough transform (HT) was proposed to improve the accuracy and stability of the film image analysis of Automatic Quality Assurance (AQA) test, and to explore the influence of the resolution of film image on the test results. Methods:Nine pairs of films were obtained for AQA modules in this study. Firstly, the median filter was used to preprocess the grayed-out film image to remove noise interference. Then, a global threshold was utilized to binarize the image. The images were edge-detected and the film edge line was extracted by Hough transform. The film image was transformed to the correct position. Finally, the edge of the field shadow circle and the shadow circle of the tungsten ball were extracted by the edge detection method and Hough transform. The radial error was finally obtained by analyzing the concentricity. Results:There was no significant difference in the accuracy between the test results yielded by the HT method and the AQA software ( P>0.05). The difference in the standard deviation of the test results was statistically significant ( P=0.027), indicating that the algorithm increased the stability while ensuring the accuracy of film analysis. Increasing the resolution of film scanning failed to significantly improve the accuracy and stability of film analysis in both two methods. Conclusions:The algorithm used in this study can eliminate the human error caused by film scanning placement while ensuring the accuracy of film analysis, providing a more stable way for the AQA test of the CyberKnife system.
